@@asyajourney4923it was high like over 6.3 or something. It’s because I had PCOS. I had a lot of eggs but it didn’t mean they were in good quality due to my age. So although I retrieved a lot of eggs only a few fertilized and reached blastocyst stage. And out of those only one was genetically normal. On my last IVF cycle I had 3 normal embryos. Meaning you never know what each cycle will bring. Keep trying. It’s worth it. My baby boy is the greatest joy of my life!
Listen Hellynn! You are so strong and you’ve got this. I wish that you get a BIG FAT POSITIVE! I’m 45yrs old and after my first FET, I’m progressing nicely. I too did embryo banking (1-2 eggs retrieved per cycle), but through a mini IVF protocol with an awesome doctor in NYC - Dr. John Zhang (New Hope Fertility). Mini IVF is very cost effective and less stimulation involved. I believe that is best for women over 40. My HCG continues to rise, and I’m so happy. If you can withstand it, don’t give up! ❤❤❤❤
Congratulations🎉🎉🎉 this makes me so happy you don’t even know. I hope that everything goes perfectly for you moving forward as well. Please let me know how it goes!!❤
@@HE..n Hi! No. I’m talking about New Hope Fertility Center in (Midtown) Manhattan, NY. If you look up the doctor, (John Zhang) who is the Medical Director there, you can find it. Hang in there! ❤ in your 40s it’s very much a numbers game of going through enough embryos to get to a genetically viable one. Try and think of every “failure” as getting closer in the odds to the one that will work ❤❤
I’m just starting my first FET and we only have one embryo. It’s been tested and they said it’s a high grade. But I’m mentally preparing for it not to work. My husband is optimistic. I’m hopeful but also trying to contain any excitement until I get a positive pregnancy result. Sending you lots of positive energy. I know it’s so tough. I love what you said about how if something is meant for you it will not miss. That’s so encouraging.
You will make it, dear! ❤ I have transferred my hatching baby 5 days ago and my first symptom was mild constant headache 🙏🏻 I am also providing updates on RUclips bcs I think videos like those are so important. @@BiancaRLima Sending you so much love as you go through your 2ww!! I will be stopping by to see the videos. Thank you for your uplifting message today💗
Also definitely agree with your decision not to test! Even if it takes longer going through the ones that may not work it’s better to give every embryo the chance. There are hundreds of women in facebook groups who had healthy babies from mosaics and even abnormals. I saw an article recently about how studies on the benefits of PGT are skewed and people who previously championed it are changing their minds. My aunt did not test embryos made over many rounds at 43/44 and after several failures and miscarriages she was able to have 2 children from them at 45 and 51. One of those was a poorly graded embryo too! Persistence is the key at this age, you’ll get there in time ❤
Where I live (Scandinavia) PGT is only recommended if you have a specific condition you need to screen for. Generally it doesn't increase the chance of conceiving in other situations.
@@hellynn_jI’m going to give you the opposite opinion. I disagree with your decision not to test. Here’s why: 1. The study everyone references where “abnormal” embryos become healthy babies is seriously flawed. If you read the fine print, that study included a dozen or so embryos with “no result” not just embryos deemed abnormal. Statistically embryos that come back as “no result” are chromosomally normal 50% of the time. This would account for the majority of the supposedly abnormal embryos that led to success in the study. 2. Yes, mosaic embryos have a decent chance of success. But PGT testing would identify those and you could transfer them. 3. Lost time. The time wasted transferring abnormal embryos, could better be spent doing more egg retrievals to get a normal embryo. 4. Too many assumptions. Not testing at your age assumes that your only challenge to getting pregnant is Chromosomal abnormalities. You don’t know that. Plenty of women make PGT normal embryos, only for transfers to not take in their uterus. They move on to a surrogate and it works. The uterus is a whole other part of the equation that you won’t know could be a problem. Chemicals and miscarriages at your age will be assumed to be due to chromosomal abnormalities and uterine issues will be overlooked. I can use my own story as an example. My first transfer with a chromsomally normal embryo resulted in a miscarriage at 6 weeks. Because the embryo was tested, doctors knew to look to my uterus for answers. I had a uterine biopsy which determined I had a uterine infection that needed to be cleared. I cleared that and my next PGT tested transfer worked- just entered my third trimester. Had I not had the first embryo tested doctors would have assumed chromosomal abnormalities (I was 38/39) and not checked my uterus and I would have miscarried again. 5. The possibility of future termination of pregnancy. The chances of Chromosomal abnormalities are high at your age. I was 38 and newly 39 during my three retrievals. My results where: round 1: 1/3 normal, round 2: 1/2 normal, round 3: 1/6 normal and 1 mosaic. You don’t want to have a “successful” pregnancy only to get further along and be faced with the decision to terminate. Not all chromosomal abnormalities miscarry early. I am probably the opposite of what you described yourself as in kind of “fantasizing”. I forgot the exact term you used. Not to say I never fantasize or dream, but when it came to getting pregnant I looked at it very logically and methodically. When you are struggling to get pregnant, you want to eliminate as many variables are you can, so that you can find answers and solve problems. Without PGT testing you are leaving a huge variable unanswered. Also I believe a lot of the studies on PGT testing are old and not up to date. PGT testing is a lot more reliable now than it was previously. One way we know this is that NIPT results for PGT tested embryos very rarely comes back as abnormal- the results are way lower than the general population that uses NIPT tests. In a world where you want to give yourself the highest chance of success possible, you don’t want to use “exceptions” to make the rule. Abnormal embryos becoming babies are exceptions.. extremely rare exceptions, that like I said, are often questioned- could be a flawed study or even flawed test results. Pregnancies with PGT tested embryos being abnormal also happen but they are extremely rare and are the exception. Anyway… that’s my two cents. Hope you take it as I meant it, respectfully. Good luck!
@@Jennifer-fk8kb thank you for your views, they are appreciated, and I understand them. The reason why we committed to not testing was because I had already transferred a few untested at that point and thought we might as well stick to not testing for the rest of this batch because there were only a few left, and we would just transfer multiples. Also, the last transfer I went through, my embryos had only grown to day four, so you can’t test at that stage. Never said that I was fantasizing about anything to do with PGT, but I did say I have a naivete about my overall success, and that I was hopeful. I think the study you are referring to might be different from the one I read because it entailed a larger group than that, while still small. Anyway, I also said that I was open to testing in the future if I had to do more retrievals, and I also said that I am not against testing so I do understand your perspective. Thank you💗

