Graham Norton is by far the best talk show host in the world, he never outshines the guests, yet is brilliantly entertaining. The guests relax and it becomes like a group of friends. I hope James Corden is taking note.
The combination of guests on the couch is always great
Absolutely. It is the only talk show I will watch regardless of who the guests are. I know it will be entertaining no matter what.
Only an Irishman such as Graham Norton Cork man can be a ringmaster that is that’s good he’s brilliant
It helps that he serves real drinks ;-]
Graham gets all the greats on his show. People seem so relaxed and come out with the funniest things.
I think the alcohol helps 😂
This is the number one chat show in the UK and always gets the best guests. A lot of the Hollywood actors who appear seem to like the informality. They’re particularly amused that they can swear on the show.
Amused, too, that they are allowed to drink on the show.
Graham norton or Jonathan Ross 🤔 both great 👍
@@janecatterson4554 Ross has a lot more awkward moments than Norton does, tho
Norton #1 !
You should see Miriam Margoloys on there. It’s always brilliant when she’s on. She never holds back
agreed!
Yes she is unashamedly cheeky
I think Joel would have a heart attack🙄🙄🙄
@@vallee3140 hahaha me too. I think American talk shows are weird when they bleep out the word arse!
My adult son says she reminds him of me.
Sir Patrick Stewart’s Circumcising Story is the least shocking story on the show. TRUST ME.
How can he not know about his own dick? I think that was made up, but not funny.
Unlike most other chat shows, they allow the guests to have a few drinks before and on set. This allows the guests to be relaxed and at the same time more open on "stories". For Matt damon to class the GNS as the best chat show he has ever been on, it must be good for the guests too.
That's a great show. Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Hugh bonneville. Straight from monuments men premiere, already a few champers down 🍾 🥂 it's a great show.
Graham has a knack for not treading on toes. He gets the good stuff, and goes one step further than other hosts. It’s a fine line.
To quote a drunk Matt Damon
"This is the most fun talkshow I've ever been on"
Was the episode where Matt sat on Graham lap?
Graham Norton is the best talk show because he puts all kinds of celebrities together, it feels very comfortable and them just talking and it feels very casual
No one could top how good this show and graham is
Graham Norton is great. A lot of us in New Zealand love to watch his show.
He also gets a lot of Kiwis
In the red chair telling their stories.
What's so great about this show is that it's like family or friends getting together, sitting, sipping drinks and talking. Graham Norton sees to it that everyone on the couch gets to plug their movie or show or act but does not cut off guests incessantly. It's a great formula and Norton is the best host of any chat show.
Lee Mack making John Cleese collapse with laughter on Graham Norton's red sofa is a great moment.
The reason Graham is so popular is that his Irish personality transcends all nationalities.. gorgeous guy.. love Ahakista!
Any show with Greg Davies is hilarious. David Tennant & Michael Sheen are great too. 👍
Yes, you should definitely watch another Graham Norton compilation; they are pretty much all 'gold' - the calibre of the guests, the relaxed atmosphere and Graham Norton himself is such a 'pro'....and, at the same time, such a 'natural' 🌟
Graham Norton is the BEST talk show host. The US sadly doesn’t have anyone like him
They have EVERYONE on the Graham Norton show bar the Queen/King. If you haven't been on the Graham Norton show and you're not royalty, you're not famous either.
Graham is by Far the Best Interviewer on British TV!
Miriam margoles on graham Norton . That's the one to watch !!!
@@rebeccat94 I was a little surprised he got so uncomfortable about the circumcision story.
@@rebeccat94 yeah, I didn't think about that but it totally makes sense. Thanks!
I think if you watch Talk Shows Joel they are the static type where guests only talk about their latest film, song or win. Graham Norton lets the guest talk and laugh amongst themselves which is why the American guests (all A-listers) love to attend - and often come back again and again. It's refreshing to hear them talk about embarrassing moments as well as when they were lauded.
