I watched your review video of Proton Saga and I was inclined to choose it as well specially because of it’s safety features and hill assist. However, I chose Changan Alsvin in the end. And I’m so stunned after watching this video and feel so thankful that I didn’t book Proton. Because I booked it on 22nd May and I got my delivery on 27th August which was the tentative delivery they had promised me. I have even gotten my first 1000KM free service and inspection since I started driving. I feel so fortunate to have made this decision. I feel so sorry and even frustrated watching this video. I can’t even imagine your level of frustration. Because this was my first purchase of car in Pakistan as well. Praying you get your car soon.
Thanks for sharing your experience, which I think most of the customers are facing to varying extent but are not sharing or complaining. I am convinced that unless we speak up we would be exploited as in it happened Saga case. I am a business lawyer by profession and had book an MG HS In early February 2021. Last week I have filed a case against MG Pakistan in Islamabad for non-delivery of the booked vehicle, which has been delivered over the weekend. Despite delivery, I intend to take the case to its logical end. Lets raise our voices for our right!

You may make an english version and then share it with proton malaysia so they also could find out what their franchisee in pakistan are doing with their brand. This is not the fault of Proton Malaysia but a practice typical of our local businessmen. This can happen with any one of the foreign companies by their local partners. The worst build quality and paucity of safety features of the three big swindlers (Toyota, Suzuki, Honda) is a stark example of their corrupt practices. Above all the Government/ regulatory authorities are partner in the crimes.
It is directly the fauly of Proton Malaysia. Don they know when yhe plant will be ready? They have zero check on their local partner. Local partner is 100 to be blamed as well.

Customer experiences in Pakistan are unfortunately not a priority just yet. Adding on to your experience, - Junaid Jamshed (J.) never fulfilled an order, and failed to refund pkr 150,000. Filed a tax fraud on J. through Citizen Portal as well. -Another textile company in Karachi gave account details to transfer money, kept giving deadlines for delivery but just wouldn't saying they had not received the money. I arranged swift documents through bank (which show money trail all the way to recipient), and then they conceded. Two months delay. And then business community in pakistan wonders whats causing lack of growth in exports. Its incompetence and customer degradation at its worst in Pakistan. Hope you get the car, or the momey back end of this month.
I have a meeting with a the CEO of big part manufacturer & one of the owners of Pakistan Engineering (EX). In fact my department have a huge heavy machinery fleet and we have a meeting regarding them. During discussion I have put a question about Al-haj group because I was personally interested in proton. He replied that I have not any business with them but their reputation is poor among manufacturers and importers. They are not trusted people.
I was considering to book this car as a second car for my home. Your video is an eye opener for all the customers who have no idea what Al-Haj Group is doing with their genuine buyers. Shame on them.

Truly , you're the righteous person, these auto manufacturer needs to be sued & brought to the court of justice. Government should look into this matter,regulate and redefine it's auto industry policy based on a bigger context as well as futuristic approach. Our roads are filling with heavy traffic day by day, which is harder to manage & without standard infra structure/ checks, if same goes like this ; one Day people will have cars but no space on roads to drive on.
I booked Toyota yaris in November 2020 and get delivery date of February 2021, they deliver with 20 days delay in March and send the compensation check of 39,000/-

Today I am wise, so I am changing myself - Rumi, the system will not change, people will b very lucky even if they even get 50% of the amounts back from them, As a consumer I face this difficulty everyday from buying stoves to refrigerators etc, ppl are openly cheating and u can't do anything about it.
As a nation we are morally corrupt to our bones. We,the people, should demand strong consumer rights. We cheat and steal with immunity and our crooked/uneducated/self serving elected representatives don't want to change. I always recommended Al-Haj and FAW to people. But the way they have managed the whole Proton affair, I have serious doubts about success of Proton in Pakistan. Should Proton in Malaysia be worried about this fallout?
100 units were allowed but many companies including Proton didn't strictly complied to this rule. many of these New entrants sold way more than 100 CBUs. case in point MG; they sold about 1200-1500 CBUs whereas limit was only 100 so same is the case with Proton.
We booked proton saga in may 2021 and received a letter for full payment with almost 2 lac increased price in January 2022. 2 months have been passed since full payment done and believe me till date 15-03-2022 their dealership and company itself are saying it's not yet confirmed when our saga will be delivered.
You are the only youtuber in Pakistan who is sharing such issues, otherwise I have not seen any other RUclipsr sharing such issues. They only portray a rosy picture of all is well.
The simple solution to resolve ON issue to not let the car stay unregistered. A car should be registered in 1 week or 2 week max. The car shouldn't be allowed to come on road without being registered. The pre requisite for this is that the registration department is fast enough to register vehicles quickly.

TWO SUGGESTIONS (please read): Dont buy local cars. Everyone's circumstances are different, but if you can afford, go for imported. Since you travel to and fro from karachi, I suggest you visit JAN JAPAN. They have huge inventory and you will get your car right away. No need to beg. My father, his colleague, my mamu, they all bought their cars from Jan Japan. You're a very knowledgeable person hence you can maintain/service that imported cars privately because local dealers service centres are whole another lever of loot mafia. My father's hybrid axio's oil change with new air filter costs around 6k whereas my local siwft's oil change costs 11k from authorized dealership, 5k is just labour charges. One more thing, I also moved back to Pakistan from abroad and faced many obstacles. After suffering for 5 years I have realized that the system wont change, you have to adopt. DO AS THE ROMANS DO. So forget this 'doing the right thing' mindset. It will have zero effect on the system but you and your family will surely suffer. If you cant adopt (many cant), move back abroad. Thank you.

