Exploring old dingy alleyways, visiting wet markets, walking around the old neighborhoods, visiting Chinese villages, these are really cool acivities to do in China when u feel that u hv had enough of city life full of countless high rises, ultra modern shopping malls, well maintained parks and roads without a single pothole, China is a really beautiful county with diverse cultures and traditions .
There is something relaxing about these places that u can’t find in the cities.
It’s called. Life
Everyone runs a small business. 10am a restaurant opens. Beside it a place sells fuel for scooters. Besides him a watch repair business. Love it

I found this video randomly and must say, it’s very calming and relaxing, I love visiting these sort of places in china, to get out of the city . Not saying it in Bad way, it’s more like a city detox, to get to know how pple live like 30yrs ago.
This is not paradise, but this not the hell. This is the middle life type of all humans in this world.

This place looks like a bigger version of the village in "Kung Fu Hustle". But no children here.
I’m noticing a lot of old people. Middle-aged to elderly, but so many elderly people. Not one teenager or child. Don’t know if it’s because this is filmed during school hours or what the cases is but it seems like a consequence of the one child policy and an aging population.
This is a fascinating video, showing everyday life in the city...very interesting, thanks for making this video

Nothing too bad about it, looser. Every place has some small shady areas. Your mum could prob find some good employment in that one small area. Rest of the place is vibrant and bustling.
This was most chaotic area and was the very limited and small percentage of a city. The people who are living here in general banked their most of income for their families in remote areas. I fully respect how they have contributed to their family and to the country development.

I visited Chongqing 20 years ago but I did not see this section. Very interesting and large city. Watching from the Philippines. Many Chinese here also.
It's great that they don't have corporate chain junk food like McDonald's, etc. They have access to fresh market food every day but the drawback is that the conditions are not hygienic and a foreigner like me would get stomach distress.

@@dutch931 I known her since 2008 and we are still best friends and I still help her with things now and then and especially with communication against city and government authorities. However, we separated after 10 years for reasons that is personal. Things has gotten better while we both aged - none of us has really closed the door yet. Hope that satisfy your curiosity.

@@dutch931 permanent residency but I learned her Swedish good enough so think she could qualify for Swedish citizenship (better than many that should not had SE passport) but she said she still enjoy to keep China pass as long she want to visit China.

I stayed in Da Nang. Tourist at the seafront, fancy restaurants bars etc. But I enjoyed immensely going 10 blocks inland where the Vietnamese worked, lived and thrived. Just the sound of people and life 👍

We used to call this area the village among the city. It usually located at the new developing district which needs a lot general labor for construction or manufacturing. My home town Guangzhou still has this kinds of setting but evolved a lot a lot. Chongqing just started redeveloping less than 2 decades. Give them a bit more time.
The stand out thing to me is how much more weight everyone now carries compared to many years ago, the women in particular. You used to see everyone on bicycles, now it’s electric scooters, so less exercise, and too much of something in their diet. The TCM doctors favourite diagnosis is fatty liver, for good reason.
Here we have the daily toil of poor people in most countries. China's total wealth is $85 trillion, right below the US, the richest country, whose total wealth is $146 trillion, and having like China lots of poor, homeless, and drug addict people. 💕☮🌎🌌

Singapore, is hub for almost everything no wonder since 40% of the population is immigrants.
