- This is a tear down and repair of the Samsung Note 5. We replace the digitizer/lcd. It does require a combo unit(digi/lcd), Stylus Sensor flex and most likely the rear glass. Use caution when removing the rear glass towards the top and bottom. There is an antenna in those locations. Also, use caution, when removing the glass on the bottom. Be careful around the touch sensors. I hope this video is helpful and if you have any questions or suggestions just let me know. Thanks for viewing.
Ouch. You guys should check a tutorial on how to remove the back glass with a suction cap. It's on the internets for a month or so.
+omegafm Actually tried that. With the curved glass on the back it gets tricky when you are prying. I'm sure as we do more we will get the hang of it!

Would a sprint lcd digitizer fit the Verizon note 5?

Heat gun, guitar pick, and suction cap would have done a must easier job.

Try using a heat gun to get back off. Works perfect on S5.

+Jake Methner There are a few reasons. If it is your first time it is not the easiest task to take on. If you done them before and feel comfortable then that is probably going to be the best way for you. If not then you have to be cautious to not damage the LCD during glass removal, then clean the old glue off without scratching the LCD, and are you going to do the repair the right way and re"glue" it? Then you have air bubbles to contend with and applying the right amount of LOCA glue. I don't know everyone's experience level so I always suggest the simpler route.

why is the back cover broken?? oh my G!
Because they didn't bother to heat up the back. You can take the back off with a blow dryer and guitar pick, I've done it 3 times already. My glass is the original glass the phone came with, no chips.
worst video i seen about doing this repair
