I always hated Aang vs Ed as an episode, especially how Ed’s treated in the animation, but one thing sticks out to me as wasted potential. They mention in Ed’s analysis that he can boost his alchemic power by turning himself into a human Philosopher’s Stone. Then the fight happens and they do nothing with it. And that’s a shame since it could’ve drastically improved the finisher. You could have Ed turn himself into a Philosopher’s Stone, power through Aang’s attacks, and grab him by the head. Then Ed could do something similar to his fight with Pride where he forces his soul into Aang’s body to try and take him out that way, only to be confronted by the souls of the past Avatars. As Ed questions what the hell is going on, all of the spirits (save for Aang) use their respective elements against Ed, while Aang tries to get them to stop since he doesn’t want Ed to die. Instead, all of the spirits double down, with Ed responding in kind as he starts destroying several of the past Avatars by touching them. After a couple seconds of powering through them, the remaining Avatars use their respective elements to wear Ed down. As he’s pushed to his limit, the Avatars unleash an attack that severs Ed’s connection, forces him back into his body, and completely vaporizes him. After the attack kills Ed, Aang reverts to his base form and stares in shock and horror at Ed’s remains (if he has any left) before apologizing as he uses Earthbending to bury him.

My favorite part of Ben 10 vs Green Lantern is the part in Goomba vs Koopa DBX where the Goomba Shoe gets left in the time stream for Hal to "take inspiration from"
I really liked your take on Ben vs Hal, and I think the bit about people hating the verdict regardless of it's poor explanation is completely true. Does anyone remember Guts vs Nightmare? I think it's safe to say Guts is the more popular character, which is probably why that episode got almost no flak despite having some of the worst reasoning for a winner in the show. It's kinda the exact proof that people only get mad at Death Battle when the preferred character loses, because right there you have the terrible logic that they say Death Battle always uses, yet nobody feels the need to call out that episode since the cool guy won. On a different note, glad I'm not the only one who really liked Green Lantern's voice. I could totally see him as his VA in official DC media.
Another good example is Lex Vs Tony. The concensus, at least at the time, was that Lex shitstomps. Not only that, but they gave Tony so much shit to work with while Lex just had his Injustice moveset. Nobody cares tho, since the fight is one of the best Death Battle has ever had and everyone likes it when the hero beats the villain.
I used to heavily disagree on Ben vs Hal up until a year ago. The episode has a lot of high points but also some low points that drag it down, especially the missed potential.
I don't think the reasoning for Guts winning is actually *bad*, but it's presented in the laziest way possible that makes the argument sound a whole lot dumber than it really is. The argument is effectively that while Nightmare *has* a ton of advantages against Guts on paper, those advantages are ones Guts has run up *repeatedly* against in the past - and won against every single time. So while Guts wouldn't directly surpass Nightmare's feats, Nightmare fails to give an argument that he successfully scales to characters Guts has *already beat.* It's very Guts-centric for its reasoning, but if they presented the feats shown by enemies Guts has killed and how they surpassed what Nightmare was capable of, the argument wouldn't have nearly as much flak nowadays as it does.
Tbh I use to hate the outcome of Ben 10 vs green lantern….still tho I kidda helped me watch them the battles form a new prospective.and that’s to turn your brain off,watch the light show,and for god sake DONT think about the outcome
I will forever hold mob vs tatsumaki deep in my heart because as I was waiting for ganon vs dracula to drop, me and one of my friends (who is a huge db fan and vs debater) discussed about the idea, and you will not believe how hyped I was and how hard I burst out laughing when I saw that it was next up.
Really glad to see more people appreciating BW vs WW and DP vs Mask, it sucks how underappreciated they are. Also we have the same number 1 and this is most pleasing indeed. I realize I'm a simple man when it comes to toilet humor (Captain Underpants is my favorite DreamWorks movie), but I still find Wario vs Dedede a 10/10 experience even after I've started to get more strict with my perfect scores recently. I had no idea about the Nostalgia Critic thing, and I am currently seething that I never realized before. Currently sending you my energy for that final stretch. You can do it!