I booked proton x70 in Nov 2020. For Rs 5 lac booking , with delivery time Oct 2021 , Now they say expected delivery in February 2022 & asking for Rs 4 lac more by First week of November , R they reliable to deliver by Feb 21 ? Even They acted like jokers as proton company official congratulated me that I will now get 2022 model !!!!

Well now you know why people buy and trust Toyota Corolla and the rest of the tried and trested cars. Consumer protection only exists in law in Pakistan and I've never seen any practical application of it. Take it from me. Its a blessing in disguise. These cars were launched in the past in Pakistan but failed. Word of advise. Buy a Japanese model. Yes it is expensive but its worth it.

I am also a victim here I booked Proton Saga in May and delivery was promised in November, 2 weeks before I called my dealer ro check the status and was informed that its delayed. They are not giving any exact delivery date, no cooperation at all , I am really disappointed

You can import hardly driven like less than 5000KM. It's all about budget. People here have imported less than 1000KM driven as well.

100 units were allowed but many companies including Proton didn't strictly complied to this rule. many of these New entrants sold way more than 100 CBUs. case in point MG; they sold about 1200-1500 CBUs whereas limit was only 100 so same is the case with Proton.

Now they have also raised their price... Instead of giving benefit to customers they have getting same money in their pockets.
We booked proton saga in may 2021 and received a letter for full payment with almost 2 lac increased price in January 2022. 2 months have been passed since full payment done and believe me till date 15-03-2022 their dealership and company itself are saying it's not yet confirmed when our saga will be delivered.
You are the only youtuber in Pakistan who is sharing such issues, otherwise I have not seen any other RUclipsr sharing such issues. They only portray a rosy picture of all is well.
You have done a good job of sending a legal notice, you also ask your group to send more notices and claim the damages
The simple solution to resolve ON issue to not let the car stay unregistered. A car should be registered in 1 week or 2 week max. The car shouldn't be allowed to come on road without being registered. The pre requisite for this is that the registration department is fast enough to register vehicles quickly.
Shame on you PROTON 🖐️! We are very disappointed

3) پیٹرول کی ٹینکی میں زیادہ چیزیں رکھنے کی جگہ بنائی جاسکتی ہے ۔ تاکہ موبائل وغیرہ رکھا جاسکے۔ فینکر پرنٹ سے کھلے تو اچھا ہے ۔ اندر کوشن لگا ہو تاکہ سامان پر جھٹکوں سے نقصان نہ ہو۔
4) سولر سسٹم بھی لگا دیں تاکہ دھوپ میں کھڑے خود چارج ہوجائے۔
نوٹ: بیٹری فل چارج ہونے کے بعد آٹومیٹکلی چارج ہونا رک جائے ۔ تاکہ بیٹری کی لائف اوور چارج سے کم نہ ہوجائے۔ اور فل ہونے کے بعد ایک خاص تھریشولڈ کمی کے بعد دوبارہ چارج شروع ہو۔
TWO SUGGESTIONS (please read):
Dont buy local cars. Everyone's circumstances are different, but if you can afford, go for imported.
Since you travel to and fro from karachi, I suggest you visit JAN JAPAN. They have huge inventory and you will get your car right away. No need to beg. My father, his colleague, my mamu, they all bought their cars from Jan Japan.
You're a very knowledgeable person hence you can maintain/service that imported cars privately because local dealers service centres are whole another lever of loot mafia. My father's hybrid axio's oil change with new air filter costs around 6k whereas my local siwft's oil change costs 11k from authorized dealership, 5k is just labour charges.
One more thing, I also moved back to Pakistan from abroad and faced many obstacles. After suffering for 5 years I have realized that the system wont change, you have to adopt. DO AS THE ROMANS DO.
So forget this 'doing the right thing' mindset. It will have zero effect on the system but you and your family will surely suffer. If you cant adopt (many cant), move back abroad.

I booked proton x70 in Nov 2020. For Rs 5 lac booking , with delivery time Oct 2021 , Now they say expected delivery in February 2022 & asking for Rs 4 lac more by First week of November , R they reliable to deliver by Feb 21 ? Even They acted like jokers as proton company official congratulated me that I will now get 2022 model !!!!

Don't worry things will get sorted out. Unfortunatly this is a norm in Pakistan and people are facing such issues accross the board. Don't lose hope.
Well now you know why people buy and trust Toyota Corolla and the rest of the tried and trested cars. Consumer protection only exists in law in Pakistan and I've never seen any practical application of it. This is exactly why our people keep faith in what has been tried and tested and rarely try other things no matter how appealing they seem.

Very good job for raising the voice. Every good brand even non automotive are abusing there customers in Pakistan. Even big Banks who most of use and trust with our hard earned money. We need to raise voice. Customer support quality is below average and extremely mediocre.

Take it from me. Its a blessing in disguise. These cars were launched in the past in Pakistan but failed. Word of advise. Buy a Japanese model. Yes it is expensive but its worth it.

I booked Proton Saga in May and delivery was promised in November, 2 weeks before I called my dealer ro check the status and was informed that its delayed.
They are not giving any exact delivery date, no cooperation at all , I am really disappointed
