As much as I enjoy their silly and laid-back interviews, these ”serious” ones have a special place in my heart. I love getting to dive into their brains on a deeper level because what they have to say is always so interesting and truly inspiring to me. I could listen to them talk about their passions for hours.
aquacorpses ~ same. Sometimes I get annoyed with the silly/sassiness during interviews. This interviewer does great job, does his research, asks good questions. I feel like it really says something when an artist remembers an interviewer; I know their first interview with him still sticks out in my mind to this day; apparently he left impression on Tyler too.
aquacorpses ~ it's also refreshing to see Tyler looking forward to an interview! Doesn't happen that often; tho they have more press conferences these days
So when he said building stuff I like paused the video and told my friend "I swear to God if he says treehouses " and then he said that and I FLIIPPEDDDD
you've done their best interviews: this and the previous one. what a skill, man. it's like you can capture their mood and thoughts. you've asked such deep and important questions instead of crap they are usually being asked. thank you. thank you so so much. never stop doing this, you're amazing.
I love how Tyler just sits still and listens while Josh is talking. Maybe he thinks if he moves around too much, he'd be a distraction from Josh's time to speak. Cuz idk, Josh never used to talk much. Lol just a thought
The Sadie Jay I agree. Also I feel like most interviewers dont have much questions for josh. I really like this one because there are questions for him
I love how he talks honestly about those times when you don't really feel passionate about something you've always been passionate about. So many people talk about passion as if it's a constant fiery feeling that you have about something and that if you stop feeling it, you're not passionate about it anymore and you should move on to something else. But the truth is, passion for something ebbs and flows. You may go through phases where you're writing songs constantly and you don't want to do anything else, and then go through a dry phase where you don't feel like writing anymore. It doesn't mean you're not passionate, or that your passion is gone. If you're in a dry spell right now, don't doubt who you are and what you're made to do. Keep at it and push through until you're reminded of why you started whatever it is in the first place.
you can really feel how great this interview is when Tyler is not just ditching a question about the meaning behind the lyrics but actually answers it carefully. Thanks for the wonderful interview! ||-//
i always appreciate these interviews you do with twenty one pilots. you ask great questions and i love hearing them answer them in depth. i could watch hours of them just talking
That didn't feel like a 20-minute interview at all, it was so interesting and the questions were actually good, the boys had a lot of things to say, and they seemed like they actually appreciated it, which is always great to see.
I second Tyler, you always have amazing interviews with these guys. I was excited when I heard your voice at the start of the interview, because I knew you would have great questions. Thank you!
I don't know what the name of interviewer is but I highly appreciate how he's leading the interviews and what types of questions he's asking. He always takes out all the best from the boys and it's also always something news. That's the art of interviewing in its highest form.
Whenever im painting i like to put on a twenty one pilots interview and just let it play in my headphones and listening to them always helps me stay inspired while working
I LITERALLY SCREAMED HEARING INTERVIEWS VOICE Back in 2015 was probably my first interview I’ve seen and it’ll forever hold a special place in my heart and the fact Tyler was the first to remember broKe me
I’ve never clicked onto a video so quickly. I’ve waited years for another interview by you from tøp. I’m so glad you was able to speak to Josh as well, he done so well in answering you. You make them both feel so comfortable. So thank you. |-/
This interview was so good, I loved that Tyler was honest in saying he doesn’t like what he does 100% of the time and it literally is just a job-from the outside looking in it’s easy to believe that musicians/artists/famous people are constantly having the time of their lives and don’t get frustrated by their jobs. What he said about loving something because you get good at it was important-nobody is born with a passion, it comes from believing that you can get better at something.
I was hoping all tour you'd interview them again. Always the best interviews to watch with thought provoking questions. I love the natural comfortable authentic vibes.
I love this interviewer because he doesn't ask stupid questions and he asked in depth questions that actually matter and they are so comfortable with this interviewer and they can actually open up and really answer the questions without being uncomfortable He also doesn't say, wHaTs a bAnDItO
Wowee. Tyler is so good at articulating delicate concepts! He sounds like he's analyzed his creative process in depth. It's difficult to talk about art intelligently.
8:00 even though im still really young, 17, I really feel what Tyler meant here, in that I grew up always drawing and making art, and when I went into a tough art school I realized there were times in which I questioned whether I actually liked art, because sometimes it was the last thing I wanted to do.
Tyler said 'the hype is also about the reminder that you don't need to listen to everyone. I think that theres a culture around specifically a recording studio where songs are written where the belief is the more people you put in a room the better the artwork, the better the song and in a sense, not that I don't believe in collaboration, but I believe that the left and the right turn inside of songwriting is such a fragile decision that multiple influences and multiple people in the same room can absolutley influence the wrong direction.... The hype surrounding creativity can make people make the wrong decisions..it's the natural excitement that comes with the proximity to creativity. It's exciting to watch someone create something and that excitement can be confused with, that's the right direction that song should go.'
Honsetly, the interviewer makes the best interviews with them. He has a calm and good way of talking which creates a certain atmosphere where Tyler and Josh, I guess, feel secure. Also, the questions are all so well thought out (i like the usage of like quotes of their lyrics). The interviewer reacts most of the time to the answer which shows that he really is listening to them and not asking them quick questions just to leave. Thank you for this Interview again!!!
These guys are awesome, and it's amazing to see how far they've come with their music. I first heard them around the time Vessel came out, and I feel that album is a masterpiece. Congrats to Tyler and Josh for remaining so humble, and thanks for the great interview!
I literally fell asleep from just hearing the soothing voice from Josh and Tyler. Now that I’m up time to actually watch and give attention to them. ❤️😂
I’m so grateful Tyler’s mom had him shoot 500 baskets everyday. He learned discipline and commitment- and it’s serving his purpose well. You guys are perfect, my favorite music. Thank you Tyler and Josh!
so they basically explained what do the songs the hype, levitate and chlorine mean for them, how they interpret these songs. love your interviews with them. you ask really great questions like that one about creativity and they always answer with such honesty. looking forward to more interviews
I love the questions, the amount everyone is talking, EVERYTHING, but I don’t really like how tired they look. Josh’s dark circles are rather prominent and his bags are a little big. He seems fine though, I hope he’s ok. He doesn’t seem like insanely tired, he just looks like he went to my school for a month lmao. Tyler seems fine, he kinda always had a bit of dark circles, but his bags are much bigger. I’m happy they still have all of their energy and such. Hope they’re good. They must be working so hard for us to make more things for everyone and that’s so great that they’re thinking of us and doing tour and all of that. I’m happy for them, but I’m also hoping they don’t overwork themselves. Glad they’re ok.
Einfach Einfach I know, and I’m grateful, I’m just surprised how tired they are and they’re still taking interviews. I appreciate it and I recognized that at the end of the comment.

