I gotta be honest, things have changed down here. It’s not what it used to be, the women used to love gringos now it’s more like an annoyance. I blame channels like this and passport bros, it’s not totally ruined, but it’s on its way to being the next Medellin

Ok, but see 6:57 it happened to me that a brazilian girl started to flirt very much with me - all was there: smiling, searching my eyes, staring my eyes, giving undoubted signals a.s.o. but later it came out she has boyfriend - ! ok got that one but hopefully it's not a common behavior....! 😊
Awkay, thanks for the help! (That is indeed very likely, but couldn't believe it...! That means she held me like a little dog all the long time 😮 ! lemme cry a little bit..!)
Brazil is very different to when I went in 1999, I was 24, it was very much more laid back.. women were slimmer, even though they are are still and very much less westernised. You have to realise that the amount of women to men is crazy. I was young and slim then so finding women wasn't hard. I ended up marrying one, one of my later visits I met her, married for 18 years. Their attitude to relationships is different to other countries, they are more freer I should say, they talk a lot about passion and love but most of it is just talking, let all women they like the idea of love and exciting relations than being in one. Tell them you love Brazil and love Brazilian women as a whole and you will be fine. They are incredibly jealous, but I think that is more to be their ego and most importantly, they are always late to everything, so if going on a date go pick them up. They don't understand how rude being late is in other countries.
Hi my friend. Good video, thank you for the upload and all the interviews. I think this will help guys a lot to understand the brazil people. But I have a question, and maybe an idea (you know me 🤣) for a new video. As you know... in thailand there are also many ladyboys. Sometimes its hard for a tourist, to recognize these persons, because they look like beautiful girls, on the first look and on the second look,,,,and mostly when you date "her" the surprise comes sometimes late in the hotel room! So all the world knew, that the ladyboys in Brazil same famos and beautiful, and hard to detect. What is your experience after partying so long all over brazil??? This happend to you, also? 🤣😂And what about the society?? In thailand the people respect these kind of people, because they are a history and part of the culture! Same in brazil, because there a a open community?? Thanks for the answer! greetings from the cold germany.
Haha, that would be a very complicated video to make. No such ladyboy culture in Brazil but Rio is the most liberal city and therefore has more transpersons than other cities. Not really had any surprises but it’s important to read the bio carefully if online dating
@@SwedishGringo thanks for the answer, and yes could be complicated...I thought about it, because a friend of mine met some transperson in Recife in the 90th. In this bar which he went, were a lot...So good luck...😃
Uma das coisas que irritam brasileiros ( eu me irrito muito) é a ideia clichê que Brasil é só Rio de Janeiro, samba e futebol. Não conhecem a região Sul, Centro Oeste ...são limitados
Yyeah the arrogance is a /huge/ turn off lmao. And don't think we can't tell when you are trying to be subtle about it but still think your culture makes you superior to us, lol. Overall, brazilians tend to be very open towards being friends with people coming from other countries (and that can then possibly develop into something else), but if you're not humble, willing to learn and genuinely interested in us and in the culture, you won't make it. Brazil is famous in the internet for bullying influencers/internet personalities that talk shit about our country/make xenophobic or racist remarks about us out of the internet, lol. We have a lot of pride in our culture and collectively feel like the way it’s seen outside of here is ridiculous and very off the mark, so you're really not going to get away with disrespect. About irony: we actually use a lot of it, but considering the language and cultural barrier, there's a considerable risk that what you find okay might be seen as offensive or just in bad taste here. Play it safe in the beggining until you start getting the feel of the culture here.
A lot of things they complain about is actually the stigma associated to white people, and in specific Europeans.... So I think this is really more targeted for Europeans...
por outro lado vem com muito dinheiro porque brasileiro é entrevista, no Brasil mulher não paga, e sair com brasileiro é caro, já para local então para gringo é pior, e brasileiro não gosta do alicate
Brazil is 100 times better than USA. Americans thinks to highly of themselves. USA was great in the 80´s. Since then it’s only downfall. Would prefer Brazil in all cases before USA.
video is: pay attention and improve yourself to not accidentally offend people or act arrogant, would be the same if I was going to another country and trying to adapt and get along well with people, we all need to know how to behave and adapt to different enviroments and culture. If you rather "be yourself" knowing that some things can ended up bad, so is up to you, don't complain after.

