Today we make MASSIVE progress on the GTS rebuild. After cutting the front tub off.. we finally got a new front tub and frame rails on! Now, it's time to test fit the body kit and get this thing back on the road.

Why would you take the frame rails off the new tub to put different frame rails back on? Just drill out the excess at the join and leave the full tub and rails together to fit as one
He could’ve saved a lot of money and time by using the already straight rails
I wonder if the recycler cut the rails (just further back), so that they weren't usable? Anyone know if there is an exploded view of the 981 chassis online somewhere?

It's just so satisfying seeing everything come together at the end of the video. I love that this whole project thus far has pretty much been a complete team effort. Can't wait for the next episode!!

God I feel your pain having done something almost identical on a 981 last year albeit my chassis rails were good. 3mm drill the rivets out, a 10mm to take the head off and then punch them out with an air hammer. Heat is essential to easily separate the panels

I dunno how far along you a e in real time, but it might be a good idea to contact Jack from Tavarish's channel for some basics on getting things square and lined up and keeping them that way when you start reassembling and seam/butt welding.

dustin....most cars are pieced together like that. porsche didn't do anything new here. haha
The only part I’m confused about is why they didn’t keep that “new” tub in tact and cut the car back to the point that the new tub ends then weld it on. I’m sure it ain’t that simple but I’m just confused

Hey bro... Why don't you just cut the frame real o. That side, beyond the bend, and just re-weld the side from. Ge new tub... drill out the rivets o. The new tub from he side that's good, and take that Fram tail off the new tub.. And then leave the side on the new tub that's bad on the car... so one NEW frame rail, and one original rail... cut it into a Chanel on the car, and then cut a channel the opposite way on tge new tub... So that you can slide the 2 pieces together, and then weld it... So it will basically slide together so you can drill a hole in the outer piece, and then you can either throw a quick spot weld or a rivet to hold it temporarily while you weld it all around, ya know what I'm saying bro?? So leave the car side, and the tub side a little long, b4 you make the channels... so that one side can slide into the other side, and they will match up... It's kind of hard to like say it, ya know... It would be easier to like draw it out... I wish that I had like MS Paint on my phone... I hope that you like understand, what I'm trying to say bro!!!!

This does not make any sense, you have a perfect frame rail on the donor part and why you are buying another new one? Break all the OEM seam seal for fun?

So the real story how tiana “found” this car. Ok everyone we all know Tiana is part of the black widow program. So this car belongs to one of the guys she had to assassinate. And the guy that supposedly sold them the car is actually a C.I.