As someone whose first most requested death battle was Bowser vs Ganon back in the show's infancy, and being disappointed by that. I was so happy when Ganondorf vs Dracula came out. Easily one of my favorite Death Battles on the show. Zelda is one of my favorite game series outside of Sonic so it getting an episode that good made me so happy on release.
Mob vs Tatsumaki got me into two of my favorite anime ever, especially MP100, so on that basis I cannot dislike the episode personally Thankfully everything is such a banger that it elevates the whole thing to true greatness. One of the best 2D episodes free
Dark Lords is my favorite usage of background music in the show. I adore how it gets spookier and more high-pitched with those howls when Dracula is in control, and while Ganondorf is winning the fight the lower, heavy instruments come into focus. In particular, I love when the latter style is blasting while Ganon lays the beatdown on beast Dracula, and then the howls come back in full force as soon as Dracula activates Magiddo and the fight flips on its head. The music is also what elevates both transformation scenes into best of the best, imo.
Interesting ranking, kinda shows Season 6 is actually so well rounded that many people rankings tend to vary with not too many trends... well aside Ed vs Aang being usually in the bottom. Personally I think All Might vs Might Guy is my favorite, but you sir still have excellent taste.
Aside from Aang vs Edward, Captain Marvel vs Shazam and Aquaman vs Namor the rest of the episodes has been so consistently good that you can rank them using a random number generator and still come up with good reasons for their placements.
Yeah this was a great season, massive improvement over last time with only one real dud. Glad to see Black Widow vs Widowmaker get some spotlight as well, since it's a really creative chase setting that hasn't really been done again since even with its issues. Dark Lords was such a phenomenal track for Drac vs Ganon So much that it was actually my most listened to song from Brandon Yates this year 👀 With it being my 2nd most listened to song overall.
I went back to the megaman battle royale recently after getting really into megaman again during its 35th anniversary year, and learning more about all the different game versions of himself. I have a greater appreciation for basically everything megaman now and its tragic, yet inspiring, generational tale (even if not all the games present their stories very well). So coming back to the death battle just had me smiling the whole way that they showed respect to the franchise the best they could. It obviously wasn't perfect (how could it be with how much meterial each individual megaman has on their own regardingboth theirs arsenal AND stories), but I think I enjoy the episode as a whole a lot more now because of how much more I learned of the franchise lately.
It's always nice when some of your favorite series get amazing representation in Death Battle that makes you proud to be a fan of said series. As a fan of Fullmetal Alchemist and Soul Calibur, I just wish I could experience that joy.
Ganondorf vs Dracula is probably my favorite of the season, probably my favorite Zelda fight too. My only issue is that they say Ganon’s sword is the only weapon he has that could kill Dracula, since it’s holy in nature. Not even addressing that all of Ganon’s magic is powered by a literal fragment of a goddess’ power. Just something that still irks me
Dedede is my all time favorite character which absolutely is what carries it to a 10/10 for me, but I understand that to other people it probably isn't as good
Kiryu vs Dragonzord is honestly a lot of fun, despite the death being… ok, I actually really liked the death. Honestly, it’s in my top 5 because 1. My bias for Kiryu, and 2. The fact I find the whole thing fun

I was aware of your opinion of 'As one of the like 5 people on the planet who really loves WidowWidow', but I didn't think of 9/10 worthy. Though you do make a fair point of it being really good. Here's something you didn't point out on WidowWidow but in the Weiss VS Mitsuru review in Blake VS Mikasa, bring up two female characters, and no horny Boomstick. In fact, with the former I expected 'that's kinda hot' with Natasha's willpower. Instead we got 'I think I'm gonna throw up.' (I know there was one earlier, but you know) Also, on the subject of Smash. We only two voice actors who appeared in that franchise who voiced in episodes DEATH BATTLE!, but each of the performances were great. Lion-O, RoboCop, Wolverine, and Agumon were all voiced by Xander Mobus (Smash Announcer, Master Hand, Crazy Hand, and Joker) and Jeannie Tirado was Widowmaker (F!Byleth).

