Cape sometimes gets absurdly big randomly, would be lovely if keaton face looked a bit more like keaton less like arkham bruce but i love what youve done
The cape flapping wide open during various animations is intentional though, I went for a more "theatrical" style on that. I might revisit the keaton face at some point tbh, it does show that it was the second face I ever made (the asylum one being the first one, but i already gave that a small touchup not too long ago), although I feel like the hair is also a big factor there so i'll prolly try to work something out on that end first lol.
@@RRe36 thats absolutely fair, personal creative choices are what give a game it's character so I support that. I only mention it because at least to me it looked like the fabric of the cape grew more mass than it has, then immediately lost it - like a magic lengthening and shortening cape. I see that you're trying to blend the faces together so you can play the game feeling like the arkham character AND the actors kinda at the same time depending how you squint your eyes and I really like that idea since I felt like in order to keep immersion I had to keep the original suits on because some of the proportions in Knight were a little off. (Not significantly but obviously the devs took less time to make the DLC suits than the Story suits in Knight.)

Those are unused animations and I've kinda just winged the batclaw attack logic around that so that it's both distance and combo dependant, with him doing more of a sash-roll thing to the enemy rather than teleporting to them
@@RRe36 Okay... let me ask in ps5 logic here. So. R2 + (🔺️) is the grapple attack. When we do it in the arkham games, he does the iconic elbow move that we all know and love. But. With what YOU did? The one where he picks the dude up! Is that a random animation that you were able to place together, or do we have to press a button to achieve that now? For example... instead of ( 🟥 ), press (🔺️) and he picks up the dude. Now, for the one that causes batman to bum' rush a sucka like a bull which is at 6:29. You bassically confirmed that it's a random animation? If he's far, he'll roll towards the enemy and sometimes achieve that move. Or am i mistaken again? Do we have to press a button for that.
@@youngspecial64 at low combos it's random between the classic slam and the throw, at high combos it's that jump-slam where he does that sort of Salto when close, and when far it's the dash roll+ground slam
Keaton's 89, 92 and 2023 suits (black, not a fan of the blue Batman tbh) are just fire, such a beautiful design perfectly recreated in the game. The faces also look great, although imo the aged Keaton looks like someone put wrinkle makeup on the young man. By the way, if possible, it would be a great idea to have unique poses for these skins in Arkham Knight,for example Keaton's iconic pose at 4:07
Well I won't add new player characters anytime soon because converting and preparing all the animations is just a nightmare, I still haven't even finished batgirl lol
Hey there. Off topic question, can't find an answer. Importing the batman arkham asylum model into blender the eyes and mouth dont follow the animations and remain in their original position, deforming badly the mesh. Any tips on how to solve this

wow i didnt expect someone to make a game like this good job if this project is playable i would try it out but the cape is a bit glitchy I think if possible u should try fixing the capes animation or try making it more smooth and fluid it looks really good but i actually prefer this combat than arkham knight idk it just feels good
The Cape looks fine to me, it being much more responsive and dynamic is deliberate, along with a strong degree of art direction on the physics during most animations
I know that technically the proto-arkham suits would be before Bruce's identity is revealed, but would it be possible for you to release a mod of the unmasked version of the suits? I can't imagine putting in the work to make a new face model only to barely be fully seen. If not, that's fine. Your work, your decision. Either way, you did a phenomenal job.

The batman begins suit shouldve been in the game. I understand that TDK suit is more popular considering the movie its in but the begins suit is more appealing.
Oh man, that looks so much better than AK. I really don't like what they did to Bruce's face in that game. There's this really awesome remake being done of Megaman X. The game looks so good and performs so much better than the original that I asked why they wouldn't just make their own game. I never really got an answer. You've done some pretty amazing things with the Unreal engine and I understand why you would upgrade the Arkham games, but why not make your own super hero game?

The BvS suit is just a straight port from knight, havent done any noteworthy work on that and idk if i will even get around to that anytime soon.

Iirc there's already a way to load suits as unmasked without having to make extra versions though
