Hi there!! When I say “earthy” I mean really smells like Earth; ground, dirt. I would say “skanky” or “animalic” if it smelled like donkey butt or barn. 😂
I'm binge watching your videos this week, lol. I had to laugh bc I bought Safanad from that blasted Fragbuy sale for $165, blind. But my favorite orange blossom is Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie Guerlain and I can't wear it in the summer bc I pick up too much of the pink pepper which totally ruins it for me. So fingers crossed I like the de Marly. Actually, I need all my fingers, toes, legs...arms, crossed because I bought too much in that stupid sale. I was so good all year until that blasted sale. At least I have nieces that raid my perfume closet. Loved this video, it made me feel better about my, um, hobby? Obsession? At least there's no bunnies involved. ;)
Happy Sunday Chris. I am with you regarding decluttering. If it just doesn’t bring me total joy I think it’s best to let go. Plus it opens the door for fragrances that I truly love.

I’m fortunate to have a granddaughter who shares my passion for fragrance. Whenever something doesn’t work for me, I pass it on to her to try. We have similar tastes, but not exactly the same. So I never have the aggravation of trying to resell my fails. 😂
I live in boiling hot Arizona. I used to line dry my clothes. They dried in an hour, and they smelled wonderful! 🌞
When you realize that a fragrance just doesn’t work for you, why let it sit on a shelf and go bad??? It’s so nice that you let it live its life with someone who will love it. Kudos! 😊

I’m finding that as time goes by my nose is getting fickle! It’s incredible how much my nose changes. Is there something wrong with my sense of smell? Lol…I can love a perfume one year and the next year become disinterested in it. Fortunately I am able to pass it on to my daughter in law, friend or coworker. Love to see the smile on their faces when they receive it!! ❤😊

Me too! I'm at the point where I'll try a 2 mil. Sample to see if I like the scent & then buy a larger 5mil. just to make sure I will actually use it before I get a full bottle

I love your descriptions of fragrances and we like a lot of the same notes🌹❤️
Here is one strategy.
#1- One bottle per brand
#2- No similiar scents or flankers
#3- Scents that are for one occasion or too specific.
#4- Limit a number (5,10,20,25) as a maximum
#5- Scents that are very high in price or are limited use.
#6- Discontinued and hard to find scents
That’s an excellent strategy! Would be near impossible as a content creator. And I can’t imagine having to choose one Guerlain? 😮but if I ever stop creating content and retiring this is an excellent option 👍🏻
At 16:36 I also bought several Parfums de Marly fragrances to "complete my collection". I ended up selling Valaya and Meliora becuase they I didn't like them as much as some of the others. At 3:32 Mizensir "For Your Love" is one of my top favorites.. I like it just as much as BR 540 extrait and if you layer it with Kilian "Rolling in Love" is smells like a much better/higher quality YSL "Mon Paris" ❤😊

I blind bought a fragrance because it had my name in the title..lol. How perfect would it be to have a signature scent with your name in it? I tried so hard to like it but couldn't. Another bad reason to buy a fragrance.
I do like 1969 though. I get more of the spices than the peach. I also bought it because of Angelina Jolie..lol.

I adore "For Your Love". It was my most worn last year. I put it away during the cold months but will be reaching for it again. I can see how it might pull sour on some people but I'm fortunate it smells lovely with my chemistry.

Hi Chris. So interesting how differently perfumes last on different people. Santal Calling is well lasting on me, easily 8-9 hours with a noticeable sillage. So sorry to hear it didn’t work out for you as it is such a beautiful perfume.

I remember you talking about Wish Come True and I know it wasn't really a love for you.. I remember thinking I might like it, but I've still never gotten a sample to this day. Will Be Love was such a disappointment. I agree, not gourmand at all. Sunday gave me the same sick feeling that I got when I smelled Secretions Magnifique. I also loved the Accident Creme de la Berry but didn’t need to smell like crunchberries either! The only one I disagree with Is Poudree de Riz…such a pretty, pretty fragrance that you just might want to wear again sometime down the road. Looking beautiful as always😘

Hey Chris. I had similar reactions to a couple of the perfumes you mentioned in this video. Rolling in Love was boring and undescrip for me. Totally underwhelming!
Alt hair was a no for me too. Was nothing special on my skin.
1969 has been on my want to sample list because I too heard it was Angelina Jo lie’s signature scent and that also made me curious about it. When you commented that I laughed out loud!!😂 now I think I’ll pass on it so thanks for your review.
It is so darn fascinating how perfume smells so different on different skin. Rolling in love for example I bought a sample of because another RUclipsr raved about it and it sounded like something would enjoy. Alas, it fell so flat for me. Avoid temptation and first! Today I nearly convinced myself to buy the full bottle of Sirens n sailors from Jusbox ( on sale 30% on avant- guard) because another RUclipsr loves it and described it in a way that calls to me, BUT I refrained and bought the sample instead.
