    We don't have a Goodwill bins but a bins store that is returned Amazom/Temu style pallets, they restock on Saturdays and start at $7 then reduce by a $1 each day. Today was $1 day, they were busy, all I found was a John Wick DVD with all three movies on, sold on Mercari same day.

    It's neat to see how bins in different states work. At ours, it's like a feeding frenzy and folks are allowed to stand around the edges where the bins come out and carts are allowed. I've also had someone take stuff out of my cart while I set it aside to dig into a new bin. Great finds and I LOVE that Tupperware set!

    • @tuitionaintcheap
      @tuitionaintcheap  9 месяцев назад

      We have another bins about three hours away from me and that one has different rules. It's kind of like yours where they bring out the new bins and everybody stands around them and you have to wait until they yell "go" and then you can start digging through.

    Not sure if you have a deep freezer or if it’s cold where you live but if you bag up the con air with newspaper in it and let it get cold it removed the smell. I do this with Tupperware because it’s common to smell like smoke

    How do you hold/mark your shopping cart at the bins? Do people ever take this out of them?

    • @tuitionaintcheap
      @tuitionaintcheap  9 месяцев назад

      95% of the people are regulars so I park my cart next to people I "know". Everyone looks out for other people's carts and speak up if they see anyone going through carts. Usually it people who don't know because they are new. I always take bags and leave them in the back of my cart so I know which is mine.

    Honestly, this is kind of disgusting. People donate things for the less fortunate and needy. Then greedy people come and buy the items to resell. I'm trying to be polite. You should stop doing this. I know people who operate stores like this and they have to mark up prices because of people like you doing things like this.

      @@hannahbruns4465 Ok I am glad that you are glad.
      People taking things from such stores and reselling them online for profit is a real problem.
      Maybe this particular store is different. Making a video like this can only encourage more people to participate in this activity.
      What I said is true. I know for fact that it is a problem.
      I didn't just make stuff up to complain about.
      Lazy people, usually with addiction problems and mental illness. Go to such stores, purchase discounted items, and then list them on ebay.
      Then the people who run the stores are forced to charge money, and raise the price.
      Then people who run such stores are in a problem.
      We cant argue with you people, because you are perfect, right all the time, and can do no wrong.
      So what can we do? If we open a store to give things away for free. Then selfish people see an opportunity to get free money.
      Then they pick out all the cool items, to resell online. Then a struggling family comes in and there is nothing for them.
      Then we have to charge money. But even that can't deter people, who will see they can spend $10 and sell it online for $100
      Then we have to charge $80 to make it not worth your time. Then the struggling family can't afford it anyways.
      Again, this is a real problem, in the real world. Which I have seen with my own eyes and know is real.
      So I don't care if everyone here is the exception. The facts are the facts and these are the facts. Peace.
