My mother n law grew up in Bessemer. I went once years ago for a family reunion. It’s an interesting place. Black families didn’t do too bad. Her dad worked in the iron mines and owned many homes in the neighborhood. She grew up in the 50’s and her parents put 5 of their 10 children through college. #blackexcellence
I was stationed in Bama. Let me just say, I gained 10 lbs while I was there. The food is serious. My favorite spot was Jim N Nicks (Not Black Own) but good good. 😋

Crazy how Bessemer was a theme in life with the family I was raised with but my actual family originated and grew up there so you know it’s always nothing but love. Always gon shoutout Tiff, Jasmine and Lil Drew allday, Bessemer’s finest. I still feel like they need to give a NBA team to Birmingham or some major sports team, it’s time. Just remember these jokes are strictly aimed at my brother when I refer to Bessemer, never the town or people, I got too much love for y’all to ever do that. But, Dee down, y’all know if/when we do the movie, it’s gon be the funniest S you ever seen. The whole world gon know BEH’ MUH after this movie.

That's Not true Dee you don't have to fry with flour to get a perfect coat as you can see with the pork chops..😊😊😊😊 I fry my fish without batter and most of my meat cause it taste better and it keeps you from gaining weight.

Birmingham consists of five large Counties. Bessemer is in Jefferson County and Birmingham is the County Seat of Jefferson County. So, that makes Bessemer a part of Metropolitan Birmingham just like the other cities and principalities in the five counties that makes up Metro Birmingham.