I know i needed too but i couldn't just kiss a girl that i just met when i was there lol feels weird even though its normal. How do you get around it gringo? You ask if you can kiss her or just go in after some talking?
A Normal girl won’t allow someone she just met to kiss her for sure
Yes, just ask. They know you’re from another country and usually find it cute.
@a.a.6104 go to rio and experience it and find out 👌🏾
@SwedishGringo I'll try next time, coming back in January. I miss bibi sucos🫠

Haha, medium tongue guys. Medium! 😅

You are most welcome my friend! ☀️🇧🇷
They don't like sarcasm ? I am only fluent in sarcasm... That's where it hits the wall at full speed.
Haha maybe you’ll just have to study some Brazilian sarcasm then 😅
is not that we don't like sarcasm, is that sarcasm sometimes can not work with language barrier and a different social and cultural context. So instead of making a joke you turn into one.. just better to avoid.
Sounds like they are a bit tetchy tbh thin skinned but also that a lot of the complaints are describing a yank without naming the country
A little like that perhaps 😉
I gotta be honest, things have changed down here. It’s not what it used to be, the women used to love gringos now it’s more like an annoyance.
I blame channels like this and passport bros, it’s not totally ruined, but it’s on its way to being the next Medellin
I think you’re jumping to conclusions here. Brazil has far less tourists than Colombia, and outside of Rio you can go days without hearing anyone talk english. How do you mean I’m to blame?
Respect tastes better than attention, women are finally getting concious that some behaviors are not just cultural shock, but red flags about douchbags in different languages. The channel is just spreading knowlege.
@@carolinabarros7830 I was in Rio 3 years ago and it felt pretty easy to start conversations with the girls here. I just got back and there feels like a vibe of like fuck me for even saying hi. I feel uninspired to even approach here, mostly just get rejected without even any conversation.
I truly love Brazilian culture and the vibe down here, that’s why I visit. But maybe you’re right, too many douchebags have ruined it for now. I don’t blame the girls, I’d be annoyed too if it was constant.
I’m all for respect, by the way.
@@SwedishGringo once the secret of how amazing Brazil is gets out, you can’t put it back. It’s like Pandora’s box ;)
Maybe I’m just upset you’re putting it on the radar.
I appreciate this channel and all you’ve shared. But it can also appeal to passport bros- aka aggressive douchebags.
@@lionsheartwisdom Yeah I got more attention from women at home than I do in brazil. Same vibes though. I guess that's why they call it geo-arbitrage, eventually it all evens out

Great video dude! Curious if you've ever been to Florianopolis and how you like it compared to Rio and other parts of Brazil? Also, those sunglasses you bought from the vendor, do they have real uv protection?

Ok, but see 6:57 it happened to me that a brazilian girl started to flirt very much with me - all was there:
smiling, searching my eyes, staring my eyes, giving undoubted signals a.s.o. but later it came out she has boyfriend - ! ok got that one but hopefully it's not a common behavior....! 😊

Great comment amigo!

British - top 1 people on bars here laughing about their own jokes while Brazilians are ???????
Funny, my wife loves the fact that I was only willing to have a Brazilian wife, definitely gonna have to disagree with that one.
Yes, luckily we’re all different … that’s why there’s still hope for me 😅
Is it true Brazilian girls are tall in general? Like 6 feet tall? How about guys? they tall ? Looks like it. No?
No no, where did you get this from?😅 Brazilian girls are quite a bit shorter than most girls in northern Europe. I’d say around 165 cm in general
If you were in New York City or Los Angeles you would be complaining
I guess you’re right. Probably cause we share a common culture

Uma das coisas que irritam brasileiros ( eu me irrito muito) é a ideia clichê que Brasil é só Rio de Janeiro, samba e futebol. Não conhecem a região Sul, Centro Oeste ...são limitados
Concordo! ❤️🇧🇷

Very true
Video is don’t be your self, no matter she says be yourself??? Useless video.
video is: pay attention and improve yourself to not accidentally offend people or act arrogant, would be the same if I was going to another country and trying to adapt and get along well with people, we all need to know how to behave and adapt to different enviroments and culture. If you rather "be yourself" knowing that some things can ended up bad, so is up to you, don't complain after.