I am sending you ALL the love and positive vibes your way!!!! YOU GOT THIS! And it's okay to protect yourself. This is YOUR journey. You share what you want when you want to. The fact that you're sharing your journey with us, it's so admirable and you are incredibly strong. ❤❤❤❤❤
I am wishing you a big fat positive ➕❤️ Your videos have helped get me through my own IVF journey and I felt less alone. You have such a beautiful energy and I think you would make the best mama. I hope this so much for you. I did my second 5 day FET last Friday. I tested 6DPT but got a negative. Although it’s not great I’ve read different things so I haven’t tested again and will just wait for the blood test in two days time. It’s been such a long journey. I hope we both get to hold our babies soon.
I'm wishing you so much luck and love dear. I know it's such a stressful time this 2 week wait period. I don't think that I will test this time around either because it causes a lot of anxiety. No matter what happens, I am cheering you on and we are in it together😘 let me know how it goes, You got this mama
dear, i totally understand you, but don't give up! it will work out! My best friend gave birth to a healthy, beautiful son 9 months ago at the age of 52, I myself am about to have my first embryo transfer and I am 49! I tell myself that if it doesn't work out, my life will go on, if it does, so much the better and of course I will be infinitely grateful! But I'm really not putting any pressure on myself. At the moment I'm taking the hormones I need and the transfer should take place in about 2 weeks. It's incredibly important that your thyroid works well and that you take enough magnesium, B6, B12, iron and folic acid. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and for myself too!🥰🙏
I just had my first FET 3 days ago and I’m feeling worried since all I feel is mild cramping. I’ve been following your journey and it’s been making me feel less alone. You got this!! All you need is one good embryo! 💕
Hellynn, your RUclips channel feels like such a safe space; thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so vulnerable and sharing your story. I am so so very hopeful about your journey. I am a mommy of 4 little ones. Am 42. We actually decided AFTER seeing your journey to try naturally again for one last one.... God's willing. I am invested in your journey and wish you all the very best. Am praying for you and every woman that one day wants to be a mommy. 🙏& ❤

