One of the first lessons my dad taught me when I was 12 and he was teaching me to drive: Hesitation kills. Commit to the act. That lesson applies to a lot of things. Wanna cross a stream without falling in? You gonna go one step at a time waving your arms for balance or dance across in a smooth series of steps?
Absolutely right “When in doubt throttle out”, saved me from going underwater in a snowmobile

I'm going steelhead fishing this weekend for the first time in 4 years! Can't wait to try out my new addicted gear and techniques I've learned from this channel! Wish me luck. You guys are freakin awesome!

Nice work on the oars. That moment at the top of a rapid....fully committed....the point of no return. We flipped our 14ft Maravia in Black Canyon of the Gunnison during the Salmon fly hatch. You quickly realize you are no match for the power of a river - it can take your life in seconds. What a rush it is when you eddy out though anchor up and pop a cold one. Heart pumping rapids and steelies ripping line off make for a great day on the river !

After watching 100s of your guys' videos, I'm still waiting for a river video casting lipped baits. crankbait, jerk bait, minnow bait. w/e you wanna call it. Ovs thats not the style of fishing up there, but still be cool to see.
I beat the crap out of the river trout using them. Just replace the hooks with singles and boom. I also kill'um on spoons, thanks to your videos. In the land of fly-fishing i'm a metal head mostly..
