- The three milk cake (tres leches cake) has gained a lot of popularity over the past months. This absolutely finger-licking cake in an economical budget is perfect for an evening snack or a party with your friends😉 This light, airy sponge cake can be your way to impress others with your skills. Why buy expensive store-made cakes, when you can treat your family with the BEST three milk cake? Its the little things that matter...❤
THREE MILK CAKE
SPONGE:
-Flour 1/2 cup ( 4 oz or 8 tbsp) Sugar 1/2 cup (100 gms or 4oz or 8 tbsp)
-Baking powder 1 tsp (optional)
-Vanilla essence 1 tsp
-Eggs 4
THREE MILK MIXTURE:
1 can of evaporated milk
1 can of sweetend condened milk
1 cup of whole milk or 1 pkt of fresh cream
FROSTING:
100 gms of cream
200 gms of chocolate
METHOD👇🏻
-Preheat the oven for 15 mins at 350F or 180C.
-Separate the egg yolks and egg whites.
-Start beating egg whites until light and fluffy.
-While beating, add egg yolks one by one.
-Next, add sugar and vanilla essence in the mixture until it is light and foamy.
-Now add baking powder (optional) to the flour.
-Gradually add flour in batches and fold with light hands until it is all mixed together.
-Pour the batter into 8 inch greased pans.
-Bake it for 12 min at 350F or 180C.
-Let the cake cool for about 20 minutes and remove to a platter (make sure the platter has high edges because the milk mixture will run out the sides as you pour it on top)
-Pierce the cake all over the top with a fork or skewer and set aside.
* In a large measuring cup, whisk together the 1 cup of cream, sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk, pour this mixture slowly all over the top of the cake so that it all soaks in the tender sponge.
* Let that sit for a about 20 to 30 minutes or for the best result keep it overnight in fridge so that the milk mixture really soaks in
* For making the ganache pour the hot cream over chocolate and let it sit for 30 secS and stir until it combines. Cool it at room temperature.
* Spread the Ganache all over the top of the cake and decorate with chocolate or coconut shavings.

Asalam o Alikum to all....I once tried Aunty Munaver's cake, me and my family loved it loads , but as we live in Quetta so it's not easily accessible to us . I was randomly searching for her recipe for this particular cake, so I found ur video and followed ur recipe. And the results astound me and my family, the texture and taste both were exactly the same!!!.....so I would like to thank you alot for such a superb recipe.......alot of prayers from my parents, and I would definitely look forward for more scrumptious recipes!!!!

F. Khan which chocolate have you used for frosting??
@@khushi227 I used dairy milk chocolate (for flavour) and for that dark colour ,i used coco powder.
@@khushi227 since I used dairy milk chocolate in the ganache so I omitted sugar from the sponge ...... it still tasted yummy!

Asaalamo alaikum.. i was badly craving for 3 milk cake after leaving Pakistan so i searched various recipes pakistan version i found your recipe.. i made this yesterday and it turned out heavenly.. husband loved it.. i was reluctant at first because it didn't use oil or butter.. but i followed it step by step and results were amazing.. i haven't had aunty munavers cake but i have had hobnobs and delizia's and this one tasted like delizia's.. thank you so much for sharing. 🙂

How long did u beat it for ? Any timeline and at what setting , the hard peaks when do they form, any tips and tricks ?
on the highest setting for about 7 to 8 minutes. there shouldn't be any kind of grease in the bowl you mixed in

So I made this cake but it turned out too sweet , plz add condensed milk half tin. And also evaporated milk half tin. Add a little milk to this mixture as it tends to get too thick when you refrigerate it. 💕

Hi, I am looking forward to making this today. One question I have is that, we have cane sugar( its white sugar but the crystals are slightly bigger) available and I am worried that if I use that it won't disolve in with the eggs. I usually powder it and than add in baking recipes. If I use powdered sugar will it affect the texture of the cake? Please let know asap. Thanks.
You just grind the sugar at your home and use

Use olpers or nestle cream....or you can use whipping cream too...
I live in Karachi so I use to buy whipping cream from imtiaz super market....or you can buy it from daraz...but in daraz it's a little expensive....and for ganache just use normal cream...it will be fine...

Hey, I'm a bit confused, do we have to use 1 cup each for condensed milk, evaporated milk and cream? And from where did you get evaporated milk?
we need to use one can of each which is usually 354ml. its easily available everywhere, theres no specific brand i use

you will need to get a bigger pan. just increase 5 to 10 minutes. hope this helps

Hi.. I make tres leches too.. and it's the same recipe.. but ur platter looks clean while mine gets the milk mixture seeped out even though I let it soak overnight..
Problem being I cannot serve it in a cake form, so I bake in the dish I plan to serve it in.
May I know what's ur trick to keep the platter so clean? Do u let it soak in another container and then shift it to the final platter??
you'll find the milk in the platter no matter what. mine has it too.

try beating it really well. make the egg whites really foamy. if the batter gets flat your cake will too. hope this helps