Yeah, its great that the BBC cant advertise, so they talk about the new film/book etc. once, but its just an hour of 4-6 celebs having a good time.
Miriam Margoyles on Graham Norton is Brilliant
You should watch Miriam Margolys on the show. She looks just a sweet old lady, but she has no filter and a wealth of showbiz stories. Stanley Tucci falling off the couch laughing is so funny. Such a nice man, and he really knows how to enjoy himself.
The Graham Norton Show is the best talk/comedy show in the World! He always has the best guests around the World. It is totally different than the US shows, cause they are really having fun, drinking, swearing, doing stunts, pranks etc... Absolutely more...pls!
"They got the rock on here?"
Dude, American actors are on a list to get on this show.
They seek to be on the show more than Graham seeks people to be on the show.
Why are Americans so embarrassed about things that we just laugh at??
From a country (USA) that are obsessed with circumcising their boys they should be embarrassed!
Very different culture lmao
Probably worried they'd get sued, somehow...
Was it not the “puritans” that left the UK for what is now the US?
Also I think that varies person to person. Some people are prudes and some aren’t.
But if we are speaking generally Brit’s are embarrassed at some things Americans that just laugh at or see as normal. You could really say this about most cultures.
Emilia Clarke and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are so hilarious together. An underrated comedy duo.
Graham Norton has one of the few chat shows that celebrities go on because they actually want to, and have such a laugh, rather than because they have something to plug. Of course it helps that they are given copious quantities of alcohol to losen them up. As Matt Damon said: "This is the most fun I've ever had on a talk show"
Did this guy seriously see sir Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman in the first clip, and said that he's surprised Graham Norton was able to get The Rock on his show? How old are you man that you think The Rock is more important than Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman? 😂
Graham Norton was also the actor who played the loud and annoying priest in Father Ted who never stopped talking in that caravan scene. Apart from that performance (and he crops up again later in Father Ted), he’s only really known for his presenting and is now one of the biggest TV presenters in the UK.
He never stopped dancing in the caravan.
Father Noel Furlong ( I think ) Graham was brilliant in Farher Ted .
@@gr03m0nt indeed so.
I love Graham Norton. I have been watching his show from the beginning. He is hilarious and his guests are so much more relaxed than American talk shows.
Greg's story about being hungover always makes me cackle with laughter it's freaking hilarious
It’s the best show in the whole world, from start to finish. It’s awesome.
Patrick Stewart is great, I love him on extras!
I get there and I rescue them, but they're all women and they're naked because their clothes have rotted off.
That Greg Davies story is probably my favourite GN story ever. I love Ryan Gosling's reaction.
Have you watched the clip of Alison Hammond interviewing Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling when Bladerunner was released? Apparently HF is famously miserable during these junkers.
Quite possibly my favourite Alison Hammond interview ever.
ruclips.net/video/bAb8KIhgVAI/видео.html
It was funny watching you squirm when they were talking about circumcision. It's a big wide world out there mate. 😄
Graham Norton is a brilliant talk show host.
Yes we get him here in Australia too lol
✌️
Oh, come on, Joel didn't squirm. I think he was just nonplussed. I didn't quite get why it was supposed to be funny either, to be honest - the whole clip wasn't the best example of Graham Norton, at least in my opinion (for what that's worth, which admittedly isn't much).
@@paulcollins5423 think what you like. ..same as I did
Graham Norton gets all the stars because they love the laid-back atmosphere, and there's booze.
absolutely love graham his show is so relaxed and funny so many great guests
Watch Miriam Margolyes on Graham Norton. She will embarrass you.
David Heart: Yes I think she deliberately aims to shock and embarrass. She is entertaining but in very small doses!
Hilarious.OMG! They started you with Patrick Stewart circumcision question? LOLs
Interesting fact, Graham Norton was ‘discovered’ covering for Jack Docherty on ‘Not the Jack Docherty Show’ on channel 5 in the UK soon after the TV station started in 1997. He was that good he was immediately picked up by Channel 4 and given his own show while Jack Docherty faded into obscurity.
