We stayed on a private island in Amsterdam for 24 hours as a romantic weekend getaway! This tiny house was an old lockhouse in the middle of the Amstel River with the best views in the city. Now, it's a full-equipped hotel suite through the Sweets Hotel. They turn old bridge houses into unique places to stay in the city.

Dahhhh!!! Jessica! I almost feel like I should know you... mostly probley cuz you Live in Amsterdam !! And are living it up and like I said before in my story, I've been there twice and just feel an extreme connection and thanks to you I can really keep those memories alive and remember my friend Jeffrey that took me there!! Happy Aniverserary also ! I'm still land locked in the middle of the States in Denver CO, and I'm also drank many a rum shooter alone and playing my acoustic guitar 🎸

That looked really cool! I think it would be really neat to stay inside that lockhouse especially when you get to wake up to such a cool view! I like how the floor in the bedroom is heated too. Happy Anniversary to you and Sean!

You "forgot" to mention that you have to pay for every extra travel to/from the island
To and from is included in the price. That's all we did, so I didn't forget anything. It's on their website if you want extra rides, it makes sense that you pay.
@@aWanderlustForLife of course they offer you the check-in and checkout ride, but if you are a tourist who wants to explore the city, you have to pay very expensive extras.
Just to mention all pros and cons
I saw it as an experience in itself, not a place you explore from. Stay there for a night, stay on the island the whole time, then explore after you check out and check into a regular hotel. This video is about my experience, and it was insanely cool.