This is my favorite season of the show. So many episodes here are among my favorites of all time like Ganondorf vs Dracula, Ben vs Hal, Dragonzord vs Mechagodzilla, Mega Man Battle Royale, Mob vs Tatsumaki, Might squared and so on
I was personally amazed by how much I loved Black Widow Vs Widowmaker myself. I find Black Widow herself boring as all hell, but they gave her not one, but two of the most badass lines in the show.
One other small detriment about Weiss vs Mitsuru--they mispronounced a LOT in Mitsuru's analysis. I know some of these Persona names can be hard on paper, but the game says them at you like, every time you use them, so you should know how to say even the most complex-looking names by the end. The research staff should have included a pronunciation guide for the cast.

I totally forgot about most of these fights ever happening lol. I'd say there's a considerable gap between top 4 and everything else. Mega man battle royale is number 1 for me, one of my all time favs. I'd push tatsumaki vs mob a bit lower and dragonzord vs mechagodzilla higher. To me, the fight between skyscraper-sized mechs felt more fluid and faster-paced than the fight between two world-class assassins (Widow^2).
All Might vs Might Guy is still up there in my top 3 episodes of all time and overall my favorite in terms of character dynamics. Never before, and never really since, have we gotten as heartwarming and genuinely inspiring a battle and back and forth as we have with these two. I think TVtropes put it best where they say that with basically every other DB there's some sort of inherent dissoanance in the set-up or something that has yopu feel like you can believe the two heroic characters might kill each other but here's it's just a pure-hearted friendship-bout that goes beyond (ha). And of course there's Mighty. Brandon and Therewolf have yet to make a track that surpasses it in my mind (at least in offficial Death Battles, several of Brandon's commissioned ones do manage to fight this for my favorite piece of his), at least until Dragon Dance from this season's finale. (Though more on that when you eventually cover it.)
16. I still don't really care for either series, but I heard the characterization was pretty ass from both ends (from a friend of mine who's not a VS guy and is a fan of both series). 15. I personally like this one a lot. I also remember how even though people generally disagree on the match, most of them were fine with it because a lot of them don't like Sasuke, lmao. 14. *'Image of a guy sleeping.'* 13. Perfectly average episode. 12. I liked this one a lot, even though I distinctly remember a lot of people being toxic and salty that Ghost Ride wasn't fighting Spawn. 11. This one is actually one of my personal favorites of the season, and that is COMPLETELY due to the fact that it's a BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle themed episode. 10. This one is one of the most fun to rewatch, and a lot of my mecha friends (that aren't VS folks) love it. RIP, Jason David Frank. 9. I know a lot of people like this one, but I'm gonna say it now... I just never understood the love for it. I rewatched it a few times, but it just never clicked with me. 8. I mean... it exists? It does do a lot of fun stuff, but eh. 7. Oh look it's the funny. Eh, it's alright, but I really wish they used more aliens for Ben instead of 5/6 being from the Original Series (the fact they cut out a Rath scene is absurd). 6. This is one of those episodes you didn't expect to be as awesome as it was, but it exceeded tons of expectations. It's great. 5. This is one I feel doesn't get the recognition it really deserves. I think it does a fantastic job at using the environment to its advantage (and I love that shit), and gives us a very beautifully choreographed fight. 4. I remember one of my friends was losing their mind over this one, because he's a huge Star Force fan, and thought that of the 5 series, Star Force would never be on the show. Even with that aside, I really do like this one. 3. The absolute GOAT of an episode. I love this one. 2. This one personally isn't as high up for me compared to others, but I still like it. 1. Yeah, that was an obvious pick, but unsurprising. It's a phenomenal episode.

I always hated Ed vs Aang as both a fan of Avatar and ESPECIALLY Fullmetal Alchemist. I hate how both characters are portrayed. What sucks is that Ed's chances being in another Death Battle are slim to none since they already used Tanjiro and Josuke isn't a well requested character from his series. Hoping that next time when Fullmetal Alchemist gets used again, they'll treat the character with more respect.