I think it was sweet how Josh sensed that something wasn’t right with Tyler, and even though he gets anxiety talking in interviews, he still talked so Tyler didn’t have to as much.
I'm a songwriter, and I haven't been able to songwrite in forever because of school (I'm listening to this in the background while doing schoolwork)... This interview is so inspiring, it's seriously making me want to get back to it...
I love how in this interview we can go into depth through Josh’s perspective on questions and not so much just Tyler not saying I don’t like listening to Tyler answering questions but it’s nice to see josh getting really comfortable in these interviews
i’m so happy that josh is stepping up and answering the questions. there’s obviously something bothering tyler and josh is being a good friend and taking most of the questions so tyler doesn’t have to talk.
so here I am, about to start a project for a job I don't really enjoy, and here's Tyler, telling me that I enjoy the things I'm good at. If this is not enough motivation, I don't know what is ❤️
i adore your interviews with them. you listen, you ask great questions and you give them the time to really say something. your interview with tyler in 2014 was what actually got me to listen to twenty one pilots in the first place actually so thank you. it's safe to say it literally changed my life. a lot.

Now that i am an adult, ‘the thing’ that i had for drummer comes back everytime i watch josh dun playing. And who could resist that deep yet soothing voice of him. Geez. I couldn’t. I have no intention on being a childish, crazy high school teenager all over again. But josh dun, I’m not done with him. 😅
The whole thing Josh said in the beginning is the story of my life. About the drums and music in middle school and all that stuff. It's like he was talking about me.

He looks so tired tho
