It's funny because the always on screen and the extra 1 mm are the things I DO NOT like about the 8, so I'll be getting the SE. Great review, thanks!!!
I’ve been going from determined getting 8 because ultra has too much for my use, to swayed to get the ultra because it’s the best looking one, to considering se 2 because of almost the same spec on paper as 8 and ultra, to back to 8 because of fall/crash detection without the ultra price tag, to watching dozens of comparison videos like this.
Contrary to all youtubers who get paid or get royalties by apple, 1mm difference does not make any difference nor makes it worth it for the price. Just go for the SE or Series 7. Save the extra cash.
I bought the new Apple Watch SE2. I don’t need the added health features and I am enjoying it. Always on display is the only feature that I would have liked on the SE2.
I just goit mine few days ago and I agree AOD would be nice but honestly I don't mind not having it. I think the SE2 is a great value and we are only really missing a few features which honestly don't change the overall experience for me at least. Edit: the screen does look nicer for sure on the Series 8 but its no biggie, I only ever look at my watch when I get a notification, I never really stare at it for longer than few mins.
I just got my first Apple Watch. I got the SE at Costco, on sale $40 off. $199 total cost 40 mm. Love it. I’ve also found Apple watch bands at TJ Max for $14.99 instead of $49.
Bought the SE 2 two weeks ago. My first ever Apple Watch. The only thing I miss is always-on display, nevertheless, this is one amazing and beautiful tech on my wrist.
Hey please tell me I don't have an iphone but my father does and I want apple Watch but don want to buy iphone so can i go for it and pair it with my fathers phone and then can use it after pairing without the requirement of an iphone again or it will require?
Nice! I’m debating on getting the SE2 as my first Apple Watch too (formerly with fitbit for 8yrs)! My goal is to see if I like enough to possibly upgrade to the new watch in the Fall. U still enjoying the watch, and is not having the always-on display a big deal? Ty!
@@BraddysReagent Hey there! You can pair it with your dad's phone but you have to be in close proximity with it or it won't work because it's paired through bluetooth. It can still tell time but that's it.
@@jesusguerrero6385 Hey there! I still love the watch. Absolutely no regrets. In fact, the more I use it the more I like it. It works seamlessly with my iPhone. As for always on display, yeah I wish I had it. It's not a deal breaker but still bugs me a little. If always on is important to you and If you can afford it, get the Series 8. My next upgrade will be with always on display. Have a good one!
Strongly considering getting my finace a Apple watch. Looking at this video just gave me more of a better idea of which one to purchase. I'm leaning more towards the SE, it's her first smart watch, I like the features, the price and the functionality of the SE. 👍🏾👍🏾
Y’all not realizing that always on display means shorter battery life. Besides… isn’t everyone always nagging about privacy…??? Sii if the Display is always on… that means people sitting next to you can just be ease dropping on your business all the time. Besides on the SE and older models you just bring the watch up to your view and the screen goes on to see the time.
Romanos were an ancient people who inhabited the Italian peninsula from the 8th century BC to the 5th century AD. They were renowned for their advancements in engineering, architecture, and art. They left behind a huge legacy of monuments, roads, and cities that still stand today.
i opted for the SE. Black. SO + defib + temp are of no interest to me. I use the SE for office workflows, read emails and messages, etc. I use the dictation for composing, so keyboard not an issue. Its a great buy.
I was considering getting the SE2 as my first Apple Watch, but decided to get the non-cellular Nike Series 7 instead. Reasons included always on, dust resistance, non-plastic back and fast charging. I think I made the right decision, even though it was more expensive.
1st time having a Apple Watch . Trying to decide between the SE (would only be paying $15 a month ) or the Series 8 ( about $35) both cellular the only reason I'm not 100% for SE is no keyboard 😩 . I don't care for all the extra health . I'll be using it for the basics lol. What would you recommend?
Excellent recommendation, bro. Can't wait for the battery drain test, as it helps many people decide which watch to buy. My suggestion would be if you can catch up with a series 7 at a price of se model, that will be a killer deal.
SE for the win. I have the 44 mm cellular version for free just have to pay 10$ or 15 $ a month depending on plan. I was gonna get the ultra put that’s how my per month as the phone plus service. I’m good
Well thought out and informative vid, thank you. I have just updraded to a series from a series 4 and am happy with the larger screen and extra bells and whistles.
I have an iPhone 13 and the SE2 and S8 works best for that model iPhone. The S9 works best with the iPhone 15. Some of the watches features won't work with an iPhone 13 or less.
is always on display is must have feature? by the way, i have iphone xs max and i do wear mask when travelling outside. my phone can't unlock FaceID with face mask on sadly, so i think unlocking with apple watch would be a great feature for me. So SE 2022 or the 8 then?
Great video, thank you. I just broke my series 2 (yeah, it's been a while) and need to replace it. It's the SE 2 for me for sure. Also, love the Tim Apple shoutout.
I'm new to the Apple Watch, so I'll probably get the SE 2nd gen. just to give it a try and because of the price. If I had $$ to burn, I would go for the series 8.
I don't understand the 18 hours of battery life and being able to measure sleep pattern, if your charging over night or even every other night you are not getting consistent messieurs of your sleep
I am tempted to buy the 8. Coming from a garmin, is it worth it? It looks so cool and I can have smooth pairing with my first iphone which is the 14 promax.
It’s a very good watch but if you can find an Apple Watch 7 on sale then definitely get that as it may save you a lot of money and is essentially the exact same thing just without a blood oxygen sensor
I got my SE 2022 last 11.11 and I just saw that battery percentage is now 99%. Is that normal? I only charged it once a day and ensuring as much as possible not getting discharged 0%. Always charge at 30 to 100 always
@@Aflo32 makes perfect sense. Bought in early November, and within a month the battery health has dropped 1%. And has been charged daily from 30% to 100%.
No one cares about extra health features…1 mm and the always on display is alright….for the difference I think the 44mm SE cellular is a much better deal than any other Apple Watch
Overpriced af for 18h of battery life. Not to mention a real apple watch band costs as much as another smart watch from another brand. Just like their phones, nothing amazing at a super premium price.

I had an Ultra and sold it because it is too thick and annoying! I am stuck between 8 and SE2 now.
@Martin great input actually. Since I workout everyday and also track my sleep. Series 8 it is then. Thank you for the idea, my friend.

I couldn’t stand the massive bezel on the SE, and no AOD. Upgraded to the 8.

@@michaelwoolcock5600Hi, is this the SE2? If so, did u have the watch on low power mode and not use for fitness? Thnx!
Do people find the back of the SE makes their wrist sweaty? I don’t need extra features but worried about that composite material.