I started my ivf journey along with you, I ended up with a chemical pregnancy, Feeling devastated and clueless… A part of me want to quit expecting, and loose all hopes.. It was my first ever conception, no more frozen embryos left.. ☹️.. I am looking forward towards your journey, I hope you share the good news with us very soon…!!
I am on my TTC journey. I ended up here because I wanted to educate myself more about IVF. Thank you so much for sharing your story and experience through this challenging process. Listening to you makes me feel like I am listening to my big sister. I am routing for you, Hellynn!
Hellynn I haven’t talked you a while. I would like to leave comment. I feel your pain and I really feel that God has prepared for the stronger baby as much as stronger you are. Keep visualising that baby is in your arms I strongly believe that God has sent perfect baby to perfect couple. You are very strong, faithful and good hearted. It is okay to share hard feelings. I will pray that you will meet him/ hers
Thank you so much for this. I really truly believe that I am just being molded to become the best mother. I will continue to visualize my baby… thank you for being so encouraging and uplifting. ❤❤❤
Praying for you that the third time is your lucky one 🙏 My mantras (for me ttc naturally): "As long as I am not in menopause I still have chances" and "What happened once can happen again".
Thank you for sharing your story. I like how you said you’ll give it your all and not let age deter you. I had a negative comment from a friend who told me that if I wanted a second child I would be too old and 80 by the time my children are in college. I was so taken aback by that especially since I’ve been trying to have 1. Ideally I’d like 2 if faith lets me have it. Keep trying ! If it helps, I would avoid taking a pregnancy test to relieve such anxiety and stress. Let it roll and soon enough you’ll have that miracle baby!!!! Sending you positives your way. Go women!!!!
Thank you for your encouragement! Let's not let negativity affect us in any way, Your friend has no business saying that to you and that's definitely not a very nice thing to say to somebody who is TTC. Don't let it in! Sending you lots of positive vibes and positive vibes only!
This is my first FET, I'm fluctuating in the good and bad thoughts, out of nowhere bad thoughts come to my mind, then I try to pray and fill my soul and heart with positiveness tomorrow is the 10 Day after 3 Day fresh transfe testing day, I hope God bless me
❤ I’m 3dpt and also being cautiously optimistic about it. My heart goes out to you and wishing you all the best. Sending you all of the best vibes and baby dust.
Good luck sweetie!! I totally understand what you are passing through and all the stress and agony. When the science stops, God takes over and I wish to you and your husband strong faith and your baby soon will meet you.
Hi hellynn! I am also 40 years old.i did my first ivf cycle..it was fresh transfer with 2 embryos one was 4AA and other one is 3BA ,I started taking home pregnancy test done always test came very very faint line. I did the blood test 9 days after the transfer it need to be confirmed so repeating it again after 2 days. Then it was confirmed as negative results. So I am waiting to hear from my doctor on Monday. I am really sad about it..
Aw I am so sorry that you are experiencing this anxiety- I know exactly what you are going through and I am sending you a lot of love and support. No matter what results come, please know everything will be okay… we will be okay💗💗💗
Hi Lynn! Thank you for your video. I needed too know I was not only on this one. I'm 42 years old and have had two failed IVF rounds in New Zealand: my embryos didn't make it =( I'm getting ready for my last treatment with the eggs from when I was 40. Many doctors dont tell you this but genuinely laugh as much as you can from transfer throughout the first 48hrs. That stress free, light heartedness yields more successful transfers than worrying. I downloaded funny videos, watched my favorite movie (shrek). My husband had jokes for days. My embryo stuck. I have my son. I also did acupuncture immediately after & ate nachos, my favorite.

Aww thank you so much 💖 Those are very kind words. I empathize tremendously with women going through egg freezing. It is pretty much the same thing, but more having to do with self empowerment. Either way we are on this journey of becoming our best selves. Wishing you luck and love, keep in touch. ❤
Praying for you and your journey. May hope stir in your soul and peace sustain you when you need it. Praying that the God who created you would give you the gift of a beautiful baby.
Hello! A friend did finish all her embryos, including egg donor embryos, just to find afterwards that she has trombophilia and other conditions that produce chemical pregnancies such as KIR-AA. Now she is doing new embryos with very low probabilities because she is older. The normal protocols do not test for these conditions but a good immunologist should find it out. Maybe you can check before your next embryo transfer. My friend believes all this neglect in diagnosing infertility is just a move to take money out from women rushing them into ivf…
Thank you for sharing your story! I am praying for you!! I am ~40 and at the FET stage. I am constantly getting rescheduled coz my linings either low some cycle or is more somecyles. I was looking for vlogs of others on the IVF journey.. You definitely give me hope and strength to stay the course ❤❤Thank you 🙏

