Unlike previous ones, this Godzilla doesn’t feel “alive” he moves slowly, his eyes have no movement whatsoever, and he barely responds to attacks. The creators did a great job designing this Godzilla
The reason why Godzilla doesn't react to most attacks is because he doesn't have ears. The reason is that Godzilla is the apex of life and there is nothing to be wary of.
Imagine waking up one day, and your skin is on fire. But not just the skin, but your muscles, and nerves too. Everything is on fire, and it hurts. It hurts so much, so you do the only thing you can think to do. You run outside, to try and find a way to put yourself out. But when you try to, it doesn't work, and you realize your burning so hot, that the water your using is immediately steaming up, thus preventing you from putting yourself out. So, then you do the only other natural instinct. You run outside, looking for help. But there's no one. No one to help you, no one to put you out of your misery. No one, except you and some ants.
Yeah, and whenever "Who will know" song always have a true deep meaning for Shin Gojira, Shin had his body hurting like hell, and he can't or do anything to stop his whole body, his body feels hell.
He didn’t ask to be created, it was our doing that made him, due to nuclear waste being dumped into the ocean, Shin Godzilla was made. His entire body is mutated and he’s in a constant state of pain, we don’t know if he has an ulterior motive, or is just attacking Japan for no reason. This film was made to warn people about the possible dangers of dumping nuclear waste into the ocean, and was a nod to the Fukushima nuclear disaster of 2011.
Normally the uncanny valley is reserved for humans, but this Godzilla is so physically fucked up it still manages to trigger the uncanny valley in me despite not really looking like a human at all. It's like a lava flow that got turned into a living thing, and is suffering the entire time because of that.
@@King_Kohli69 no M8. I don't mean it for it's animation entirely. The effect of the atomic breath. Minus one has a massive nuke blast with the shockwave of one. Shin shoots out a massive fire till it becomes a straight laser. I like the shockwave nuke over the laser
The thing is that this guy was just a microorganism, not a god nor a monster, who was forced to evolve and mutate due to nuclear waste, all his bones keep colliding into his own flesh, every second, his flesh tears apart and regenerates itself, his blood is boiling, his roar is not a roar but screams of agony, he is not evil, just trying to project itself, each of his thoughts is to die but it can't, even if one part of flesh exists then it would regenerate back, as the director said, shin godzilla will never stop evolving, meaning that he has endless forms and he can evolve into such a monster to destroy the whole universe, this looks scary but it can get more scary as it evolves, it so sad to see this microorganism peacefully living in his microscopic world turning into a monster...

Seen in the second form having huge fish eyes, red gills, seemingly scaleless brown body, and undeveloped front legs/hands. Interestingly the irl frilled shark’s teeth have a bizarre shape somewhat resembling Godzilla’s dorsal plates!
After coming across the post from Twitter, parallel between ShinGoji and MaiGoji is indeed hilarious, this Godzilla is absolutely nightmarish looking but don't really want to hurt nobody until he is provoked while MaiGoji can look derpy on some angle but want to see human extinct
Imo this is what Godzilla or Gojira would be like if this thing was truly real. A threat doesn't need to be fast, for it to be terrifying. This version of Godzilla is a slow moving indestructible wall of nature that cannot be killed or destroyed no matter what you throw at it or hit it with and even if you manage to hurt it, it'll just instantly heal the damage done and retaliate x10 harder than what you managed to do. A fast moving threat is of course something to be feared, but actually see the threat coming at you at a slow pace like walls closing in on you and knowing you're helpless snd powerless to do anything against it, is a whole different type of fear and dread to witness and feel. Everything that this Godzilla is doing is out of defense and desperation. It's in constant agony because of its anatomy which forces it to evolve in mere seconds, skipping hundreds of thousands if not millions of years of evolution to adapt to its situation. And in some ways i imagine that when Godzilla is unleashing his atomic laser beam it's not doing it to destroy anything on purpose but it's doing so because of the amount of radiation heat that it constantly keeps building up which is more than likely hurting him, so he has to release it to keep it from melting him from the inside out, but still uses it as a defense tool only when necessary because of the pain that comes with unleashing it, just scorching his insides and mouth. The fact this thing is meant to keep evolving and mutating and healing itself from everything that hurts it, is pure terrifying. This Godzilla is essentially evolution incarnate, and defeating this thing is impossible. No amount of firepower on Earth is enough to destroy him. If you think nuking it will work, that'll just make it worse. A creature that is basically a giant walking nuclear reactor, will just absorb all the radiation and fire power from a nuke and use it to further enhance its anatomy and destructive power to an unfathomable level. Just being NEAR him at a certain distance is enough to inflict some serious fatal radiation doses because of how much radioactive energy he emmits from his body. If this Godzilla is supposed to endlessly evolve, he would eventually grow to be an omnipotent god of the whole universe, being everything and everywhere all at once. There can be nothing more terrifying than that.
Firmly disagree. This franchise has lived on for so long and is as popular as it is because of it's ability to change, to be different. In one movie, Godzilla is a horrifying, nightmarish threat. In another, he's fighting Kong. Neither of these interpretations of him are superior or better, but both have their own audiences. If Goji was exclusively portrayed as something terrifying, well then, you'd lose the other audiences. The only people you'd be pleasing are the ones who like seeing him be a big, scary monster, but even then, they'd get bored of it; if you're served the same meal ever day, eventually you're going to want something else. Also the more action-esque Godzilla movies fucking rule
I just Love Shin in every way possible. His powers are off the chart. At the time, i hadn't seen anything like him I just wish Toho would do a sequel 😔 😫 😪 to this fantastic movie. The ending with his tail and what was about to happen back there left so many possibilities open

