Gas vehicles were outlawed, you can't even buy one unless its for off-track use and you have to have an EPA license

You can power an EV with solar panels. Good luck powering a gas car without gasoline. And good luck getting that without an oil refinery.
Here's another scenario for you - half the US is overwhelmed by rising sea levels, 400m citizens losing their homes, jobs, agricultural land and living hand-to-mouth, which political party will you blame? Or will you be too hungry to think about politics?

Cuba was once a friend to the U.S. and very wealthy because of that. All of Cubas 1950’s infrastructure was built with U.S. dollars and U.S. tourism. They were poised to be the next Vegas. Then they teamed up with Russia to point Nukes at the U.S. Russia promised Cuba the world if only they’d allow Russia to park Nukes right in Americans backyards. This was called the Cuban missile crisis. It almost ended the world. If that had never happened, Cuba would be one of America’s richest allies because they’re so close and thier county is so beautiful. Such a waste.

My wife and I just returned to Toronto, Canada from vacation in Santa Maria Cuba last week. Wow that was close. The lack of infrastructure down there is frightening. No doubt the hotel resort we stayed at is plunged into darkness. Its like 1905 rural Mississippi down there. No public phones, there is nowhere to get juice, food, medicine, no bank machines, nowhere at all. Just nondescript hotels that only sell rum in US dollars and water if its available, which I am sure by now its all gone. I only hope that our fellow Canadian travelers we left behind are safe? but in that heat and humidity? I love Cuba but after my fifth trip, and first since 2018. I could see how things had gone down hill. Personally, I am never going back, you could just feel how vulnerable you were

@@adn267 Nah, there's a whole world out there besides the USA that could help them. Not every country goes by the USA's imposed rules. It's their system that they refuse to change at fault. Any socialist country ends up like this... every time. And some people want that here... crazy!!
