You can clean a stained leather saddle with glycerin soap or plain glycerin. There are these stores , Naturalia ( if you're in France, i suspect you are), where you can buy it for 2€. Shoe cream is not ideal but if you have nothing else, it's ok. Lip balm (yes) will do decently for proofing the saddle; with beewax and lanoline, preferably.