In the sense that: He could easily just turn into this “unbearable God” with the solution to almost ANY situation Ben Is ever in. The reason he doesn’t always just go full X is because he knows he can, but doesn’t choose to use that level of god like power that was gifted to him unless it’s deemed absolutely necessary. Because he knows he needs to represent every species he turns into and sees all his transformations as a part of himself and the alien species as a whole. He knows that the Celeistal Sapiens don’t get involved unless the universe requests his level of power for the situation at hand. Which is why he doesn’t just try to rip over everyone like a god and only uses X when he absolutely has to. And whenever he does, he never does anything more then the situation calls for. He doesn’t need all of those power, and he knows it’s not him place to miss use it. In the same way it’s like how Super man chooses to help and protect everyone instead of: Overly ruling them like a GOD Or why Goku always chooses to fight people at their strongest… Dude even gave Cell a Sensu Bean This is what makes X so special. It adds so much to Ben as a character and person
No I get the point of Alien X. I just think it makes Ben incredibly lame in Vs since Alien X is the only one of his aliens on that cosmic scale, so the discussion only ever revolves around him and not any of the cast of iconic ones.

Aang killing Edward doesn’t bother me because he’s in the Avatar when it happens and you can easily chalk that up to him being under the influence of the other Avatars, a lot of whom have been shown to not have nearly as much of a problem with killing
That’s not a thing that always happens though. In his fight with Ozai he still consciously chose to not kill him with his own lighting. When Kyoshi took over for her own trial there was at least a visual tell to show that it was her. And considering DB themselves never brought this up in the analysis, I’m inclined to think it’s not what they intended.

It's a bit weird that you placed Weiss vs Mitsuru above Ghost Rider vs Lobo, when you spent more time talking about it's low point giving the impression that they were more default in this episode than in the previous one.
Ghost Rider vs Lobo didn't have especially much to talk about with its flaws, it's good but outside of the death and Zarathos' voice performance there isn't too much that stands out. Weiss vs Mitsuru's problems are much more noticeable, but it also has a lot more standout stuff like the better track and far more fun and interesting analysis. The gap between them isn't much though, I like them both.
The very next line after that is me saying I already know the emotion is rage. My point there is that if they actually showed the word onscreen like what the anime does, that could've elevated the scene even higher.

I still really, really regret how I acted as a part of THAT crowd when Ben 10 vs. Green Lantern first came out. It's still an episode I don't really like, but I can at least these days see that it does a lot genuinely well. Ganon vs. Dracula, All Might vs. Might Guy, and Captain Falcon vs. Johnny Cage are all among my favorites of all time though. Season 6 is a genuinely incredible season, nothing else the series had ever done even held a candle to it until 8 and 9 were finally able to give it a run for its money. Even then, I really struggle to pick a favorite between the three, they're all so good.

I always hated Aang vs Ed as an episode, especially how Ed’s treated in the animation, but one thing sticks out to me as wasted potential. They mention in Ed’s analysis that he can boost his alchemic power by turning himself into a human Philosopher’s Stone. Then the fight happens and they do nothing with it. And that’s a shame since it could’ve drastically improved the finisher.
You could have Ed turn himself into a Philosopher’s Stone, power through Aang’s attacks, and grab him by the head. Then Ed could do something similar to his fight with Pride where he forces his soul into Aang’s body to try and take him out that way, only to be confronted by the souls of the past Avatars.
As Ed questions what the hell is going on, all of the spirits (save for Aang) use their respective elements against Ed, while Aang tries to get them to stop since he doesn’t want Ed to die. Instead, all of the spirits double down, with Ed responding in kind as he starts destroying several of the past Avatars by touching them. After a couple seconds of powering through them, the remaining Avatars use their respective elements to wear Ed down. As he’s pushed to his limit, the Avatars unleash an attack that severs Ed’s connection, forces him back into his body, and completely vaporizes him.
After the attack kills Ed, Aang reverts to his base form and stares in shock and horror at Ed’s remains (if he has any left) before apologizing as he uses Earthbending to bury him.

