I just called the dealer to get a quote on how much the repair would cost. $217 for labor and $150 for the part. You just saved me a bundle of money! I can't say thank you enough!!!!!

Thank You for your video. I just completed the replacement of a door lock actuator on my Santa Fe. Without your help I would have really struggled with the process. You are the only one who posted what I needed to walk me through it.

I also had to replace the driver side actuator, Sonata 2011, but I got stuck at removing the inner panel. Your video showed me how to remove the inner panel and I was able to replace the actuator. Thanks!!!!

Really nice job on this video! I needed to replace the gas switch and door lock actuator on the driver door. I figured it would be pretty simple, but it was more difficult than expected. I did a quick search, watched your video and was able to complete the job! Without watching your video, I was stuck. Thanks for taking the time to upload it.

Hi there!! I wish I had seen your video yesterday!!! My 05 Tucson is at the shop right now awaiting a power door lock/unlock switch thingie and I'm told the part is $230 and has to come from the East coast. Of course...I am West Coast! How can there be not ONE door lock thingie in the state of Oregon??? o_O. And the total cost he said will be $650!!!! ($115 diagnose.) What happened was my battery kept going dead and I just KNEW it was a short in the power door locks cuz...it would either lock on it's own, so if I was out of the vehicle I would be LOCKED OUT!!!, (so I was careful), or it would stick halfway and I would have to manually have to keep pressing the inside door lock til it unstuck, cuz the remote didn't help to unstick it, or I had to use the key and manually unlock the door..? Then at random times I would hear clicking in the back doors wile driving. ..
I can not believe it is going to cost THAT much for 5 door switch and the labor. I don't know how many switches there are that might need replacing. How did you trouble shoot to figure out what needed to be replaced in your vehicle??? It took you what...an hour total, maybe, to do it yourself? Oh, gosh how can a REPUTABLE shop charge that much??? You said your whole module cost about 100 bucks???
Thanks so much for putting up this video. I'm sure it saved a lot of people money but I can't 'do it myself'. I just hate to get ripped off!!! Thanks again for your help. :)

Hilarious video. You guys make a funny recorder/recordee team lol. Anyways, this is a crappy design. There should be an access point to remove the actuator. For a cheaper repair, head over to an audio/alarm shop and have them install an aftermarket actuator for half the price ( installed ).

I think I have the same problem. Do you remember if you could lock the door manually with a key? Of course the inside latch doesn't work or the button on the remote Mine is like jammed . all other doors work fine
