Is it possible to use the wifi card from the laptop? I have Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 which some people are saying that it is good for Kali Linux tasks, but I can not connect it in Kali.
@@innotechtips everything's fine now but my windows machine Getting disconnected from wifi after I select my adapter from virtual box USB's setting and for that reason virtual machine can't connect to wifi as well.
@@syedbarkath6960 The WiFi adapter can only be connected to one device at a time (either the host machine or the virtual machine). That could be the reason you are dropping connection on the host. The other thing you may want to check is the networking settings for the virtual machine - ensure you are using "Bridged Adapter" option and not NAT.
@@ctl_leo It worked momentarily, when i restarted the VM it was back to being greyed out, so i bought a USB and now i use it to run kali. Havent had any issues so far.
Hey there! Did you try unplugging and plugging it back in? That usually does the trick. Also, it could be a compatibility issue...What kind of chipset is your wireless adapter?
@@innotechtips super amazing, great Was wondering if it is an actual hardware or a software kind of setting plus the network jargon terms in virtualbox were a bit fuzzy for me Your great man and welcome

Is there a way to use the host's wifi adapter insted of an USB one? Thanks for your video!
I haven't tried it
I'm not sure if it's possible on virtualbox, but in QEMU you can pass any pci device (including the wifi adapter) to the guest machine
my guess is you are using an external network adapter, is there a way to use the inbuilt network card thats being used by the host machine.
I didn't have luck using the internal adapter, that's why I ended up using an external one
We need to have a USB wireless adopter, right ?

Thanks a lot bro it was very helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I haven't had a chance to try that setup. I only have a desktop in my lab environment
U need to use another wifi adapter for virtual machine
Amazing tutorial bro
Great tutorial well explained
does it have to be a usb wireless adapter? will it work with my laptop"s onboard wireless adapter?
I'm not sure if it will work...I haven't tried it with a laptop's onboard wireless adapter. I'm using a desktop in my lab environment.
you can do it in QEMU + virt-manager
Nope, can't mon wifi. Only wired connection. What settle in the host? Wifi connected, not connected, by wifi or ethernet?
The WI-FI adapter turns off when kali-linux is turned on in virtualbox
That could be because the Wi-Fi adapter can only be connected to one device at a time which can be either the host or the virtual machine
i am also getting the same issue, how we can resolve this?