I really liked your take on Ben vs Hal, and I think the bit about people hating the verdict regardless of it's poor explanation is completely true. Does anyone remember Guts vs Nightmare? I think it's safe to say Guts is the more popular character, which is probably why that episode got almost no flak despite having some of the worst reasoning for a winner in the show. It's kinda the exact proof that people only get mad at Death Battle when the preferred character loses, because right there you have the terrible logic that they say Death Battle always uses, yet nobody feels the need to call out that episode since the cool guy won.
On a different note, glad I'm not the only one who really liked Green Lantern's voice. I could totally see him as his VA in official DC media.
Another good example is Lex Vs Tony. The concensus, at least at the time, was that Lex shitstomps. Not only that, but they gave Tony so much shit to work with while Lex just had his Injustice moveset. Nobody cares tho, since the fight is one of the best Death Battle has ever had and everyone likes it when the hero beats the villain.

I used to heavily disagree on Ben vs Hal up until a year ago. The episode has a lot of high points but also some low points that drag it down, especially the missed potential.
I don't think the reasoning for Guts winning is actually *bad*, but it's presented in the laziest way possible that makes the argument sound a whole lot dumber than it really is.
The argument is effectively that while Nightmare *has* a ton of advantages against Guts on paper, those advantages are ones Guts has run up *repeatedly* against in the past - and won against every single time. So while Guts wouldn't directly surpass Nightmare's feats, Nightmare fails to give an argument that he successfully scales to characters Guts has *already beat.*
It's very Guts-centric for its reasoning, but if they presented the feats shown by enemies Guts has killed and how they surpassed what Nightmare was capable of, the argument wouldn't have nearly as much flak nowadays as it does.

I will forever hold mob vs tatsumaki deep in my heart because as I was waiting for ganon vs dracula to drop, me and one of my friends (who is a huge db fan and vs debater) discussed about the idea, and you will not believe how hyped I was and how hard I burst out laughing when I saw that it was next up.
Really glad to see more people appreciating BW vs WW and DP vs Mask, it sucks how underappreciated they are. Also we have the same number 1 and this is most pleasing indeed.

As someone whose first most requested death battle was Bowser vs Ganon back in the show's infancy, and being disappointed by that. I was so happy when Ganondorf vs Dracula came out. Easily one of my favorite Death Battles on the show. Zelda is one of my favorite game series outside of Sonic so it getting an episode that good made me so happy on release.
Mob vs Tatsumaki got me into two of my favorite anime ever, especially MP100, so on that basis I cannot dislike the episode personally
Thankfully everything is such a banger that it elevates the whole thing to true greatness. One of the best 2D episodes free
Dark Lords is my favorite usage of background music in the show. I adore how it gets spookier and more high-pitched with those howls when Dracula is in control, and while Ganondorf is winning the fight the lower, heavy instruments come into focus. In particular, I love when the latter style is blasting while Ganon lays the beatdown on beast Dracula, and then the howls come back in full force as soon as Dracula activates Magiddo and the fight flips on its head.
The music is also what elevates both transformation scenes into best of the best, imo.

Interesting ranking, kinda shows Season 6 is actually so well rounded that many people rankings tend to vary with not too many trends... well aside Ed vs Aang being usually in the bottom. Personally I think All Might vs Might Guy is my favorite, but you sir still have excellent taste.
Aside from Aang vs Edward, Captain Marvel vs Shazam and Aquaman vs Namor the rest of the episodes has been so consistently good that you can rank them using a random number generator and still come up with good reasons for their placements.
Yeah this was a great season, massive improvement over last time with only one real dud. Glad to see Black Widow vs Widowmaker get some spotlight as well, since it's a really creative chase setting that hasn't really been done again since even with its issues. Congrats on getting all these rankings done mate, can't imagine how long it must have taken.

I went back to the megaman battle royale recently after getting really into megaman again during its 35th anniversary year, and learning more about all the different game versions of himself. I have a greater appreciation for basically everything megaman now and its tragic, yet inspiring, generational tale (even if not all the games present their stories very well). So coming back to the death battle just had me smiling the whole way that they showed respect to the franchise the best they could. It obviously wasn't perfect (how could it be with how much meterial each individual megaman has on their own regardingboth theirs arsenal AND stories), but I think I enjoy the episode as a whole a lot more now because of how much more I learned of the franchise lately.
It's always nice when some of your favorite series get amazing representation in Death Battle that makes you proud to be a fan of said series.
As a fan of Fullmetal Alchemist and Soul Calibur, I just wish I could experience that joy.
Ganondorf vs Dracula is probably my favorite of the season, probably my favorite Zelda fight too. My only issue is that they say Ganon’s sword is the only weapon he has that could kill Dracula, since it’s holy in nature. Not even addressing that all of Ganon’s magic is powered by a literal fragment of a goddess’ power.

