Born and raised down there. Miss fishing that river very much. So extremely beautiful. Just the history of the area makes it so special and dear to my heart
Man this was such an epic adventure. Love the history and culture of the place. Definitely need to book a trip with Nate soon! Thanks for sharing ADX! 🤙🏼🎣🔥
I have been fortunate to do this trip 8 times over the years. My happy place and one of the most beautiful stretches of river anywhere in the world. Great video giving people a glimpse of what it is like to float the Wild and Scenic.
I met Nate out of the blue fishing at Denman. What a good human being. My biggest regret was not taking him up on an offer to fish with him at the coast for fall Salmon. I’ll be looking for an open date to book with him when I get back up to Oregon.
Hey Jordan. Next time you do the avocado toast, for the seasoning do salt, pepper, red pepper flakes & dill. Heavy on the dill. Pre-mix for easy use. I promise you’ll thank me later. If this changes your life we can go fishing together. 😅
My grandparent lived next to Zane on the Rogue river when he lived there. Both my parent grew up there and lived it. My father fished it a lot when the war was going on and they had no good except wild game
Half pounders and steelhead are the same species (Oncorhynchus mykiss), the "jack" and adult versions are just unique varients or life histories. The more you know ;-)
More videos like this one Jordan.! that was honestly so sweet you are a great guide man, wish to share the river with you one day 🤞🏻🤞🏻 much love from Canada 🇨🇦
Rouge river is the only river I have seen bears on & I’ve gone to rivers almost my whole life constantly heard story’s about my local ones but I’m sure the towns pushed them out even up in mt Rainer area I’ve never seen any
Granted they weren't during the summer but I love how hawg quest made no mention to the wildness of that river. My dad grew up there and I've fished it a lot myself. Lots of fun down there
Excellent video. If you ever make it to the U.P look me up. Feb to May. June for drop backs. Fall for everything... My brother owns a guide service. Trip on me boys.
Can y’all do videos on closed river systems & explain to us what there doing to help us get back to fishing prime waters or just something along those lines
I've just started to float a 16 foot McKenzie Dory.I have experience in floating wraps except Kayaks, canoes and all that kind of stuff down the river.I would like to learn how to run petty shoots.Would you be willing to let me go with you and learn how to shoots and a wooden dory
??? have you guys tried bfs fishing??? I tried it two years ago absolutely pure fun !!!! ive been an ultralight fisherman my whole life got into baitcasters four years ago came across BFS, bait finesse system ill never go back now... BFS was created for river fishing/pressured waters in japan and casting everything from 1/32oz to 1/4oz on a casting rod like whaaaaat need to try for sure!!!!!!!!!
Do the half pounders not venture around the coastline? because if they only stay in the estuary there like our slob trout ( its a sea run brownie) but couldn't be bothered to go to sea and stays in the brackish water, i'm just curious, because i'm from England.. so is the half pounder a lazy steel head? that cant be arsed to go to sea🤣🤣🤣?... i know you have brownies introduced over there, do you ever catch sea trout as we call them over here(sea run brownies)? i have never seen a video of sea run brownies in north America?
I can’t believe Nate still guiding on the rogue. I thought after he almost killed one of his guides and had a non-guide guide clients down a river. He would’ve hung it up after that. I wonder if that guy ever got his vision back? Also, did you remember the tents this time Nate or just the gallon size bag of weed? For anyone thinking about going on Nate’s rogue adventures this is your one and only warning not to go. We only made it day and then had to have his mom come pick us up To take someone to the hospital.
Dano got 6 stitches trying to pull a boat out of being pinned. Trip was evacuated out as resources were diminished and we wrapped it up. We offered refunds to everyone. Still stands if you can call and talk with me. All government agencies were satisfied with my choices in this incident. How can I make it right for ya😅

Dude! I inherited all the Zane Grey books from my dad. He also wrote quite a few great fishing books available on audible!
My grandparent lived next to Zane on the Rogue river when he lived there. Both my parent grew up there and lived it. My father fished it a lot when the war was going on and they had no good except wild game
EXCELENT video guys. Loved it.

The addicted tail out twitcher in the nightmare pattern really does stand on its own as one of the best jigs of all time
Is the nightmare the black body with the white jig head? I wanna buy some for my buddy who salmon fishes in rivers.
Do you have the store link for it? Where in the videos do they fish with it?
The darker fish Phil got. Below horseshoe bend.
The coho at the rogue river ranch. Them coho smashed em!

have you ever fished in Abraham Lake Alberta Canada? Its hard to catch fish there
No we haven’t.
BRB, Gotta go watch Stay Fishy Adventures for day 1.
What's with the Pumpkins 😂nvm Halloween time
What an amazing place to go fishing, but what on Earth is the deal with those pumpkins on those boulders in the river?
Ever heard of Alaska? Bring extra shorts!😳😂😉
Hey, ik, this river is the Rogue River. I live right on the washougal river.
Nice
is the new york steelhead alley video ever gonna be posted ?
April we will premiere in PA, & then we will post to RUclips in November or December of this year.
I want to book the same trip!
How do I get ahold of Nate
Google Nate's Rogue Adventures
Where do I get ahold of nate I fish this river alot
He loves going fishing with new people! 541-633-8178 Good things come to those who Nate 🤙💦
That river is no joke, my pops almost died on blossom bar. Tasty fish tho
Currently streaming in the hospital after my motorcycle accident. Best medicine🤙🏻🤙🏻
Get better!!
Think how many people could enjoy that river if they built a dam like Shasta. Mage recreation and water storage not to mention flood control.

do salmon run year round or was this filmed abit ago?
2 min after writing this i have a feeling it was filmed around october....cause of the mask lol
It is a rerun....did you see the pumpkin on the rock.
@@vapinmoody3417This is a brand new video, filmed during salmon last year.
Salmon season is not year round but they have a fantastic steelhead season to when I lived right in the river 50 years ago.
Yall legit a couple hrs away from me
Yawning is what a dog (or man) does when they are nervous!!

You all on haven’t been here in Alaska. Real simple.😳😳😳
Repost?
Nope, brand new one

20 seconds in that looks like the s.o.
Really calling Zane Grey the greatest story teller when you've got Nate right there telling you stories?!?!
You all posting obviously don’t know Alaska. Simple!😳🤪
Yapping ass dog gotta go. Besides that, epic trip!!!
Why don't you ever mention the names of the rivers you are on. Please explain that. I really don't understand the secrecy.
