Romy and Jules were relaxing in the Hamlet while Samson and Gabby were away to gather food for the family. A juvenile bald eagle decided that it was going to hang out and tease the kids with its presence. The juvie was even so brash as to begin preening and rousing to show Romy and Jules that, scream as they might, he wasn't too concerned with them. Things changed once Gabby showed up and let the juvie know that it was about time to move along!

I saw this live. They got pretty worked up, LOL. I guess 'juvie' was looking for an easy meal knowing that food would be delivered soon. He wasn't getting flustered with all the squawking by those two. He was just hanging out nearby. It made for a little excitement in the day.

Oh, a young eagle visited to Jules and Romy .... and they said to him, "What are you doing here? Don't you know that we are still in quarantine? Go away, Mom and Dad are not going to like you here! !😃😁

Fascinating! That juvie looked freshly fledged ! Looks to be the same age. Wonder where he or she is from. Beautiful eagle ❤ wanted to hang out or grab a snack perhaps. I wish him or her well 💞

One of them has fallen out of the nest and is likely in another tree (nearly landed his mark and was almost home safe but just didn’t quite have the skill and loft and distance) at this point because a young eagle visited again and there was a squabble with the parent again today. Do they send people out to help get the eagle back up to the nest? We are worried about him!

The last babies were Sky & Spirit in 2018. They would have just a slight bit of white on their heads by now. Two year old sub adults .

It will take him or her a year to get really good at hunting on their own. For now, will rely on road kill or stealing. Rough life at that age.

Florida has the second most nesting pairs of Bald Eagles to Alaska. The range most likely overlaps this nest. He or she was just curious and his nest nearby.
