If he was stuck doing Max Dupri, he would’ve been alright. Don’t get me wrong, I was ecstatic when LA Knight was back, but the guy is so good that for that little bit of time, I was starting to dig it. So much so, that when he was LA Knight again, I said to my brothers, “I’m glad LA Knight is back, but I’m gonna miss Max Dupri.”
Even now, I think Mansoor, Maxine & Mace are doing great with the gimmick.
I think MMM are funny but they were a waste of LA Knight’s talents

Which I also really loved and still think that was a great gimmick but it was a upper mid card capped gimmick, so good on him for realizing that. I just think Eli drake would more adequately harken back to his long run as a Indy guy who fought a long time for his success, rather than what some could perceive as a over night success in la knight… yeah!

Feuding with Bray was a great thing. It got him over & showed he can cut a promo. The match was bad but feuding with a main eventer isn’t

La Knight got big spotlight and time to showcase what he’s capable of in a top program on smackdown. Nothing shows that he got ruined or wasn’t better off after feuding with bray.

LA Knight and Judgment Day are probably the ones who have benefited the most once Triple H took the book.
Judgment Day were booked like goobers during their initial phase after Edge was kicked out. Then once Triple H got involved in creative, they gradually became the main focal point of Raw.
And LA Knight was allowed to be rid of Max Dupri and prove to the people in the back that he can get over by just being himself.