The face of the monster is terrifying, maybe the most terrifying from all the versions until now (2024). The fact that he shoots the laser-beam also from his tail was a bit weird at the beginning, but I got used to it. The music is fantastic and the dark eeriness of the whole scene. And the beams he shoots from his back are just totally fantastic and look awesome. Oh and the color palette of the beam-effects is so satisfying and beautiful to watch. I'm not a big Godzilla-fan but this version is truly interesting. Both serious but also game-like at the same time.

w cameraman for somehow not dying 💀
Fun fact at the very end Godzilla actually isn't dead. It's just frozen and the freeze isn't permanent so one day in the future. Godzilla will come back that will make for a banger movie though.
0:39 Just look at how durable he is😮
(For those who don't understand) He only roars when he's suffering that means these gunshots and missiles pain was nothing to him...
Edit:Lets be real Shin Godzilla (4th form) claps Godzilla 2014.
godzilla 2014 claps lmao his breath was only 200k and can destroy shin body with a second also shin godzilla get
damaged by just a bomb from b2 spirit
1:49 ここからの絶望感がやばい
Shin Godzilla Trough Out his Entire Movie : STOP ATTACKING MEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Godzilla is very eldritch in concept. The people growing out of its tail after its frozen...the chunks of bloody meat with eyeballs from the removed scenes..its overall zombie like behavior...this Godzilla is truly terrifying.
it looks so realistic😭🙏
……ok don’t fight me for this
I like shin Godzilla better than minus one. I’m not saying I like shin Godzilla the movie better but I’m saying that I like shin Godzilla better than minus one. I like how untraditional shin is. Purple breath, creepy design, all untraditional. Minus one is more traditional but I still like shin better. But I like minus still
The shot of him in the middle of the city would be a cool wallpaper

Good to hear from you again thanks
It took me 7 years to realize that this version of Gojira doesnt even blink
He just keeps moving forward….
Until his enemies are destroyed
This Godzilla would have terrified me as a child.
I never noticed as badass as he looks, even in form 4, his eyes are still derped out and mindless
I imagine this version of Gojira is like Hisashi Ouchi - absorbed too much radiation and was in constant pain.
2:44 muito foda essas novss habilidades dele
Cameraman never dies
Shin Godzilla é o meu filme favorito do Godzilla!! 🥰
shin Godzilla is the most terrifying because he’s literally just a sick animal with no control over his actions it’s actually quite sad
It is @@Sora404X cause evolving to its own 8th form already the universe itself
On 1:44 he’s like bowser like NOTHING CAN STOP ME
What gets me is all the old showa and heisi sound effects
Um dos meus godzilla,s favoritos
my life would be much better if i didnt know this thing existed holy fuck thats terrifying
0:00 me coming back to see my server has been grifed.
Just finished watching -1.0
It and Shin are definitely the best Godzilla movies since Godzilla '54
もう夜の街で熱線吐くときもやは絶望越えて神々しさあるレベルでやばい(語彙力低下)
It’s better than normal Godzilla
Sabiam que em uma cena deletada do filme, o Shin Godzilla ia disparar o seu raio pra baixo, e então ele ia sair voando? (Ok, eu exagerei! Ele só dá um pulinho)
O filme iria de sério a galhofa bem rapido
A era showa ia gritar nessa hora kkkkkkk.
Why was Godzilla just standing there forever like he's constipated?
Because he has tons of radioactive magma solidified and blocked his butt. He's looking for a toilet.
It's hard to move at first when all your bones inside your body are crushed and destroyed by your own weight, that's why
1:53 me after eating lunchly
シン・ゴジラ、面白かったなぁ。
ブルーレイ観直すか。
When I look at his face it feels like he’s questioning everything around him and what’s happening inside his body he doesn’t show any real danger until they dropped those bombs on his back he’s just trying evolve but can’t properly do because of the radioactive waste he digested everything he did was in pure self defense.
Not the most aggressively evil, that would be Minus One. This is by far the scariest though. I would love to see a sequel.
Actually, this movie is Godzilla but the nature of the movie, is talking about the Japanese government apparatus, you can see the reviews of this movie. 😅
1:20 2016 was definitely the scariest year for all time
Fun fact Shin Godzilla can feel the bullets hitting him painfully but he can’t do anything all he can do is scream in his mind
Shin Godzilla is the best and he’s a little terrifying
I like both Shin Godzilla and Minus One Godzilla. But I prefer the suit-like movement over what we got in Minus-one.
Minus One was great, but Shin is still my favorite
The Laser Breath From Shin Gojira 2:07
Still the coolest Godzilla movie, IMO.
This Godzilla has the best power set along with the worst design. I love how he can spray concentrated lasers from his spines, tail, breathe flames, and lasers but I hate the fact that he looks like he has a severe case of arthritis in his arms.
I love the design because of how unnatural it looks and the severe case of arthritis does kinda fit with him being in constant pain
