I'm so happy someone said it It's sad, because I'm not having fun looking for how to get to the next Place. It was forgivable in the base game, felt like none of the essential locations were hidden behind some nonsense. Progression was natural (even though I'm still against certain plot lines and side quests being locked once you progressed to a point.) And you didn't have to look too hard to get where you needed to be next. But here? God DAMN, why was one of the big areas hidden behind a freaking hidden passage invisible wall?? Did I miss the note explaining that bull shit?
that worst thing is that looking at the map isn´t helping anything, you can see a few roads but im always standing at a cliff looking down an unknown area and asking myself "how the hell do i get down there" and then u have to watch a video to find out that there is a hidden cave somewhere that takes u there...
I made it to the final room without finding more than half of the map… without completing the NPC storylines etc. I ended up finding some afterwards just to be entirely over leveled.
You my friend are true mvp. Exploring has gone do much worse and unintuitive compared to the base game. I explored and found everything (even hidden things). But this is just meh, big open and empty arras just threw me off od enjoyment.
So I first defeated the dancing lion then renella then I made my way to the black castle and defeated the hippo made my way to the top and was fucking shook to find the final boss snake dude from the trailer to greet me granted the enimes were tough that they were doing a shit ton of damage but I assumed it was the just the manner of the dlc so I fucking left and was just confused on where the fuck I should've went before the castle I wish the sites of grace pointed on where to go like the main campaign did!

@@tdcMcDom There is no in game quest I think, but I thought it was fairly obvious when you already have the gesture plus the dev message in the room. It makes no sense on its own, but after dark souls 3 hiding an entire area behind a gesture, I expected it here as well tbh. Honestly Placidusax I think is far more hidden than this.

No, actually it’s more like hours and hours of dying to the same boss over and over again and then like I’ve been walking to get to the next area and then dying on your way to the boss and then finally getting there after an hour and then dying to the boss for hours and then doing that over again and again Until you decide to beat radahm
Man I really hope they find a new map designer in the next game, exploring in this dlc isn't fun, it's super frustrating. Needing to stumble upon one little thing to completely unlock an area is freaking ridiculous. Oh dear lord! Most confusing map ever! Its a struggle to reach almost everyplace. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing shadow of the colossus. Lots of horse rides, get completely lost and finally find a boss to be stuck in .
okay, so the BEST loop with base game was, explore lose explore and power up return and win and keep going. however with Dlc, when u lose it’s VERY hard to explore and find stuff ngl. even just getting to cerulean coast was brain racking :( so u end up feeling “stuck” which is not fun when bosses track u like crazy (renalla)

When Elon Musk said this game feels like it was made by an alien, they really took that to heart with the exploration of this dlc. The hidden paths and gesture unlocks and shit just don’t seem like something humans are meant to figure out.

The O mother gesture unlock is funny, i would never have expected that, i just hit every suspect wall or statues i come across and it usually works but this one remind me of the nameless king in DS3

I found most areas, but I found others really unintuitive to find, thanks really helped me out progressing the exploration.