I think him and Jack were nominated for a TV award for the same show and Graham won. Jack is making a comeback now in Police mockumentary series, Scot Squad.
Graham Norton + Joan Collins + glove fetish.
Possibly my favourite TV clip of all time. PLEASE!
"Hugh Laurie On The Difficulty Of The American Accent" - should've just clicked on that at the end, it's only another minute and a half!
Friday night tv is the best, Gogglebox followed by the Graham Norton show, sets one up for the weekend 😀 Obviously the best Graham Norton show has to be any with Mariam Margolyes on it, she is hilarious 😂
I don't understand Gogglebox. Who would ever want to watch strangers react to a TV show?.. ... ...
@@rwlynch3468 and they all over exaggerate , it used to be good
And yet you watch RUclips reactors...🤔 I love watching Gogglebox, seeing their reactions and the hilarious comments they come out with....each to their own I suppose.
@@betagombar9022 I think my comment went over your head
I always hate falling on the sofa asleep during googlebox but then I usually wake up just before graham Norton.
Graham Norton has so many world class celebrities....the last one was Emilia Clarke - Game of Thornes, Teminator: Genisys and the Star Wars one she was referencing was "Solo:A Star Wars Story", but she's done a load of other movies as well. I think the tak woman sitting next to her was Phoebe Waller-Bridge, also from that Start Wars movie and a few other movies, most notable I guess the latest James Bond one, but sh'es also due to be in the next/last Indiana Jones movie.
solo is the only star wars i haven't seen got to get on that.the woman on emilia's left was gloria estfan she has a great story about chamging the lyrics to her songs making them into jingles
@@sarablack2547 as most of that clip was zoomed in on Emilia I hadn't noticed Gloria at the other end, thanks for pointing her out
@@neilfleming2787 that's ok.i don't know which ep it was but as I said Gloria as all of Graham's guest do had her funny story/trick that I told you about.
the GN show with Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Hugh Bonneville is still one of my favorites
Us Brits will start laughing before the punch line, we're good at predicting and/or guessing what is going to be said. We also just generally laugh along with the comedian as the joke is being told. Sometimes we will laugh at serious things or sentences but it's just our dark humour side
do you know thats funny and true, I never thought about it before.
Depends on the show. ISIHAC often gets laughs before the punchline.
You should watch Graham Norton "Battle of the Action Figures" it's hilarious.
I love his show, he doesn't just interview the stars, they converse with each other as well. The sofa is like an evening get together with different personalities and there is alcohol involved. It's always fun.
I watch Graham Norton show in Australia sometimes! Colourful characters, random questions and subjects! 😂👍 Hugh Jackman is always entertaining, I saw Rebel Wilson! The Rock is easy going! The Irish are always funny! It's difficult if your don't know the celebrity's! 🧐👍 (Robert de Niro is a great actor, but he didn't write the lines! 🤨)
I don't trust The Rock. He always had designs on politics. Any people that "want" to have power over others, can't be trusted. He can't even admit he takes roids. That's who Ricky Gervais (at the Golden Globes) was aiming the joke at "do we have an award for most ripped junkie? I think we all know who'd win that"
i don't know many celebrities but still find GNS to be hilarious. he usually sets things up well so you have enough information to get why things are funny even if you don't know much about the personalities in advance.
I look the Graham Norton Show from Italy.... and I love it. When we go look at certain american shows of the seventies, eighties and over there is also a lot of laughter which sounds too much.... but that is the business... people love to laugh 👍
They invariably aren’t concerned, as long as it works 😄👍
The reason his shows are so successful, apart from the format and his interview style, is because they give the guests alcohol and they all clearly enjoy the whole experience.
