10 out of 10 on the antenna repair Chuck. You'd be horrified, but we used to control heat around something like that with asbestos paste! I would have welded or brazed a piece in and lead filled it in those days using that mushed-up asbestos and water paste to keep distortion down.
Once again Chuck, great attention to detail. The factory lack of primed surfaces on all the "unseen" areas guarantees rusting, particularly if a car has been well used...

Chuck I used the trick to remove the broken bolts for the seat runners and it took some fettling but did get it done ✅
When you spot weld, try using air to chill it instead of a wet rag. The benefit is no water on bare metal, works just as good as a wet rag.
