This is applicable to life in general. The trick is to be happy with whatever you have going on in the present and carry no expectations. Great message.
Thank you! Yes, this does apply to life aswell. For me it is harder to let go of expectations concerning my violin playing than in the rest of my life.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us❤❤❤❤❤❤. I did have these experiences a lot
I still have them all the time. I laugh at myself because I teach this but still fall into the same trap.😂
Thank you for sharing this. I personally did find this useful. I have often had exactly the same experience, even over long periods of time. As a result I have had doubt's about my own musicality. It is very encouraging to know that this is normal. I'm sure that many other people will benefit from what you have shared here aswell.
Thank you very much! It means so much to me that this is helpful.
Great 🎶philosophy!
Thank you! I did not come up with this, I was lucky enough to have great teachers who taught things like this.
Yes, I often find myself in this situation where inexplicably everything seems so easy. Then it fizzles out the next day or the one after and eventually comes back ... and so the cycle continues.
Thanks for sharing, it's helpful to know that this is a professionals experience as well. I suppose expectation is unhelpful in either direction in this case. Good or bad.
I think we have to accept the fact that violin progress is never linear. I find it very hard not to have expectations. But expectations, good or bad, limit us. Acceptance and curiosity is much better but that is a lot more easily said than done. Certainly for me.
@@vivolin6521 I find that not accepting that some new problem has occurred or reoccurred often leads me to foolishly trying to brute force passed it.. since it "shouldn't" be occurring.
Dont violinists listen to great violinists and their performances and afterwards try to aim or "match" it?
I'm sure everybody does that. We need to listen to great violinists to get an idea about how we want to sound.