The last clip featured from left : Gloria Estefan ( Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound machine) , Emilia Clarke - telling the Bad Pitt story ( played Daenerys Targaryen - the Mother of Dragons in Game of Thrones and Qi'ra in SOLO: A Star Wars Story - as well as Sara Conner in Terminator Genisys) , next to her I think is Phoebe Waller-Bridge (also from SOLO: A Star Wars Story) and the gentleman on the right of the couch is David Tennant , who played the 10th incarnation of the Doctor in the BBC tv series Doctor Who. I hope that helps a bit.
All of the episodes with the Xmen cast are brilliant, James McIlvoy, High Jackman and Michael Fassbender together are great, they are like best mates or brothers the way they tease each other. Matt Damon and Mark Warburg ones are good too. You will know Owen Wilson that Tom Huddleston was imitating, he’s in a ton of movies.
That was a rather random collection of celebrity stories. I would recommend looking at more clips - maybe find one with several clips of someone whose work you are more familiar with- or watch a whole episode, so you get all the contexts.
The last guest Emilia Clarke is the mother of dragons from Game of Thrones! Fantastic actress
Poor Marion... four Irish and a Scot to contend with....and strong accents at that. 🤣
Is that The Rock? - Graham gets everyone on his show :)
I love the one with Jennifer Aniston and Graham had the audience rehearse something for her - I won't say what, as it will spoil your reaction if you do that one.
Oh no. Stuck down a Graham Norton rabbit hole now. 😂 Matt Damon best fun I ever had on a talk show compilation is fun.
I remember he started as a stand in for Jack Doherty s talk show, I remember being told the Graham Norton at some point didn't want to do his show any more so attempted to get fired by doing outrageous stuff, however it backfired and made him more popular and this is why it's a bit wacky and why he's a bit impertinent. Graham also used to do a late night sex education themed gameshow called carnal knowledge
The last girl is on Game of thrones ( mother of dragons) so she auction of to watch an episode with her
That "last girl" is Emilia Clarke who played one of the leads in a small show called Game of Thrones. She played Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons. 🔥🔥
Love that you've discovered Graham Norton. Too bad this compilation was your introduction to his fabulous show. The last two clips aren't great. You'd have had a better time watching the entire show with Bill Murray, Hugh Bonneville and Matt Damon. Or the one with Emma Thompson, Robbie Williams and Jimmy Carr. Or the one with Catherine Tate, David Walliams and Richard Ayoade. Or the one with Miriam Margolyes, will.i.am and Greg Davies. So many great episodes to choose from.
The first clip you featured with Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackson.
Try to watch the whole program because Sir Ian McKellen joins them, and he is hilarious. He is absolutely incorrigible. It is actually my favourite Graham Norton.
Love Graham norton show some of the best celeb interviews ever and everyone's been in it and their given alcohol so way more fun 🤣🤣
Graham Norton can talk about anything. His guests also drink while they are on the show. Can be very funny
The rowers both sound like Dougal and funnily enough Graham was in the latest "Father Ted" episode as the guy that shepherded the monkey priest 😂
This show had everyone on it, the cast of Game of thrones, will Smith, Denzel, Jamie Foxx, and he has a mix of celebs sitting on the same couch
Maybe look at some of the videos of Graham when he first started out as a chat show host - on the '4th' UK terrestrial TV channel Ch4 - he's come a long way since then (he was very risque back then) - the show was called SO Graham Norton
He's a bit of a 'National Treasure' now, having won the 'battle' with Jonathan Ross to be the UK's No 1 chat show host
We have another 'national treasure' you could look at - the Glastonbury Festival
It would be concert reviews (beyond Live Aid ...) and to celebrate US music, why not take a look at these two songs
They are from the 'Legends slot' which is on the last day (of the three) - the Sunday afternoon at 4pm. The crowds (100K) are as diverse as they could be in age etc. People come to have the best audience experience and as you'll see, the artists don't quite believe the reaction they get -

Hope you enjoy
I’ve been waiting to see this reaction. You’re going to fail at not laughing and I’m sure of it. Also, Miriam Margolyes reaction videos, please.