I was aware of your opinion of 'As one of the like 5 people on the planet who really loves WidowWidow', but I didn't think of 9/10 worthy. Though you do make a fair point of it being really good.
Here's something you didn't point out on WidowWidow but in the Weiss VS Mitsuru review in Blake VS Mikasa, bring up two female characters, and no horny Boomstick. In fact, with the former I expected 'that's kinda hot' with Natasha's willpower. Instead we got 'I think I'm gonna throw up.' (I know there was one earlier, but you know)
Also, on the subject of Smash. We only two voice actors who appeared in that franchise who voiced in episodes DEATH BATTLE!, but each of the performances were great. Lion-O, RoboCop, Wolverine, and Agumon were all voiced by Xander Mobus (Smash Announcer, Master Hand, Crazy Hand, and Joker) and Jeannie Tirado was Widowmaker (F!Byleth).

This is my favorite season of the show. So many episodes here are among my favorites of all time like Ganondorf vs Dracula, Ben vs Hal, Dragonzord vs Mechagodzilla, Mega Man Battle Royale, Mob vs Tatsumaki, Might squared and so on
I was personally amazed by how much I loved Black Widow Vs Widowmaker myself. I find Black Widow herself boring as all hell, but they gave her not one, but two of the most badass lines in the show.
Finally someone gives Black Widow vs Widowmaker some respect. The episode is really underrated.
One other small detriment about Weiss vs Mitsuru--they mispronounced a LOT in Mitsuru's analysis. I know some of these Persona names can be hard on paper, but the game says them at you like, every time you use them, so you should know how to say even the most complex-looking names by the end. The research staff should have included a pronunciation guide for the cast.

I totally forgot about most of these fights ever happening lol. I'd say there's a considerable gap between top 4 and everything else. Mega man battle royale is number 1 for me, one of my all time favs. I'd push tatsumaki vs mob a bit lower and dragonzord vs mechagodzilla higher. To me, the fight between skyscraper-sized mechs felt more fluid and faster-paced than the fight between two world-class assassins (Widow^2).
All Might vs Might Guy is still up there in my top 3 episodes of all time and overall my favorite in terms of character dynamics. Never before, and never really since, have we gotten as heartwarming and genuinely inspiring a battle and back and forth as we have with these two. I think TVtropes put it best where they say that with basically every other DB there's some sort of inherent dissoanance in the set-up or something that has yopu feel like you can believe the two heroic characters might kill each other but here's it's just a pure-hearted friendship-bout that goes beyond (ha). And of course there's Mighty. Brandon and Therewolf have yet to make a track that surpasses it in my mind (at least in offficial Death Battles, several of Brandon's commissioned ones do manage to fight this for my favorite piece of his), at least until Dragon Dance from this season's finale. (Though more on that when you eventually cover it.)

4. I remember one of my friends was losing their mind over this one, because he's a huge Star Force fan, and thought that of the 5 series, Star Force would never be on the show. Even with that aside, I really do like this one.

I always hated Ed vs Aang as both a fan of Avatar and ESPECIALLY Fullmetal Alchemist. I hate how both characters are portrayed.
What sucks is that Ed's chances being in another Death Battle are slim to none since they already used Tanjiro and Josuke isn't a well requested character from his series.
Hoping that next time when Fullmetal Alchemist gets used again, they'll treat the character with more respect.

