As an F2P (and probably for low spenders too) the answer is simple : Pick the one you like OR pick the one that has the longest shelf life. Shelf life in this case means a character that has not been power crept yet. The longer the shelf life, the better your investment. Regarding "pick the one you like". I'm a dedicated 1st-gen main (why? Because I like them) and you will lose PPC and Warzone quite hard. However, I can say that the 1st-gens are still more than enough to clear the hardest challenge the game has to offer. Plus, if you compete in a gacha game, it's always money first, skill second. If you don't have the money, then why should you care about rankings? As for duplicates. All 2nd-gen S-Ranks (except Nanamech AKA Nanami Starfarer) are recommended on SS3 + sig. To get this, you need the character, have him/her to SS rank from PPC, pull his/her weapon, and another duplicate. It's recommended not just because of the buff they will get but also the fact that from SS3 to SSS requires you to have 2 more duplicates which is quite expensive. Now you can compare which SS3 is the best buff for each of the characters but if you have decided to get duplicates, pick the one that is not SS3 yet.
I don't think f2p should pull this. For back pulling, better wait for next patch standard banner gauranteed (only once) up to Feral. The only requirement is blue cards for standard banner. Your black card should better pull for new gen 2 omns.
My plan and prayer is that since I already have number 1 and 3 I'm gonna pray to God that I get bianca from anniversary get lamia in next patch I have guarantee and then maybe get scire from the upcoming basic banner thing where you can select the character you get from the standard, or maybe save it for someone else
My prayers worked I got bianca in 24 pulls, so easily getting lamia and gonna save the basic banner selector for maybe Luna oblivion or the upcoming ice tank idk yet all I know is I'm saving it and going for the ice DPS and fire tank after I get lamia

(This is for dupes and meta. If you're a new f2p player and you care about meta, just don't pull. If you're neither and are confident you won't regret it, then pull for whoever you like.) Don't get Rosetta, she's available on BP selector and monthly store. Don't get Chrome, he doesn't give your ice team a boost significant enough to justify pulling for. Get Live Empyrea only if you're going to SSS her and wait for her Leap. Get Karen only if you're a whale, she's unusable before SS3 and sig but still not that strong at that level. She needs SSS3 which is fucking ridiculous, just wait till Lamia. Lee is also a sub optimal choice, his SS3 and SSS aren't great. If you're getting Crimson Weave to SSS, 21 and Vera can just be QTE bots without you losing out on any damage, so keep that in mind. On the other hand Bianca at SSS enables her to use full stack ults much faster, which also means she requires a swap out every ult for optimal damage output, so you'll need high investment a Alisa and Rosetta too. TL;DR Don't get any of them if you're broke. Get Crimson weave if you don't have a strong Phys team, and get Bianca if you do. Get Karen if you like her and you're a whale
Getting Karen is good because in Lucia's patch she will provide the ionization buff (I think with her leap), which is needed for ionization stages. You don't need her ss3 or even SS for the buff, just her leap afaik
Im getting lee hyper real because solely he cool af and seem fun to play, i dont want to bother to go meta and went depressed and then quit the game for now and just try to delve into PGR universe and story as new player first and one way to do it for me is to play as char that seem fun/enjoyable/cool to play

Its depend planning for lamia and watanabe already a good choice so keep that in your plan. For others maybe get Bianca stigmata and expand for physical or Alpha Crimson weave in lightning

(To replace kamui) Im a new player so both my Luna and Kamui are still S rank, Kamui still poorly built while Luna does decent damage. If i get Scire i can have a better tank but i wont get ss3 and weapon immediately, but if i get Lamia ill have powerful attacker but wack supports. So who should i get first??

do you mean the gacha coating? that one usually have one-time pity only so every time it has the banner it will reset. So make sure for coating you are preparing for the worst case since you can build pity like other banner

After I collect all blue tickets from guide missions etc and the 2500 from the anniversary update, i'll only need another 6k or so blue tickets to finish the full 60 pulls, can't seem to find how long it'll take to get those
Unless you just really wanna pull for someone right now, I'd advise holding on to them until Lamia's patch. That way you can just guarantee yourself one of the key units for a team you want to build instead of having to wait until you can get another 15,000 blue tickets. At the end of the day tho do what will be most fun for ya

The rest is up to version events and good luck at the fortune machine in the command bureau. Honestly it would probably be a few months normally to get 6k for most players.
Personally, I think you should wait for Lamia patch before spending your blue tickets. If you pull now and get an S rank character in 40 pulls, you might get someone outdated or powercreeped that you might not want. Furthermore, you still need to scrape for 6k more blue tickets for the selector banner in Lamia patch. Unless you want to use black cards to cover for the 6k, which I would advise against doing, then you will have to wait a few months because blue tickets are hard to come by. BUT! I think I read somewhere that there would be a free 10 pull worth of blue tickets in Lamia patch following the selector event. Although take this only as a grain of salt, as I'm not sure of it myself. However, by waiting for the Lamia patch, which is only like approx a month from now, you can get someone you want which will be beneficial for your team building. Although this also has it's cons. There's a little possibility that you would get a dupe after pulling for the selector event when you pull for the normal banner.
Ok I will just wait for lamia patch and get someone else I want sooner rather then later. I do plan on using the anniversary patch to guarantee someone I want as well, so I have a character I like to enjoy the game with, now to decide which one to get first x) Although it will probably be CW. Theirs no FOMO in PGR as the char. gets rerun in Arrival Pull, so its up to you whether you like any char. in the anniversary banner. But i suggest first getting the char. you want to play rather than following the META given im assuming you're pretty new, only go with META once you got the char. that you like, always prioritize getting Attacker first if you're following the META before Tank and Supp.
I recommend the top 2 either bianca stigmata or alpha Crimson weave. If you want full meta then physical the detail in video. in short you can get rosetta and alisa for free and both of them meta. alpha crimson weave good by her own so her teammates just slap chrome archlight and liv lux still fine

just save it. anniversary banner usually every 6 months. Qu and watanabe when release will not in anniversary banner they will be in debut banner so they have separate pity as far as i know unless you talk for next year anniversary

Ok I will just wait for lamia patch and get someone else I want sooner rather then later. I do plan on using the anniversary patch to guarantee someone I want as well, so I have a character I like to enjoy the game with, now to decide which one to get first x) Although it will probably be CW. You can live just fine with no.21 lol until then just save for who you want if you like their play style
Theirs no FOMO in PGR as the char. gets rerun in Arrival Pull, so its up to you whether you like any char. in the anniversary banner.
But i suggest first getting the char. you want to play rather than following the META given im assuming you're pretty new, only go with META once you got the char. that you like, always prioritize getting Attacker first if you're following the META before Tank and Supp.
Follow what you want the most. Because Lamia is also good choice so there is no wrong decision. I you like lamia more then just wait for her

I recommend the top 2 either bianca stigmata or alpha Crimson weave. If you want full meta then physical the detail in video. in short you can get rosetta and alisa for free and both of them meta. alpha crimson weave good by her own so her teammates just slap chrome archlight and liv lux still fine

just save it. anniversary banner usually every 6 months. Qu and watanabe when release will not in anniversary banner they will be in debut banner so they have separate pity as far as i know unless you talk for next year anniversary
