@Silent Auditor They are both amazing chefs and have also both done some really valuable charity and campaigning work. Both raised awareness of important issues. Both have worked to try to improve things for others.
Both have had businesses catastrophically fall over - when you're in business for that long, unfortunately it's the nature of the beast. Expanding that far, it's just too big for everything to go right all the time, and too big for one person to be responsible for. Both of them were also screwed over by people they should have been able to trust at times because again, business.
By all accounts I've heard, Gordon is one of the most fantastic people to work with, and is a really genuine person. Heard similar things about Jamie.

You're correct, Joel, to view the Graham Norton show as a good way to get a grasp of the British style of chat show. The maestro of such programmes, and the one on which Norton based his format, was Michael Parkinson. His list of interviewees incl: Mohammed Ali, Billy Connolly, Helen Mirren, Orson Wells, John Lennon, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Betty Davies, John Wayne, Meg Ryan, Woody Allen, and hundreds more between 1971 and 2007.

the dude making the drinks is a famous tv chef.. jamie oliver. famous british chef. he was known to me (in australia) on tv much earlier than gordon ramsay was. i think he may have started his whole tv chef career at a younger age than ramsay (oliver is 10 or so years younger). i think ramsay spent longer on his chef career with michelin star restuarants etc. oliver was known as "the naked chef" (the name of his show in the UK) and later went on to have some restaurant chains around the world which some went bankrupt. they weren't a "high-class" restaurant chain.. it was more aimed at cost-affordable food. he also did some stuff in the mid 2000s and the UK government where he tried to get schools to have healthier options for students. love your reactions as always!

Always nice to see. Would love to see a part 5. Watching this prompted my memory to commend to you for a reaction "You'll never walk alone", sung at the Grand Final of Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool. It was sung as part of the 'Liverpool songbook', in what is akin to the halftime show at the Super Bowl. I know you've heard the song before, but this rendition is particularly moving, in my opinion, not least because it involves an entire auditorium and is an image for European solidarity, with the vocals led by a Dutch man and visual reference to Ukraine. I don't actually watch Eurovision, but the video popped up as a recommendation of mine as I like the song and I found it to be heartwarming. There's a clip on RUclips of it.

Did you not know Jenna Coleman? She was in Victoria, which I thought someone might have suggested for Patreon, as well as in Dr Who.
Jamie was once the young an up and coming TV chef. He tried to get the government to do healthy school meals, but some said he was like a posh person preaching to poor people about food they couldn't afford. In food terms Marmite.
