- Pick a name, they are ALL the same radio! Actually not a bad one either! Comes with SIX (yes SIX) frequency bands available, counting FM radio and Aircraft band (you cannot transmit on those, RX only) and fully usable from 136.000 through 520.000!
Extra knob fro changing frequency OR memory channels, nice flex antenna, AND USB C charging capability.

I like the idea of having different radios for different reasons. My wife does not.
I have about 40 radios all together, I keep them where my wife used to sleep. 🤷♂️

Hi. Thank you for your great review. I bought the Abbree brand. Everything works fine, I just can't find a way to scan a memory sector... For example, from memory 20 to 30 where I have the aeronautics loaded. You can help me with that?

Transmits on non ham bands. Even the military UHF band. A big no no
will it receive local police & fire frequencies
i have ordered the 830 too, there is a better software to order in the web but you can not give names for the Channels :/
This is a nice looking radio, and multi-band is always welcome, especially if the commercial, GMRS and MURS bands are unlocked because I need to access all three.
It is good to see an actual channel knob. That is something that annoys me as someone who uses these occupationally.
My radio is on my belt, or in a chest pocket, or even sometimes in a back pocket...
I also frequently wear gloves.
It is HIGHLY inconvenient to have to take the radio out and fiddle with up/down BUTTONS, even if they are side buttons. Especially in critical situations.
So much easier to just reach for the top of the radio and spin the knob.
And those are nice tall knobs too would be easy to switch.
USB-C is definitely a plus, and thank God someone figured out that you should COVER it!

Mine after the update no longer appears the OFF option of the CTC/DCS this radio is all buggy
I have NOT updated mine and have no issues? Can you go back to the original pre update setting????
When you are in menu for ctc/dc press star on key pad it should give you option
Which menu options number is for language? I received my in Chinese and don't know how to switch it to English.
Does it TX from 136-520 continuous?
No. It will transmit on 2 meter and basically every other band you can receive, sort of, but most of the other bands will transmit about 1mw of power meaning it's basically useless on anything but 2 meter and 70cm if you're very close to the repeater.
No information on 1.25 meters is basic

A little slow but works fine! I live close to an airport and get air traffic! Fun when you are bored!