Hi before 3rd embryo trasfer check your uterus this time hysteroscopy test it will tell you everything inside uterus is fine or not, then go for transfer with "Embryo glue" i think these two thing will definitely going to help check your uterus first and detox your body before 3rd trasfer

Hi Hellyn I want to admire you for being so strong and sharing your story. Like a lot of people have already said you are strong and don’t give up on hope. I’m in my late 30’s and also in this trying to conceive journey. I read the book “ It Starts With The Egg “ and applied a lot of the health suggestions and started taking a lot I mean a lot of supplements that are also suggested in this book for Low AMH as that is what I have and to my surprise right before starting our first IVF cycle I got pregnant. I’m currently still very early on just 6 weeks but I wanted to share so you know there is still hope and I know you will get that BFP soon. Can I also suggest you ask your doctor about the ERA test. They might be transferring too soon or too late. It never hurts to ask questions and do one more test if that will help you get pregnant. You are in my thoughts and prayers for a successful 3rd round.
Thank you so much for your advice. I’ve read a summary of the book and I follow the practices within it. Congratulations on your pregnancy!! I will definitely inquire about the ERA test again, my doctor told me that it wasn’t necessary unless I was having symptoms of infection so I left it alone but I think I should pursue it again if this round doesn’t work out. I find out if my third round was successful or not, but I’m not really expecting anything! Thank you so much for all your advice, and I wish the best for you and your growing baby!❤️❤️❤️
It’s great that you’re feeling like that. I’m going through my third transfer and my mindset is exactly like yours. I’m very grateful and happy. Praying for you!
I never tested embryos cause we’re Catholics, so that was always a no no for me. The only things I did differently where: increased exercise (strength training), I did a B1 megadose (100mg 3 x day) and some red light therapy during the two week wait (I use a red light belt)
Thank you so much for sharing your story. You sharing has truly been a blessing as I embark on the same process of IVF. Your positivity radiates and I'm sending positivity and prayers your way
I had two failed transfers, i had those pgt tested from the beginning. My endomatrial lining was around 8mm to 9mm. In first transfer i had accupenture on the day of transfer and they used embryo glue. Second time they did PRP 5days before transfer. This time i have second opinion from two doctors. They both recommend me to do ERA test. And another doctor said he will do two transfer 1day apart. One transfer according to ERA test and second by my natural date. I don't have any good tested embryo left so we will have to more pick up.
Thank you for sharing your story. My understanding is that PRP is usually done a few months ahead of time before the egg retrieval, maybe this is a different kind of PRP? I wish you the best of luck for your next step. Keep me posted.❤❤❤

I think you can allow yourself to be hopeful! I am sending you so much positive energy, and baby dust. Let me know how it goes!❤
I’ve never been more invested in a strangers story than yours. Sending you as much positive energy as I can! Hoping 3rd time is a charm for you!

@@hellynn_j thank you! We need to grow our community to feel less lonely. I am here for you!😘
Also definitely agree with your decision not to test! Persistence is the key at this age, you’ll get there in time ❤
Thank you so much for sharing this story. This is very encouraging and beautiful to hear.❤
Hello! Thank you for sharing this!!!! I agree with you!
Where I live (Scandinavia) PGT is only recommended if you have a specific condition you need to screen for. Generally it doesn't increase the chance of conceiving in other situations.
@@hellynn_jI’m going to give you the opposite opinion. I disagree with your decision not to test. Here’s why:
Thank you💗

Thank you for sharing your story. I like how you said you’ll give it your all and not let age deter you.
Thank you for the tip, I will definitely ask about this. I did do a blood panel for immune issues prior to transferring, so I will ask.
Thank you for sharing your story! I am praying for you!!

I never tested embryos cause we’re Catholics, so that was always a no no for me. The only things I did differently where: increased exercise (strength training), I did a B1 megadose (100mg 3 x day) and some red light therapy during the two week wait (I use a red light belt)
@@lusbrighi thanks for the tips. Congrats again, I hope my fourth transfer is the one that works too! ❤
You're such a strong woman! Whatever happens, wishing you all the best! I'm also in my early 40s and going to do my first FET soon. 🙏

Next embriyo transfer before u test tha ERA test then tansfer embriyo it good result gives u sister
@hellynn_j yes....they also do just before transfer as well for blood flow. Good luck with the next transfer and stay brave.
May God see you through this you’ve been through it all 🙏🏾
