The final Masters for Peter Oosterhuis with CBS. One of the best golf commentators ever along with a spectacular European Tour career in the 70s. He’s rarely mentioned as one of the best golfers to never win a Major
Considering everyone hits these big power fades on tour now and they rarely try any other kind of shot… no right-hander is ever going to get the ball anywhere near there
Fearless from Bubba! 3 shots clear playing the 15th, he's blocked out by trees. Instead of playing the percentages he goes for a risky 2nd shot over the water anyway. Very gutsy!
@@thegrayart with this difference: here, he made the right decision by going back to a comfortable distance to drop, and salvaged a single-bogie. But in 2016, he used the too-close dropzone....and ended up with a quad-bogie. This is what's difficult to explain.
Revisiting a lot of these Masters final rounds. The child being the first to the green was amazing, given he was too young to travel in 2012. Also, that Spieth interview… he was CHASING that thing. Said “yeah man this was fun, but I’m hungry. I want to WIN”. My next masters final round video will have him in a Green Jacket!
At approximately 1:26:30 Nick Faldo comments that the player "just visualizes the shot, and then hits it. No Fuss." Consider that Faldo was the fussiest player ever. Ever.
Look at Bubba after that drive on 13. He is doing everything possible to maintain a straight face. He can barely contain himself. He KNOWS , it's OVER.
Boy speith is some player, was a steward at Birkdale when he won the open there and then last 6 holes he played were something else.....he's just a reason to watch golf, very exciting and sometimes all over the place but his recovery shots! Brilliant
Steve Parish I wanted Jordan to win so bad. 2015 was epic!2016...still think about it everyday😕. I do think Jordan will own more green jackets than anyone in history when it’s all said and done.
Yet another LIV member with lifetime exemption. These Masters Final Round Broadcast videos that have taken over my recommended are just filled with them!
The 13th was lengthened to 510 yards from 485 in 2002. It hasn’t been lengthened since but they could definitely stretch it out more in the coming years. The 13th actually played 465 up until the 94’ Tournament
That... is... incredible... Jack Nicklaus, 17 years later... Seve Ballesteros, 17 years later... Tiger Woods, 17 years later... almost Jordan Spieth... and who will it be 17 years later?....
This stands out as maybe the year that got away from Rickie. Lips out twice on 2nd hole from 8 feet away. If that drops he’s tied for the lead, would’ve had the momentum of starting with 2 birdies with everything in front of him
You know how we like to put bets down. I want to bet that Bubba’s got anther Masters in Him. Man I’d like him to win another green jacket. Then he could give Nick Faldo a wink and say hello buddy.
It's funny bc after Tiger dominated in 97, they ended up putting a trap or trees where all his misses were. They put the trap on 5 and moved the tee back also. Tiger never does well on 5. Wonder what took so long to change 13? That's not even a par 5 tbh. 510 is a par 4 for these guys. I usually don't like a whole lot of changes to such a traditional course but this is definitely the right move. Kudos to Augusta National for that.
The ball wasn't in the hazard anymore. The grounding rule is only there to stop players getting an idea of ground conditions before the shot. Same as bunkers.
just near the beginning of this re-run, there's at least several comments on the two 50 year ages--if their age mattered they wouldn't be competing. if there's a problem, then have a cut-off age were seniors league starts.
Greller gave Speith the wrong number on 12! It was 153. He told him 153 hole initially and then changed it and said "Excuse me, 41 cover and 49 hole." Spieth came up about 4 yards short of perfect. Shame.
The big three is hard to approve in the correct terms of how stuff works in my town about how Jordan Spieth won as well as how Tiger Woods won a few times and years ago in the business well.
Not even close, Watson always took the club a little inside and always had a very long swing, Blixt takes it back with clubhead a little outside of his hands halfway back and has a 3/4 swing. Watson bows his left wrist a little at the top Blixt's ,effectively wrist is a little cupped.
3:14:10- All you need to know about American golf. You Yanks just like to "grip and rip" but in team play always come out on the losing end. But go ahead and keep doing it, and we'll hold onto the Ryder Cup for the next 100 years. LOL!
Watson is incredible. He’s a great champion. Love his emotion after his wins

It’s impossible not to be happy for a guy like Bubba. He’s like a modern day lefty Seve. Just raw talent and skill. Fantastic player.

Bubba my favorite golfer.
When Bubba wins everyone cries.
Toughest game in the world. It was anybody's match all the way.
Hats off to the 2 rookies and Bubba of course.
Bubba's drive on 13 was the sickest drive ever hit in professional golf.

@masters you should put placepoints at every hole so you can decide where to go to see certain times
The post round interview with Spieth, my thoughts when I saw this live in 2014 were "this kid's 20 going on 35," and I think he's proven me right.

The tees were as far back as they could go. Augusta bought land to extend 13. The 11th hole is longer and is a Par 4.
