@ZagiBob Really? So, a major vehicle manufacturer say, GM, makes a flying car? Please, point me in the direction of this mfgr. Maybe, Porche? I won't get my hopes up.
That first one was about 10 years ago, when the cruise ship was blown loose from its moorings by high winds at the BAE Shipyard in Mobile Bay. A guard shack was also blown loose and a man died when it went into the bay.
If you've ever driven a boat and tried to stop or make a sharp turn it doesn't always go as planned. That's part of the adventure but I love taking my 20 footer out. It's amazing how many friends you'll suddenly have just before you take a ski boat out for a spin on the lake.
Trucks run on highways. Trains run on tracks. Ships run on moving water affected by wind, tides, and currents. It's a wonder there are so few accidents in the big picture. The men who handle these behemoths are skilled beyond belief, but in these kinds of horrific events everything was usually working against them.
Of course, when a disaster occurs, the controller will be the one to decide the ship's survival, but then there will be conflicting opinions that do not care about emotions and blame them.
3:45 Those drivers are unbelievable. How can you drive on when you see this big ship coming from the right and it is clearly not going underneath the bridge?
the cruise with the black smoke, the systems on board had a spike which pushed the gensets/engines up, causing the sudden fueling, which dumped out of the exhaust pipes, so while there might of been a fire, you are seeing more exhaust smoke from everything getting thrown into wide open throttle.
Can't the people driving the ships see that they are going straight in the docks/shorelines. Every captain, steerman, and probably some of the crewmen on the brig in this video must lose their license to steering a ship for life. How can people who don't know what they are doing be allowed to steer a ship.
It seems like the law is lax so that people without a driver's license can operate ships. If they had a driver's license, they wouldn't be operating the ships so carelessly.
13:55 whats scary as hell is just taking that one container off caused the ship to almost capsize imagine being in heavy seas an the containers start toppling off the ship... instantly traped 50 feet below water in a capsized ship thats on her way to the bottom....gonna have todo a hard pass, mixed with a little of the hell with that, followed by aint nobody got time for that 😅😂😅😂😅😂
That sounds all sweet and poetic, but if someone can't feel love for life without being in danger, then they have some serious mental health problems to work out.
I'm sorry to a sad person but I must point out that this vid seems to be too light hearted when you consider: there were over 193 Victims in the Herald of Free Enterprise and that was no laughing matter, tone it down please and have a little more respect!😢
omg, the video recycling is sad. for a post that's 2 days old, nothing here is new, nor would it be a lie to say not a single one classifies as the biggest ship collision nor the biggest ship collision mistake. the only thing in this title that is honest, caught on camera - 5 years ago! get some new content
I can’t even imagine all of the paperwork these captains had to fill out.
Just their resignation paperwork.
@@gregmccarver-nz5dv You're fired!😠
yes~ every mistake is very tiring
Witnessing the aftermath of these catastrophic failures is truly chilling; it's hard to comprehend.
Mistakes are mainly caused by humans or angry nature
If boats still crash theres NO way we'll ever have flying cars.
We already have them
@ZagiBob

Just watch some dash cam videos from Russia - lots of flying cars there!
Do you really want the average crackhead driver flying over your house?

😱 Unbelievable footage! 😮 Ship collisions are a stark reminder of the immense power and responsibility at sea. 🚢
Once these big ship gather momentum they are hard to stop ✋
Once these big ship gather momentum they’re hard to stop!!!
I'm surprised that these accidents happen so often. So many miscalculations and damage!
I'm surprised they don't happen more. It's always amazed me that huge ships can successfully maneuver in port at all.

Why does it always seem like these huge cranes are just waiting for a stiff breeze to knock them down.
Seeing the aftermath of these catastrophic failures is truly chilling; it's difficult to grasp.
That's why I have never dared to travel by sea by ship
"Maaa, there's a ship in the living room"
The ship seem's to be casually backing away with its hands inits pockets, whislting an innocent tune, eyes looking up at the sky 🤫🤫
@@herbjergens6350 exactly! Lololololol. Have a great day/

Don't worry captain, we'll buff out those scratches
This was fun to watch. Thanks!
God will bless you always by your side when you go to the beach

OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH
Texting while sailing, it'll get you every time !
I’m gonna watch this again in the cabin of the ship and then again while hanging out with my group, and hopefully scare some people

Nothing too unusual about that last launch....

The act of destroying a ship in that vast ocean all happened step by step
Gotta give Canakkale credit for fully committing lol
Everyone on board these ships are all so casual, like shit happens every day like this, no biggie.
I can see now why orcas are trying to dismantle boats.
Bridge to Engineroom - "Finished with engines"....
And thats why i sold my insurance company!
These captains will now begin their new careers as push-cart peddlers.

The Queen Mary 2 has 12' of clearance when going under the Verrazano Bridge.
Crashed a large sailing boat into a bridge in my teens.
The impact was really strong, wasn't it? Luckily everyone is safe.

@@FactZone-sl5lt I've heard that many ships, especially in Asia, are sometimes operated by crewmen, so the qualified person can take a rest.

The earth is covered 75% water. Things like this prove how useless humans can be.

I don't get why these ships crash. If the captain suddenly falls ill or asleep surely there is someone else to notice and step in
Have a small sailing boat and find out yourself 😊
Idc what they say QM2 NEVER DIES
Wow that ship right at 9:05 destroyed that road the second it touched
8:14 Dutch woman shouting and swearing😂
I was wondering what she was saying . . . Then I realized that I didn't need subtitles. It was pretty easy to guess what she was saying.

I think there's a LOT of heavy drinking that goes on in this industry.
Most of the passengers probably ship their pants
I wish that woman would stop mentioning her "Gash"
What happened to paddy 😂.... PADDY,!!!!!!
One of my favorite things about these videos are the people that are too damn stupid to realize their life is in extreme danger.
Only when facing danger do people feel love for this life
That sounds all sweet and poetic, but if someone can't feel love for life without being in danger, then they have some serious mental health problems to work out.
And now they are launching a load of BIG minimum crew ships commanded by remote control !! Thank "F" I don't work off shore anymore!!
8:53 ...yeah, there's something wrong with the ship captain, but there's also something wrong with that bridge too
I’d like to know what happened to the captains of these ships. They would have had to be put into early retirement…you’d think.
headline should be ; How Captains got fired.
Biggie Smalls was right: "Mo' money, mo' problems." 👋 💰
The biggest disaster in this video is some of the "camera" work.Yech.

The ship launch went as planned and it clearly not the 1st they'd launched.
And the ship didn´t sink....I can see that..🖖
Hello Allstate does my homeowners insurance cover being hit by a boat?
Why there is no brake in ship . there must be one turbine to pull ship from back side and two sides also to check the movement of ship .

Listen very closely at 2:32. Funny stuff.
I can't even imagine being on a boat, ship, with these idiots as captains.
So many miscalculations and damage!
I thought that the drunkenness of sailors was a myth. These videos disprove my beliefs.
Ship collisions are owing to terrible incompetence, no respect for the sea & shipping.
I think the ship captains should have to be drug tested every 2 hours, crazy.
They must have Stevie Wonder at the helm.
Terrible camera work makes these painful to watch. I couldn't do it.