I do consider carnage vs lucy to ironically be the best “spooky” episode of the series because it genuinely made me feel some sense of horror and it wasn’t even released on Halloween.
But that said out of all the ACTUAL Halloween episodes ever made (and even yes I do find it objectively better overall as an episode than Carnage vs Lucy) Ganon vs Dracula to this day still reigns KING

I think I agree with your take on Ben vs Hal, though I just keep thinking of how one member of Death Battle, honestly forgot which, said how they wanted to use Ben ONLY if they weren’t limited to his original 10 aliens…it makes me realize they only said that since they wanted to use Alien X which is an extremely disappointing choice to be the only non OG alien. Also no Rath is absolutely insane for a Ben 10 match

27:51 Well I do see what you mean but… That’s the point. See Alien X just makes everything that Ben does just mean so much more. In the sense that: He could easily just turn into this “unbearable God” with the solution to almost ANY situation Ben Is ever in. The reason he doesn’t always just go full X is because he knows he can, but doesn’t choose to use that level of god like power that was gifted to him unless it’s deemed absolutely necessary. Because he knows he needs to represent every species he turns into and sees all his transformations as a part of himself and the alien species as a whole. He knows that the Celeistal Sapiens don’t get involved unless the universe requests his level of power for the situation at hand.
Which is why he doesn’t just try to rip over everyone like a god and only uses X when he absolutely has to. And whenever he does, he never does anything more then the situation calls for.
He doesn’t need all of those power, and he knows it’s not him place to miss use it.
In the same way it’s like how Super man chooses to help and protect everyone instead of: Overly ruling them like a GOD
Or why Goku always chooses to fight people at their strongest… Dude even gave Cell a Sensu Bean
This is what makes X so special. It adds so much to Ben as a character and person
No I get the point of Alien X. I just think it makes Ben incredibly lame in Vs since Alien X is the only one of his aliens on that cosmic scale, so the discussion only ever revolves around him and not any of the cast of iconic ones.

They didn’t have a choice, because Teenage Ben sprits didn’t exist at the time and they couldn’t just make their own costume sprits for him so they were forced to use Kid Ben sprits even though they didn’t want to… It wasn’t a choice, It was a forced situation. But thankfully it got resolved a year later for the Ben VS Danny DBX

As they said on the Leo VS Jason Q&A video when someone suggested they should make their fights longer with more of a set up and show off more of the characters abilities. Their response was and I quote: Could you please give a lot more money… Cause like these are not cheap to make, they’re expensive as shit.
I’m well aware of budget and time restrictions. I’m glad that was put into the fight over the setup. That doesn’t make the setup not barebones and lame. It’s not a huge issue by any means because the rest of the episode is phenomenal. That still doesn’t make the setup good.

Aang killing Edward doesn’t bother me because he’s in the Avatar when it happens and you can easily chalk that up to him being under the influence of the other Avatars, a lot of whom have been shown to not have nearly as much of a problem with killing
That’s not a thing that always happens though. In his fight with Ozai he still consciously chose to not kill him with his own lighting. When Kyoshi took over for her own trial there was at least a visual tell to show that it was her. And considering DB themselves never brought this up in the analysis, I’m inclined to think it’s not what they intended.

Otherwise we can aim the exact same complaint on Batman, who also don't kill, not even the Joker.

It's a bit weird that you placed Weiss vs Mitsuru above Ghost Rider vs Lobo, when you spent more time talking about it's low point giving the impression that they were more default in this episode than in the previous one.
Ghost Rider vs Lobo didn't have especially much to talk about with its flaws, it's good but outside of the death and Zarathos' voice performance there isn't too much that stands out. Weiss vs Mitsuru's problems are much more noticeable, but it also has a lot more standout stuff like the better track and far more fun and interesting analysis. The gap between them isn't much though, I like them both.

I still really, really regret how I acted as a part of THAT crowd when Ben 10 vs. Green Lantern first came out. It's still an episode I don't really like, but I can at least these days see that it does a lot genuinely well.
Ganon vs. Dracula, All Might vs. Might Guy, and Captain Falcon vs. Johnny Cage are all among my favorites of all time though. Season 6 is a genuinely incredible season, nothing else the series had ever done even held a candle to it until 8 and 9 were finally able to give it a run for its money. Even then, I really struggle to pick a favorite between the three, they're all so good.
When Ghost rider kill lobo , in the background you can see the faces Of Giygas from earthbound , cool reference
