This was a perfect video. Replaced the actuator on my 2005 Tundra using the steps in this video. Saved me a lot of money and helped me resolve a door lock issue I have had for at least 10 years. Took about 2 hours.
@@methus57 the actuator would hesitate a bit when pressing the driver’s side door lock button, causing me to have to press it 2-3 times. No biggie, but that meant I couldn’t program wireless key fobs, so I had been using a physical key to lock/unlock my doors for years. Replaced the actuator for $25 and bought/programmed 2 new key fobs for $20.
Very helpful on my ‘06 Tundra drivers side latch assembly. Best detailed disassembly/reassembly instruction out of several others, turned out great. Thank you
Just a note to everybody here, I just discovered it also helps a lot if you order the correctpart! Duh. I got everything uninstalled, and then realized I had a driver’s side latch in my hand, and not a passenger’s.
Outstanding video. Articulate description with on-screen labels makes this very easy to follow. I did this on my 06 Sequoia and this video saved me some time. Thank you!
thank you for this video. my door lock on my 2003 Tundra stopped working a few years ago. Slowly i have been repairing parts that have failed or flat out broke, i.e rear window latch, tail gate won't open, window motor on driver side etc etc. the door lock is now on my to do list. thank you for the detail explanation and instruction.
Thank you very much for this video. I followed this video step-by-step to fix the front door actuator on my 2006 Toyota Sequoia. Everything went well and everything‘s working perfectly. Thank you again.
I replaced my latch and actuator because both were bad, now the latch works as it is supposed to but the drivers door lock does the exact opposite of the other three locks when using the electronic lock buttons. And if you use the lock barrels in the doors it no longer locks all four doors. The video is amazing however.
Great video, if it wouldn't have be for the impossible to reach/ bolt it would have been a joy. Thank you. And I had two black cats helping, not just one :)
Thanks for the kind words! I’m jealous of your two helpful cats, mine just rolled around and preened herself for the camera as you can see. Really need to put her to work next time 😤 Jk! I’m glad you found the video helpful! Thanks for watching!
This damn 🤬 thing is stuck shut on my 2001 tundra drivers door and door wont open now even with force, Im furious this cussing thing, will this process to replace it work with the damn thing stuck closed? Makes me 🤬 furious I dont have time to deal with this 💩
