I think this sums up the new player experience in league of legends pretty well.

I mean... League never was new player frendly abd it never will be so purely because of community.
I played WW custom maps as a new player. That's a small community that helps you all along the way. Even if you mess up they clown on you and there's no such thing as harrasment at all.
Imagine being like this in League. Imagine dieing to zed shadow purely because you don't know what it does and how it works (true story then I was new to League). You would have your @$$ inverted for that
I think the main problem is that they start new players at the average elo which is still way higher skill than I think you can reasonably expect any actual new player to be at.

Tried it for the first time last week. Damn is it a terrible experience. Everything about this was true. The launcher alone had me screaming at the air. The controls are horrible. But my new friends from WoW play so I guess I play now too.

and the funniest part is, majority of the league community, still acts and plays like this with ten years of experience.
Thats becouse the majority of ppl especially plat and below play the game as if it was a single player game. There may be 5 ppl on there team but if they cant faceroll a 1v3 fight the match is already lost to them. If ppl just started to shift there focus to not lossing the early game instead of trying to hard carry from min 2 they would have a better time. I´m no pro not even close but i have watched enough pro games to know that there is a reson why they dont go full force directly out of spawn. Its better to play for not lossing the laning phase instead of trying to win it. The harder ppl try to win the game from min 2 the more mistakes they are gonna make.

After 10 years of playing League nearly daily I can confidently say I am now 9 months with only a single game in that time. It was more of a group thing as most buddies have gradually stopped playing and my fave mode is flex 5 stack and then... solo duo. Honestly, the amount of free time one lost and the unhapiness/tilt this game brought into ones life is insane, one really feels the difference. 9 months League free, you guys can do it too!

"Fun" story, it took me over thirty consecutive losses when I first started doing ranked to get to a rank where I _sometimes_ stand a chance.
For a person heading in to try and play, experiencing 15 hours of getting ran over and teammates calling you poopoo - was definitely a great intro.

I deleted my main account today, Uninstalled that client and blocked it. I start playing games like NMS and Rimworld from now on, aswell as joining a few friends in games like chivalry 2 and lethal company and so on, just having fun and taking a break (hopefully forever) from this bitcoin miner, that is called League of Legends.

Ranked League is like walking a gauntlet of five people, 4 of them are going to trample your balls to bleeding, the other one will give the most mid head ever. Once you find the mid head giver, the 5 cycle out for 5 new ones and you get to find out which is which all over again. The kicker is often all 5 are there to trample your balls.

After the first game of winning LOL choice to give what is called a skill check
For awhile the very first game of placements a new account was tossed into was Emerald MMR. It was part of what led climbs from zero slowing to a crawl in there. The stuff that sometimes happened in Emerald was just pure chaos. There'd be players that legit never played League once and honestly didn't understand QWER or basic movement at all in those lobbies. Riot figured Emerald was the 50/50 over/under for the player base and decided to weed out the New vs Returning vs Smurf players in the very first game. If you didn't take it seriously and just accepted Emerald was ELO Hell... it was sometimes glorious.

P: after using an ability your next Attack will Cut infront of you, dealing Physical damage, hitting with the sharp end of the scythe, deals additional magic damage.
enganging combat with an enemy grants kayn additional physical damage on his attacks.
E: Original: kayn can only pass through a wall 2 times before ending.(being cc'd cancels the ability)
Shadow A.: Grants an additional wall pass, increases duration outside of the wall and lowers the cooldown.(gain slow resist)
The bigger deal is his Q dealing ridicolus damage with little effort, now with the extra bit his power can be ditrubudet into other areas so he has to think before attacking resulting in him being put at risk.
The e one was just to well get him to actually risk using it.
