I’ve realised that at this point there were probably a lot of signs that I should’ve noticed that I’m like agender (I think) earlier. I just thought that everyone thought that if they woke up in the opposite gender’s body (for me, if I woke up in a male body) they would be like “Oh, this is weird, let’s move on. I don’t really care” also, I’ve never really cared if I wore clothes that were labelled as male or female (unisėx stuff is great though). Also, personally I just don’t really care when it comes to appearance, I have long hair and seem to be a girl (I have b*obs that I often internally compare to a tattoo) but at the same time I feel more like a genderless blob that’s just kinda vibing?
    *The ‘b*obs’ ‘tattoo’ comparison:*
They serve no real purpose to me (I’m aroace) and I can’t just take them off if they’re annoying me. Either I can cover them up (like you can a tattoo) or some day get them removed (also, like you can a tattoo). Although, they don’t really bother me, they’re just kinda there.

thanks for sharing :) I've been interested to learn more about transgender/non binary/agender etc. people, their experiences because even though I'm cis gender I've had my struggles with this; first I struggled with if I was a boy or girl because I like lot of boyish stuff like fast cars, sports etc. then I found out about nonbinary existed and I thought of that as well but I've come to the realisation the reason why I struggled was down to the gender stereotypes that still exists today, and I can still be a woman and like 'manly' things, but I was thinking of talking about this more in depth on channel as well; wasn't sure if anyone was interested but then I saw your videos and thought, maybe I could do it some day

From hearing what you've said in the video i'm really starting to think that i might also experience dysphoria (for the exact same things you mentioned except for the being too thin part)....but i don't know what that makes me, i'm sure i'm bisexual, but in terms of gender it's like...
when i was a kid i didn't even think about it. i just know that sometimes i prefered looking a lot like a girl and sometimes to look very masculine with broad shoulders and having muscular arms, but i also know that most of the times it was neither of the two ...even now sometimes i look in the mirror being extremely comfortable and proud about looking like a grown woman with curves and the day after wishing i didn't have breasts and more muscular arms and smaller hips....this morning i was happy with having a more masculine face with a female body and idk it's just really confusing because i don't know if i'm just weird or in the closet and scared to be perceived as weird...also i usually Feel like a woman and the dysphoria thing only happens occasionally....i often dress more masculine when i'm feeling like this and it makes me Feel better but if someone has a clue about what it could be (just as a definition because i'm not the type to put myself in a box) it would be very helpfull for me to be able to put a Word on it...

Just discovering and figuring out that I am agender, and this video clicked with me alot. I've struggled for many years over my gender because I've never really felt I was either, especially during my time in the Army. I used to have issues with my triple d chest, not just dysphoria but also physical as well; weighted about 115 at the time. Thanks to the military I got a reduction. 100% happier and my shoulders/back no longer hurt. I'm also tiny framed and lack muscles, frustrating but doesn't mean we aren't strong still. But my point is, I am glad that there others and we are being seen as individuals rather then our genders.

What's the difference between agender and nonbinary

    • @rapidpeach
      @rapidpeach  4 года назад +3

Nonbinary can be anywhere on the spectrum of "having a gender" outside of the gender binary. Agender specifically means lacking a gender. So it's not nonbinary because nonbinary means that someone has a gender, where agender means someone has no gender at all.

Hiya! (: I definitely don't think 16 is too young to start figuring out your gender - but I will also say that your brain and the rest of your body are going through a lot of changes right now so it might take a while for you to get an answer. Even not considering changes in your body, there is also a social element. A lot of people are thinking about their genders right now, which could be leading you to think about your own further and might sway your gender identity in some way.
I definitely encourage you to think about your identity, though! It's never a bad thing to be more introspective and figure out who you are

I am agender. I have a bit of bottom dysphoria, but it's not super bad. I just want to be like a Barbie doll down there. Of course, I'm sex-repulsed asexual, so my bits are just an unpleasant inconvenience to my existence. I also have separate breast and chest dysphoria. I do not want the fat sacks that are currently on my chest, and they are a decent size, thus difficult to hide. I DO however wish my chest was broader. I also wish I had broader shoulders. I like the idea of slim waist, wide hips, broad chest, broad shoulders. I only have the slim waist and wide hips part of that. I do like my hip dips. It makes my hips look less soft and round. I wish my jaw were more prominent and my face was less soft shaped. I also have vocal dysphoria. I am trying to train it to be more masculine, but only sometimes. I want to be able to switch easily between masculine, feminine, and something inbetween depending on the situation, who I'm talking to, the mood, what I feel like, etc. I want my default to fall somewhere inbetween. I do not want to do hormones. I like what body hair I have, but I do not want more face hair than I currently have. I do wear binders, I have been working out to build muscle in my upper body, I train my voice, and I sometimes do makeup to emphasize the bone structure of my face. Wearing a mask helps. I do at least want top surgery some day.

    Hi Crashy,
Thanks for the demystifying video, because the only other agender person I know, doesn't live close and we haven't gotten around to talking about dysphoria. As I was watching, I'm guessing I must feel dysphoric about my hair, because I really don't want shorter hair, but oddly enough I've professed to my brother about wanting a buzz cut. Must be the 'I-want-to-experience-everything-even-though-it-is-not-possible'.
Since my teens I've been kind of envious of long hair and when I see a picture of my younger self I feel like I'm looking at another person.
I don't have any pets, but I'm very fond of my aunt and uncle's dogs. Except when they sniff around my crotch and ass, that's not quite the level I'm comfortable with. Turns I've been holding myself back, because puppies are fucking cute.
I'm kinda getting the whole idea of 'puppies-are-cute-let-us-scream'.
If anyone got this far, I'm pretty impressed, because I'd say you're pretty curious.

