I have to say Tel that's up there with your very best work, superb interview what a lifestory Ray has to tell, compelling glued to the screen stuff, really enjoyed it.
Raymondo, well told my friend.. so proud of you mate and literally couldn't be more spot on.. the reality of it was real.. even though we done what we done back then we eventually came good , for that we can be very proud of the end result. It's funny how the haters only remember who we were and not what we've become. Like you're doing by sharing your story I share mine to the youngens who think there's no way out of the criminal life they lead and that it has to start with them or they'll be put in a situation , a life changing moment that will decide their future for them... #woolwichcommon #crescentroad #barnfield 💪👊
Tell you what Terry, you get some cracking guests on. Great episode. Think Ray must be the only person I have heard say he would change things if he could go back too. Most people seem to say that those choices made them who they are and got them to where they are. I guess he must know that with his current mindset he would be successful without going down the crime route. Keep em coming mate 👍
You’ve outdone yourself yet again Tel’ Ray’s a proper sound lad, no bullshit and tells it straight. Now helping people from his own experiences. Top bloke and full respect to you both👊🏼 “I live for Sunday night TT!” 🚀
Great podcast! Lovely fella Ray is too! Hats off to how he’s turned things around. He described Colin Ireland perfectly! We had Colin on the unit at Hull and I spent lots of time with him and he was actually a nice fella. Not easy to rub down because of his size, but a nice fella.
Really enjoyed this pod cast today tell keep it coming I've just seen ur on dodges cast il be watching that this evening a look in to somebody I love to watch and listen to always 💯 content 👍
I'm sure he would agree. The straight and narrow returns 10 times more long term. Than the criminal life - at 10% of the effort. Crime is hard work, the life is exhausting, and the rewards are gone just as quickly as they are gained. It's my experience that crime starts because of poverty - and grows to a point that it is simply the engine room to fuel an addiction. But not all crimes are crimes. And a former criminal mixing with the upper classes can see quite clearly. They are criminals that cannot be caught. When you access the knowledge of those types of criminals. This system we exist in becomes very preferential indeed.
How long jailed hope didn't turn to the dark side or turd burgling as shocking long termers who think ok to play snooker and pot the brown leave back to wife like never happened
You absolutely need to get Eddie Maher on! He drove off with his own ATM van and went on the run for years! I recently read his book and man what a story he has to tell

Great seen n hearing your in a good place n putting your past to good effect... God bless 😁👊💯💯
If you think about it, all these guys with strong character haven’t spoken to the police, even though they could have even gotten a reduced sentence. On the other hand, when it comes to speaking face-to-face with Terry, his positive energy creates a sense of trust, as if you’re talking to yourself! The voice of the gangsters Terry Stone or Pope Terry (for the gangsters) lol!

Come across as a nice fella, I'm not saying Ray was like that but most villains couldn't be arsed getting up at six or earlier and doing 8-10hrs work for very little money. They wanted fast bucks and lifestyle and all that went with it. I could have gone that way but I'm now sitting here with a pension after working from the age of 15 in my own house with a garden like Monty Don's My mates have been in jail all their lives and now living in rented flats with kids and partners they never see.
University wasn't a realistic option for the working classes at that time. You probably went to a lousy state school. The police regularly fitted people up. You live on a crime ridden council estate. Not much money about. Dad not present. The older lads were into crime. So all in all pretty predictable
Always another way to earn a living. Every body has a choice. You don't need a university degree to be successful. I think most criminals are lazy people they want the easy money. Ray talks about we learn our trade!!!! Couldn't that trade be learnt in something legal it can't be worth loosing your liberty in and out of prison.