Joel and Miriam? Oh good lord!!! 😀
Yes !! Miriam will make anyone blush !! She is amazing
I bloody love Miriam!
@@margaretnicol3423 That’s why I mentioned it.
@@yew2533 I love your comment 😂
I enjoy your watching of Graham Norton clips. I love seeing your , shock/bewilderment/enjoyment. You have to lose your inhibitions to enjoy 🙂
The Rock and Kevin H have been on many times by the way. Graham has had the very best of the best guests. (I think he once said Brad Pitt hadn't been on.)
Greg Davies always have the best stories!😂
Miriam Margolyes and Robbie Williams were hilarious
I love watching graham Norton, and I'm in Oz so its hard to get but its awesome, my fav was Brendan o Carrol, Cheryl Cole, John Bishop and poor Don Johnson all those accents lol
Ooh, this will be good. Not got further than your intro yet, but "Try Not To Laugh" on this one? That in itself makes me laugh - I love that you have NO chance. None whatsoever. I hope your stomach didn't hurt too much afterwards! 🤣❤️❤️
Hi Joel have a look at some of the red chair at the end of the Graham Norton show Where he has people sit in it and tell a story it’s brilliant have a good day
The red chair. Brutal
They’re not laughing at the fact the kids are hearing impaired 🙄 They’re laughing because they can sort of see where it’s going - or at least they’re anticipating something cringeworthy.
Graham Norton is a comic genius. For those who don't know Jackson Pollack that Greg Davis talks about, here are a few of his paintings. It makes the story that much more hilarious if you.
He loads them up with Alcohol lol
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Irish accent!!!!!!!!!!!! 😍🥰
Oh Yes... Graham Norton part 2 needs to happen
You should check out his previous chat show 'So Graham Norton', he used to go a lot further with his humour.
Agreed,his original Ch.4 show,which his present popular BBC1 show is a pale imitation of!👌👍
@@MrSinclairn It is on BBC One, it couldn't do the kinds of things his other show did on that channel. Maybe BBC2. Also Graham has got older, perhaps his humour has changed a bit.
Miriam Margolyes compilation:
ruclips.net/video/7aBbbtCBWtw/видео.html
The audience laughed when he mentioned the hearing impaired kids because they KNOW Greg Davies is about to shock them!!
Watch more Graham Norton!!! He's the best. Great guests.
You don’t seem to get the British humour man LOL 😂
Graham Norton has been doing these TV shows in the UK since 1998 starting with Channel 4 in the UK.
Graham Norton is outstanding at building rapport with his guests. Watch the compilations when Tom Cruise is on.
Theyve got the Rock on here?"
He has everyone on there. Seriously, it's crazy
You did a partial shave!
Graham Norton is very funny.
You NEED to check out Miriam Margoles n Graham Norton.
Search YT for the episode where guests were Ryan Gosling, Bill Murray, Hugh Bonneville & music from Paloma Faith !!
Also Tom Cruise with Catherine Tate !!
Also Will Smith when they did the Prince if Bel Air dance !!
A lot of good episodes, most on YT.
Hi Joel. I love Graham Norton but these were not the best selection of clips. I get your comment about them being out of context, and consequently difficult to understand. Patrick Stewart story wasn’t that funny and Tom Huddleston went on for too long. That said, Graham Norton is one of the best interviewers around and a comedian in his own right. He also appeared in Fr Ted. Stick with him and don’t be put off by this first disappointing collection.
You need to react to Miriam Margolyes on his show, comedy gold
I love The Graham Norton show but most of this collection left me wondering what was going on.
Love how you tried to hide your embarrassment
Graham is THE best host.. I've watched all late night hosts in the US - ruuuuuubish! You need to watch other some other clips! Even American hosts have said that he has mastered it
Definitly react to the other parts as well. They are hilarious!
That was really fun Joel!! Great start to my day. John in Canada
Miriam Margoles.
