It's so nice to see you succeeding and that your plan is working for you. :) I bet it felt so good recently when all you had to do was pull that cash out of your car repair envelope to pay for the car repairs you needed. No need to put off the repair, borrow from someone or go in debt, that money was right there. Your hard work is so impressive, Monet! :D

i’m 17 (18 in june !!) and i’m so glad i found your channel ! the way you explain things and break them down makes it so easy for me to understand ! i’m moving out and into my first apartment in august and i’m hoping by using this method i can get my finances started off on the right foot !!

Every time I stuff my sinking funds I find myself dipping into it , so frustrating. I am starting fresh today for April sinking funds. My plan is to deposit the cash into my savings account and use a place holder so I won’t see the cash. I hope this helps me out I need to save

Your idea of $1000 place markers is so good!! Considering how much you are saving monthly, and worrying about you having so much cash - Wondering if a $500 place marker might be good as well?? Strong, strong position for you so soon!

Do you have one bank account & keep track of the sinking funds with the envelopes? Or do you have different bank accounts for each category?
For my sinking funds I have one savings account and keep track with the envelopes

I agree with the comment below wouldn’t it be awesome if you were debt free and owned a home and then began to invest. You could definitely a millionaire especially since you’re so young