However, I rather be called by my nickname than anything else. I searched in the gender wiki, and this are the things that apply to me as an agender:
    1) Gender neutral
    2) I do not identify with the non-binary.
    3) I identify more as a person than any gender at all.
    4) Being entirely indifferent or unknowledgeable toward gender.
The most funny part is that I am also asexual. lol

I resently figured out that im agender. I hate to wear bras but sometimes i have to because my nipples are too pointy (that I dont like) Got feminine and masculine sides to the personality, but cant identify gender. Years I thought I was bisexual, but now I know I am pansexual agender. I dont care much about my body, well sometimes When the masculine side comes out I wished for a more masculine body, but then again with the feminin side it is opposite. This is so confusing many times.

Hmm, now that I think about it, I didn’t think that I have dysphoria, but I don’t like how low my voice is or the broad shoulders n’ stuff. Hmm.

I have that same dysphoria around my arms, I feel like my arms look way too skinny. I’m also really short and shorter than you, I’m actually 5’1” or around 53” tall.

My chest makes me feel uncomfortable so I always wear sports bras because when they move when I run it just i feel so uncomfortable in my body. And my hands and arms are so small and it’s distressing. And when I hear my voice in video I literally die. I just feel like I’m past gender like it doesn’t pertain to me. I don’t know. I feel ok with being called a girl I’m fine with being called whatever I just feel like I’m none of them. If that makes sense. I don’t know

I feel so stupid. I don't know what my gender is. I might be cis female,or I might be girfluix.
Oversimplified definition of girlfluix is I'm normally female, but sometimes I can be 0-50% enby (androgynous gender feeling) or anywhere from 0-99% agender.
However, I don't know what I'm feeling most of the time. Some days I'm like "yeah, definitely female" others I feel more agender and others I feel really agender... I think? Very rarely do I feel a little enby. I always like she/her pronouns, but sometimes they/them is pretty good, and very occasionally preferred over she/her, and even where she/her is prefered thye/them is still ok. That's important cause he/him make me think "NO" and other ones make me feel like "no" If I figure out I'm girlfluix, then I'd identify under the nonbinary woman umbrella rather then the nonbinary umbrella, cause I feel like I'm mostly in the binary.
I read about how gender dysphoria can feel like minor annoyances, not always just "NO".
So, I thought about it. And this sounds so stupid but I've always hated my face shape. To me, if there was a character in a TV show with my face shape, is a stupid guy who's supposed t be the comedic relief but his only jokes are "when can we get food?" and making annoying eating sounds during a serious moment. But the important part of that description is that it's a guy. If I used all the same things to describe a female or nonbinary character with the same personality, characteristics, and uselessness in the show, I don't think I'd care.
I've heard of trans people who disassociate with their face in a mirror because that's not what their brain says. I feel like that about most of my body.
Genderfluid people some days want a bigger chest and other days they want no chest. I have mixed feelings about my chest. Half the time "eh whatever, they exist" other days "oops, I forgot you were there, you're kinda in my way" but other times I feel like "why can't I hide them? why wont they just go away?" and I can't tell if that's because I'm terrified of anyone (mostly straight guys) oversexualizing me or because I don't want them.
So I looked up agender on RUclips and wanted to just look. I think I'm scared of imagining myself as (partly) agender because I feel like I think they should all have beanpole body types with cute floofy hair. In my mind, I kinda want tat floofy hairstyle, but when I remember my face shape I remember I look ugly in all hairstyles except "long in a loose ponytail" which is still not nice looking to me.
Seeing what you had to say made me feel better. So thank you. I didn't like the video because I like hearing about what makes you feel bad, I liked the video because you shared your experiences so I don't feel ostrichsized and alone.

I was just wondering, if it’s possible to be agender/non-binary but not feel dysphoria at least not physically because I don’t have a problem with my body but I don’t feel super uncomfortable wearing girly things or to be more specific dresses, and my voice also make me uncomfortable but not so much that I don’t want to talk but when I notice my voice I feel uncomfortable. I just wanted to know if that was dysphoria or not because it’s not strong, at least not all the time.

I feel like I have some dysphoria about my chest.. Like.. I don't feel like I can take a shower, take off my bra and not feel like... My breasts shouldn't be there, otherwise I don't really care. They're just there. I wanna get a binder soon so I can appear and feel more masculine because I look extremely feminine with my breasts

  • @melodyide367

I have dysphoria with my breasts too. Cup C is not nice, pms time is the worst, like you said. I actually looked up how much it would cost to remove them. But I cant be bothered to pay thousands for comfort, because most of the time I dont care about them. You cat is gorgeous. Mine is on my photo, we also have his twin brother, a dog, a chinchilla and chickens. Everyone apart from the chinchilla is ginger. I think your hair looks great. Shaved mine too a couple of weeks ago because it was becoming so damn hot.

I've been self conscious about my (singing) voice because it's way too soft and as a metalhead that frustrated me even more, although I've neve had any problem with me having breasts or a vagina I've never been attached to what's deemed femenine roles such as having to get pregnant and the whole idea of having a family, let alone a stay at home mum, but I don't identify as a man, and also regardless of having long hair and wearing makeup/ some "femenine clothes" I don't think those are inherently femenine because especially in the metal or goth scene you can find literally wearing those and also I don't want male pronouns but I don't mind neutral or female ones. It's really hard to explain

Yeah, so, I'm afab genderflux person, and rn I'm agender
Honestly, my dysphoria is at its worst when I'm around people who is cis or whatever because kekemdkek :')
    Social dysphoria sUCKS
When I'm alone, there's not AS much dysphoria, and I can typically vibe and ignore it by watching videos or drawing and hiding in my blanket or whatever lol
