It warms my heart whenever one of the girls busts into the room while he is filming. He completely forgets about the camera and shows wonderful parenting.
This video was one of my favourite dgr videos and I can see why dave is such a great parent

I have a 4 year old who is on the spectrum. He loved watching your videos with me and recently he started playing MM2 on our Switch. To my surprise his high score on easy is 8 courses. He has some problems moving and jumping and some of the more advanced tech (ground pounds, wall jumps, etc) are a little challenging for him, but everytime I hear him yell "COURSE CLEAR" it warms this old mans heart up :-3 Maybe I will have to take a stab at helping him make a level.

All of them were, he died in some of the dumbest places but that wasnt your usual a DGR Dave skill issue, it was the brilliant planning of Carmen and Willow

Anyone expecting masterpiece quality creations from 4-6 year olds probably can’t remember being that young. I was programming at 7-8, even made a few games, but as much as that’s an achievement I can take a little pride in… those games I created were _laughably_ rudimentary, at best 😂 it’s so sweet that your girls have made these levels for you, and maybe these levels will never be hanging in the Louvre but that’s really not what matters if they’re having fun expressing their creativity 😊 and you really seem like a great dad ❤️

Your daughters are surprisingly brutal with their level designs.
It’s no joke that Dave put thousands of hours into SMM2, and still never realized that Bloopers can’t be stomped on underwater. Also, it’s nice to see the creations his two daughters made.
Good job Willow you actually taught your dad something 10 out of 10 level design!

I love seeing beginning creations like this, it reminds me of when I started making music when I was 13 and the music was laughably bad (I still find it entertaining lol), but it is a part of our growth, just keep going at it, whether it is music or Mario maker. This is very wholesome and thank you for the memories it gave me too :)

So so sweet to see your girls' levels with some really great ideas in them! I hope they'll want to continue to make more levels down the road and we can see what direction they end up shaping their own styles if they get that far in level creation. Just seeing their smiles, at the end of the day, is the most joyful thing in the world. Hope you all have a great time watching this video back together!
Oh, and it's a small touch for me, but including the Monkey Target music from Monkey Ball 2 at the end brought me instantly back to my childhood - made this even more special ending off!

Yeah this was such a heartwarming video to watch and then the Monkey Target music made it that much better. That was one of the games my dad and I would play together when I was little and I loved it.

These are so good! My kiddo has been playing from a similar age all the way from Mario Maker 1 early days and has loved making me levels. However, I made the mistake of letting him watch some videos with Carl's hardlock tech and he's now made it his mission to recreate it for me !!!
This was so wholesome and heartwarming to see. I actually started crying at the end. It's so nice to see families showing an interest with each others hobbies and careers. Carmen and Willow did a great job on the levels.
This is the content I'm here for. I love gaming with my kid too, and you really can see their faces light up when you do stuff like this with them. Keep it up Dave, we all love your videos in this house.

I think the most amazing thing for me is that as long as RUclips is around.. long after dgr is dead and gone his daughters can look back at this and see how much he loves them.. My dad passed last year and I'd give anything for something like that

I also have never been more excited for a movie than the Mario movie. I grew up on those games and even if people don’t like the voices I still think it’s so well animated and full of references and the like I’m gonna love it! It must have been how the sonic fans felt when that movie finally dropped (I don’t like Sonic so…).

I'm VERY exited. The mario franchise has been a crucial part of my childhood and to this day I always enjoy playing the various games that nintendo made of the plumber. And now a movie! There is no telling how hyped I am!
