So amazing - I *always* wonder, what happened here??!! any time I see an abandoned property, that question arises. This is reasonably young, given the solar and propane equipment...but - what happened? I suppose one could go to county records and find out the owner(s), you might be able to determine something...it'd be fascinating, no question. The setting is lovely ... the peace sublime ... in my view it would not be too difficult to rehab the place, depending on the shape of the power equipment. In any case - what an enjoyable project! Thanks for the share. Now please go back and shut the windows and doors! :)
I lived in that house for 3 years 2015 to 2018 and was a beekeeper, and sold honey downtown Sedona..... The panels you see I put there back in 2018 because they were damaged during a storm..... That house is a hard place to live especially in summer when it's 120 degrees and 50% humidity.
It’s not for the faint of heart. I’d be willing to leave my wonderful property in Oregon and move to the desert. I grew up in Tucson when it was a half horse town!!
@@MarvinThiessen Agreed. Or stayed with complete block and no wood. Looks to be drying out. No windows broken, looks like early 70's or late 60's doesn't it?
Nice. I wouldn't mind living there and fixing it up, but I'm living where I'm living. I just love the Southwest. All the smells of being in the Sedona Canyon. 👍
It really wouldn't take all that much to get that place fixed back up and livable again. If I had the means and was about 15-20 years younger I myself would love to fix it up and make it into a really nice place to live
Never over 100° in Sedona and always cools down at night. Earlier commenter probably hasn't been within 100 miles of that place, much less living there. Only a 4 wheel drive could get there. The owner possibly built there because of the beauty out every window, but left because so remote. One of those things that seemed like a good idea until it wasn't.
Property is beautiful but Needs to be cleaned up and the existing house demolished with exception of the stone walls and rebuild something nicer to match the surroundings.

the owner might have been murdered there --- and now you are running thru the place.. not a good idea .... you could have been shot on the spot , opening doors in a remote area. kind of dumb --.

Never a good idea to go onto someone's property and go into their buildings. Not good legally and could be deadly if someone were inside.

So True
That property is not been left behind that long everything is still pretty fresh,I think the owners are still going there.
Extremely doubtful, there's zero signs of recent activity, unless you consider several years ago "recent activity".

I would love to find a place like that to live out my days in Peace and Quiet. I wish i knew how to contact the owner!!
Go to tye appraisal district. There you will find the owner..someone gotta be paying taxes on the land.

Or prison
What a beautiful home and surroundings. Somebody should restore it 💖
