- In this video I show you how we make a Motorcycle rally Faring from scratch. Bert Boute, From Story Of B, is helping me out with the build of his motorcycle fairing.

This is the first part of these series where we talk about how the plug is being made and how we finish it with some pattern coat from Easy Composites. We go through the steps of adjusting the fairing, then adding Pu foam blocks, shaping it with a coarse file, then finishing the top of the surface with some polyester resin and fiberglass. To finish the filler and bondo to a nice surface we spray on some pattern coat from easy composites to achieve a nice finish. This is the progress after the first day!

Thanks! Happy as well! Just takes so much time making these video's as they take a lot of time to make the parts, then edit the video's :) I have many projects almost ready so you should be getting one video a week again ;)

Indeed! More comming soon!
Great new series.
glad you like it, its a bit of a different approach :)
great job!!!
Hi, great video. What spray gun and nozzle size did you use to spray the pattern coat primer on with? Thx.
Gaaf project!
leuk dat je het leuk vind!
Nice video. Looking forward for the next ones! Small question. I'm on the lookout for an air compressor to hook up pneumatic tools and a spray gun to do similar stuff (I want to modify track fairings next winter to have a motoGP kinda style). What are the minimum specs (volume, air displacement, oil lubricated, max pressure, etc.) you would recommend?
Careful using winglets and other "external aerodinamic element" on your fairings, a lot of tracks are banning them for trackdays and similar events.
I have a 50l air compressor at the moment with 400l/min output at the moment, but as you can see in the video I'm switching to all air compressed so looking for a 600l output at least now and 250l tank. You should be ok with a 400l output if you just do small stuff put I'm upgrading to all air compressed with different lines so will need more :) I expect to pay around 1200 euro for a good air compressor now but for the one I had till now I've paid 380€ I think.
gafrers Thanks for the advise. Looking for the “pre-winglets” look though 😬
Matthieu Libeert Thanks for the feedback. That’s somewhat more than I was hoping, but glad to hear. Good luck with the build
i hope u make tutorial on how to make custom fuel tank for motorcycle
Fuel tanks are way more complex to do due to the fact that you have fuel in it that can react with the epoxy, so better to do with metals probably 🙂
@@MatthieuLibeert Nep... you can do with Vinyl esther resin... highly resistent to Chemicals... is the same way to do CF.. or FG..
Goe bezig gaste ;) benieuwd naar het resultaat! Veel succes op uw reis Bert! Wanneer vertrekte?
ik denk dat hij binnen 2 weken vertrekt! vraag het morgen eens aan Bert :D
Merci! En ik vertrek 2 April normaal! :) Waar zitte gij zoal nu?
He come to India ,when?
What are they @ 7:49 ?
These are my air filters 🙂
your filters from the mask are not good anymore.... pls change them!
