Traded in my z fold 3 for this phone. So excited to be back with Motorola phones. Their batteries are the best!
This phone has been a beast since I have owned it and I honestly can't see a anything out their competing with this at especially price to performance. 👍🏾👍🏾
Great review sir. I just picked up three of these on the Motorola website at $359 per. Still less money than a one Samsung s23 ultra.
Now that's what i like to hear, I picked up a 2nd one also just because of the price, but at $359 wow, great pick up. This has to be my favorite and honestly the best buy for phones this year in my opinion for phones.
No doubt .. this has to set the all-time record for "most bang for the buck" phone 😎
Getting one next week. I have a Pixel 8 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Pro but i have a feeling this will become my everyday phone for work and such when im not in need of a versatile camera. Seems like an awesome phone.
That is awesome, that is basically what mine is, and everyday phone, I have an s23 Ultra and Nubia Z50s pro and pixel fold that I usually use for my camera footage on my videos mainly for certain features, but this cameras on the thinkphone will surprise you including the features even the front facing camera can shoot at 4k30...👍🏾👍🏾
This phone even has Google screening calls feature natively! Is a beast!
This phone is great. I use it daily, if you can't find a screen protector for it, the closest screen protector that I find that works well with it are from the S23 plus.

Moto is underrated. It seems like Google gets all the push here on RUclips.
That's ok, Moto will get plenty of action from me especially since I use them a lot.
Moto is highly appreciated by a lot of people BUT Motorola tends to lack in the software and security updates (at least for their budget to midrange devices) which I think is what keeps them from being a better choice when it comes to selections.
2 month ago I returned a Google Pixel 8 Pro to my carrier to get the ThinkPhone bought directly on Motorola Amazon Store for 399$ I love it . The deal does exist in Canada as well . Different prices overall but in proportion to the dollar exchange Canada vs US. I love it !!
That's awesome, I still can not believe how good this phone ended up being, if I wasn't trying to review other phones and find great deals this would stay on my side or the edge plus 2023

Im trading in my edge 2022 so with the credit for that , my total I'm spending for the thinkphone is $265. I'm good with that! Can't wait for my new device. 😊

Great review!! This phone has flown completely under the radar.
I have a pixel 7 and the cameras on the thinkphone are not too far off. The photos aren't as sharp and lowlight shots aren't as good but the selfie cam is actually better on the think.
Everything else is better on the think and I prefer the moto security over Goo gle's goofy Ai stuff.
When it comes to the battery and charging speed the think makes the pixel look like a gas station phone.
Ive also received a monthly security patch so it seems that moto is serious about support.
I like having 2 phones for all the features and backup. For the money you can't beat the pairing of a pixel 7a and the thinkphone. For Under $900 dollars you're pretty much covered and have 2 great phones. Folks don't have to spend over $1000 dollars for one damn phone nowadays.
You are correct, i literally have a pixel 7 pro, s23 ultra pixel fold and so on, and I daily the thinkphone, the performance to cost is amazing to me for what all you can do on this phone.
Oh yeah, I like to read at night and the anti flicker feature and the extra dimming have been absolute game changers on the think. Really easy on the eyes.
That s-pen on the s-23U is definitely legit. If it wasn't for that prehistoric charging tech I would have picked one up too. After experiencing fast charging on my Realme GT2 Pro for the last year and a half I just can't go back to slow charging. The pixel 7 charging speed drives me nuts but it was only $450 so I tolerate it. Lol
I’m deciding between this and the Moto Stylus 2023. Amazon has it for 399 but the wait time for delivery is almost two weeks!

Great review man! How does this phone do on phone calls? Is the call quality good?
The phone call quality from my experience has been very good, especially with Verizon and T-Mobile... I have not experienced any drop calls at all.
@@RJ_UploadsI have Verizon and I’m considering this phone. I have an iPhone 13 now but I miss all the Android stuff on iOS. I had the Motorola Edge Plus 2023 and loved it so I bet this phone would be great too. Thanks for replying 👍

I have this Phone it is a great phone with Great Specs and at 399 it is a no brainer in my opinion

This phone has edge features with business options on it ,i got the razr and edge 2022. It needs a 512 or 1tb model
if they came out with 512 or 1 TB models, I think I would have to get the rest of the family this device! 😀

I've been a Motorola dude since the 90s. Wanted the RAZR+ but even on sale it was too much. Grabbed the ThinkPhone for $599 CAD. This battery is absurd (you gotta be really using the device to kill it), and charger in the box and a case?!? Damn steal...
I'm telling you this phone to me, people have slept and are sleeping on it, especially for the cost, I'm glad you are a Motorola dude like me 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
@@RJ_Uploads If Motorola stays consistent with the updates (already got the December patch), and puts a bit more effort with the cameras (I'm a photographer by trade), they're going to see a resurgence for sure.

@@RJ_Uploads definitely! The ThinkPhone is great when the lighting is good. Haven't tried any lowlight pics yet though. Truth be told, I wanted the Sony Xperia V b/c the camera alone is worth the cost, everything else is just a bonus, but reality is I'm never dropping more than $700 CAD ($500-550 USD) on a device again. No smartphone should cost a couple car notes in money.

It still shocks me that others didn't check this phone out and review it like it should, I know techodyssey and a couple others did which made me pick it up and check it out, and it blew me away on how good this phone is and how I prefer it over my more expensive phones that are supposed to be the creme of the crop, I can't put it down😂
How is the 5g reception/speed on the phone?
The reception is great, I get better reception on this phone than my s23 ultra and my pixel devices, and the speeds are top tier in my area, I'm on Google Fi which is running on T-Mobile network in my area and it's fast, heck I'm using it now to type this now at home, and on my wifi 6e network with no hiccups at all. 👍🏾👍🏾

@@jltcdm369 I think this phone is a great option plus the added features and protection from this device is by far the best to me especially in durability, it's extremely smooth on this os, it's probably the only phone I rock without a case on and feel confident enough that it will not break if dropped although I'm not gonna drop it on purpose lol.

Yeah it seems today that the headphones jack is seriously leaving us on most phones... But I have become such a Bluetooth person that I don't mind it, I don't approve of taking another option away that won't block the type c port though... 👍🏾👍🏾

I have a friend that has the Nokia XR21 and he says he loved it, just make sure it's compatible to the carrier that you use or going to use, I think that was the only drawback he had, he was with att and they wouldn't allow the phone to work on their network, so he ended up buying a pixel instead.

I would call att first and check and see if they have white listed the phone, I don't know why they do this but sometimes you can call and see if it's still blocked or see if they can change the listing to where it can work on their network, it wouldn't hurt first...
I don't my friend tried to see if they would change it but att may have updated their phone list since then

Motorola>pixel phones! And i was a hige fan of pixels. Once the cameras get a little better then it will be zero competition. Moto beats pixel in every single category except pictures, but the 7 pro cameras weren't enough to keep me from switching. I would normally get 5 hours of screen on time with my pixel then my phone would get close to dying while getting very hot. I'm at over 8 hours of screen on time with the thinkphone and still have 36%
That's great and I agree with you on that perspective as well, as far as the cameras go, do you have Google One?... if so you can utilize the some of the pixel features that use to be exclusive to only the those phones on other devices, I found that out not to long ago and it works great which puts it right there with the pixel to me, I recommend this phone to everyone 👍🏾👍🏾
