    I grew up around stoners and hippies. You know what they weren't? Bigoted jerks. They were very peaceful, accepting, and preached, 'Make love, not war.' Billy Jack was a one man army, demonstrating that peace was impossible without war. Perhaps, the finest example of the Human Condition. One I shall never forget.

    Tom Laughlin was trained in Jungian psychology and that comes out in this film like when he has his vision in the desert, when he talks to the elder towards the end of this excerpt and when he counsels the kids about violence as he is coming down from the mountain.

    Tom, being a True American is the mythological root of the Dream of Sensoria, the High Priestess of The Apaches. It us only Tom Horn who is the Only One 2 connect with the Apaches more than any White Brother. All because he spoke their language, really loved all their women, sang & played their music with his Mighty Voice & Penetrating Trumpet. He is also legend amidst the Veil of The Great Apaches. It is clear that Peace within One Self there is The Sound of True Harmony (Light) over Shadow, the Echo of Light's Vibration within The Chief Child Self. Sense Sensorial!

    I was there then ; and I am still here now in 2022. As much as I admired Billy Jack as a sort of western version of Bruce Lee, I struggled to find exactly what he was 'fighting for'. I made sure my children grew up without these biases and prejudices. They are happy, normal and well-adjusted. We celebrate mixed-racialy wedded couples and grand-children in our family. I suppose the MAIN POINT of all these videos is to 'teach your children love and acceptance'. Just remember that vengeance (reciprocal is VIOLANCE) never will end or solve the problem. My family filed a Redress Petition before the US Congress in the early 1800's for mob violence and loss of property AND loss of lives in Missouri . Congress has yet to rule! Beware Missouri! The US Supreme Court will yet rule against you and I will come to reclaim my G_G_Grand-father's 160 acre farm. Think not? Consider the rude awaking of of RvW

    • @biffroberts1007
      @biffroberts1007 6 лет назад +7

      I believe the title was "Billy Jack Goes To Washington" There was another movie before that one called "The Trial Of Billy Jack" but I think this clip was from "Billy Jack Goes To Washington" There were 4 Billy Jack movies in all. "Born Losers" where Billy goes after a motorcycle gang. The 2nd movie was "Billy Jack" where he protects the Freedom School. The 3rd movie was "The Trial Of Billy Jack" where it picks up where the last movie left off, with Billy getting out of jail & then the last of the 4 movies is, "Billy Jack Goes To Washington." You can buy the complete 4 movie set on a 4 dvd collection. I already have mine, though its been a while since I watched em. Hope this info helps answer your question.

      When a government leader classifies humans with races and religions, he is pitting one against another. He shouldn't even be mentioning that nonsense in a speech. The word for Americans is unity, United States. Learn about a leader before voting.

      ThrummerOfLove It's easy to criticize 40 years after the movie was made, but this was a low budget film. Laughlin cowrote the script, directed it and starred in it. He had little formal training. The Wright brothers made a crappy little plane, but look what was developed from their start. This "good guy" image was developed by Laughlin when no one else had thought of it. True, the "Lone Ranger" existed, the "Green Hornet" was around and "Superman" started in 1938, but "Billy Jack" was unique.
