Tom - just got a Brave semi-trash pump, to do a couple things, inc watering protection around burn piles.
Honda GX160 5.5 hp 167cc engine, 147 GPM, 50 PSI, 2” male adapter, hose, and nozzle.
Will that be enough to send 50’ into trees or
What do I need to reduce to 1 1/2” ?
    Thanks
    Tom in Northern Wisconsin

I don’t know immediately off hand. Just remember your distance you can throw is governed by the velocity you create at the tip and how smooth that stream is. Velocity is a function of flow rate and cross sectional area. Q=VA. Q is essentially fixed (max) but can be reduced by back pressure on the hose due to bends and kinks, or elevation gain. So reducing A then increases V. So you could in theory reduce down to a 1/4” nozzle and kick water really far, if the stream will hold together, but it won’t be much volume that you’re putting out. Best I can tell you is to test before you actually need it. Figure out a couple different nozzle sizes you like for what you may need. Also make you’re nozzles 6-10” long. Larger area on the tip means a longer nozzle. Gives more time for the turbulent flow from your hose to become laminar flow before it flies out the end 😁
