What size and brand are your snowshoes? How much do you weigh? Just getting an idea of what shoes I should get. Also, do they make much noise? I’ve read that traditional snowshoes are quieter than aluminum.
I have some quest snowshoes they work great when the snow conditions are right this was very powdery snow and no one was having luck with them no matter brand or body weight unfortunately
Great that you mentioned the land owners...especially in Wyoming Co. We gotta have the best and most gracious property owners around..........mostly farmers obviously. I have permission to literally hunt thousands of acres because of it.....again, mostly farmers. I often go and plow or plant for them, as well as help out during harvest season.......just to show my gratitude.
I often make gift baskets up and delivere them I've also helped several farmers cover bunks in the fall and helped do hay as well when they need the extra hand and I never take money! I've also started delivering eggs farm fresh from my chickens to people and they absolutely love and appreciate it
@@engravedoutdoors4550Yes, farmers really appreciate the little things. They always offer money and I refuse as well. I always tell them "letting me hunt is payment enough" 👍
As a late season grouse hunter may I suggest you try “Mushers Secret” for your dogs feet. It works incredibly well to keep pads unpacked on those cold days and also protects the surface from splitting as it builds up a tougher protective layer over time. Warm the jar up and push their feet right in it! Can’t wait for the next vid!
Thank you!! I don't personally own a coyote dog but the guys who do I know have some stuff they treat there feet with! Everyone with hounds treats them very well here 👌
We switched up this year we have a local radio company that let's us rent them! We had Motorola radios I forget exactly what ones but they had great range and we only found a few things we did not like about them. The main thing being the ptt button has a slight delay till you can talk. I had several cases where I had to use the radio bit was cutt off by someone else with the delay! The other thing was if you were in a very low spot down a hill or in a gully they would only work half the time if at all. Other than that they were great 👍
@@engravedoutdoors4550 You should do a review video on your different gear! I love to see the different equipment guys use in different parts of the country! Great videos keep them coming!
Very true about landowners being the key piece of the puzzle.if you or anyone hunting with you gets a bad rap its hard to get the bad taste out of the landowners mouth again.i definitely know how you feel with all that snow.we are going to run dogs in a few minutes and we will be up to our asses in snow just like we have been for over a week.i need to get a pair of snow shoes
Loved the video, hounds were sounding great !!👏👏👏

Where in WNY are you out of? I am up by Lake Ontario
Your radios seem to work a lot better than ours… what type of radios do you all run?
