My grandparents had a large table lamp oil rainfall in their living room. I LOVED watching it when I was little. Just after I was married my parents knew I loved it and said I could have it in our house. This was about 20 years ago and even back then I knew it was valuable BUT I ended up selling it for pretty cheap because it smelled like oil and the pump made too much noise. There was oil all over sometimes. I knew right away you were going to have a mess laying that lamp on it's side. But now you know.

I’ve been selling a variety of items on eBay for years but I especially love vintage and fine jewelry. My plan is to do this full time and your content is very helpful. I love the fact that you are transparent about the pros and cons of full time reselling. I’m going into this knowing it will take hard work and time but I’m determined to do it. Do you test the hot rollers?

They used oil in those lamps to run slowly down the strings. My hubby & I always thought they were the tackiest things we ever saw LOL!!!

I had this turtle for my kids growing up. I think I sold it at a garage sale back in the 90s for five bucks so crazy what sells for bug profit!!

I've been reselling for years and usually know an item is worth picking up when watching other reseller's videos, but you consistently highlight items I wouldn't normally consider, which is so refreshing! To be honest, your personality and mine clash quite a bit, and the repetitive rambling can be tough to get through. But the knowledge I'm gaining makes it worth it. You're an awesome reseller, and I'm learning a lot from you!

I just sold that Nars bday gift lol. Priced it pretty low w/ free shipping, but it was an easy ship. Didn’t realize hot rollers were so….hot rn. I also forgot about how to apply the sell-through rate! I was shying away from anything with less than a 50% sell-through instead of thinking in terms of how LONG it might take the item to sell.

Maybe a dumb quesiton: but when you show a photo of solds in the video, are those YOURS that sold? Amazing not much broke or leaked in these boxes -- i probably put a pound of packing in a package that has 1/10 of the amounts of breakables as this parfume lot.

Shopping at the Goodwill bins just doesn't look like that much fun to me. Probably much better in person. The nearest one to me is almost 3 hours away.

Their buyer's premium is high! I deal with a local auction house here that I've been dealing with for decades & I also bid online & pay state tax to them when I'm done (I just drive 35 mins to them & pick up; I used to live closer), but their buyer's premium is 12%!!! I'm really glad you were able to send him your PS label.. what a difference!!!

I loved hearing about this lot. I always go for perfumes at estate sales but have never found a large auction lot. Question: do you think it was worth your time to purchase and list? I'm always trying to optimize my listings and my time and sometimes my perfumes move so slowly that I wonder if my time wasn't better spent on other items!

You can always put plastic over the leaking splash before you put the lid on. That is what I do with products that I travel with and it usually works out ok.
