The central finite curve was all the universes where Rick was the smartest man and the only one with interdimensional travel, evil morty being outside of it there's a SHITLOAD of beings inventing interdimensional travel, that's why there were portals everywhere.
I don't think people realize how INSANELY powerful Evil Morty is... he was the reason they found Rick Prime, and at the end not only did he capture Rick Prime himself but he resurrected C137 and let him kill him. Evil Morty also seems to be the only character in the show that perceives Rick from an emotional standpoint and sees him for what he truly is, at times even making him look plain pathetic. We see this in the destruction of the Citadel episode as well as this episode when Evil Morty knew that C137 killing Prime wouldn't change anything, and if anything would make C137 more depressed. Anyways, Evil Morty is to me the most impressive character ever in the show, especially when you consider his back story. I gotta know more about him and what his future goals are. Maybe he can get his own show?? 🤔 I'd watch!! Lol
Evil Morty is powerful, but that's because he's dedicating his whole time to be that. Just imagine how much more Powerful this Rick would be if he wasn't going on random adventures with Morty or devoting his entire time to finding this guy. Evil Morty wouldn't stand a chance.
Evil Morty isn't the one with more power, he's just different. He has a different goal, so he's using different methods for different reasons against people that aren't designed by reality itself to think and build like him. Listen to Prime Rick, they were the only Ricks to make their own portals, that means they're the most similar Ricks across every dimension that has a Rick. Even their augmentation are backwards compatible His vision is still wide, and it hasn't narrowed from age and trauma, but he isn’t more powerful just because he's butting into a mirror match.
there was A LOT of callbacks i missed the first time i watched this ep, the fatter rick not liking pirates, slowmobius being the one who sped up the rick dance, and the ‘booger aids’ thing from morty’s mindblowers, then finally the ending being a callback to when morty had to bury himself

To me an overlooked part of ricks character is he loved this woman we don’t know so much he can never be whole again without her. Infinite women among infinite timelines yet Rick still mourns for the one he lost. Ngl I think season 7 might be saving Rick and Morty???

I’m so happy that instead of waiting till the final season they actually had the balls to have our Rick FINALLY a get his revenge on Rick Prime, and he did it in the most satisfyingly brutal way, by beating him till he was coated in blood like Kratos did to Zeus in God Of War 3. And now comes the truly challenging part, now that he finally killed the man that not only killed his wife but killed her in every possible universe, what does he do now? Also RIP Slow Mobius!
I can’t be the only one that recognizes the song that plays at the end. It’s the same song at the end of 1x6 “Rick Potion #9”. Where they go to a different universe.
It’s also really sad in a way because at the end of Rick Potion #9, the song plays while Morty is just so traumatised, and in this episode, we see it from Rick’s perspective
Why would he? Our Morty never knew his Diane, or any other Diane. Also this Morty isn't our Rick's grandson so his Diane wouldn't have been Morty's actual grandma.
They were very clear with regards to the Portal Gun tech invention that only Prime and C-137 ever invented it (inside the finite curve). All the other infinite ricks in the multiverse received portal tech directly from Prime. That heavily implies only C-137 ever refused his offer. Remember he killed Diane in response to C-137 rejecting his offer as this proved that he was wrong to have left Diane in trade for power. Had every rick in every multiverse also left Diane he could feel vindicated. C-137's refusal damned him, so he killed Diane anyways so that even the one Rick who turned down power for love would lose her anyways. But even this most heinous evil wasn't enough after C-137 turned back around and invented the Interdimensional Portal Gun just the same as only Prime had done. Now with salvation at hand for C-137 and the ruin of Prime's entire life work, he stepped even further into evil. He killed Diane, in every universe, for all time. If no rick had Diane then no rick could be better than him, and with C-137 completely destroyed all C-137 had left was vengeance. And it took 20 years of failing at it before he finally rolled into the Smith family home with a neutron bomb in the backseat.
I like how mrslows wife represented our rick about to go into the revenge filled spiral but instead of blindingly finding revenge she actually chose to sit down and forget so she actually became happy
Indiana Jones shooting in a confined space is a cool double reference, since the same actor plays Han Solo, which did that in the trash compactor in Star Wars. These writers are beyond geniuses.
The point of the ending with Slo Mobius's wife was to show more or less what Rick's life could have been if he had given up on revenge and let it go. She was headed down an identical path, but stopped before she could follow it.
The last scene with Rick is a mirroring of the last scene in that season 1 episode (forget which number it was exactly) where Rick and Morty had to switch universes, because they turned all people into Cronenbergs. Morty was paralyzed because he just lost everything, his family, his jessica his world, and now he had to replace a dead Morty in a family that wasn't really his and would live a lie. He just starred blankly at the wall because he processed how f*cked up that situation was. Our Rick kinda did the same when he became the grandpa for Rick Primes family. Only that he was so focused on searching for Rick Prime and distracted himself with his new family and adventures with Morty, that he never really got to the point to really process what he had done. But now that he killed Rick Prime and his mind is free again, he gets that realization. Only now years later, he really starts to digest what he did to this family and the lie he's living. It will be interesting how he copes with that now.
Yeah, except the Smith family that we are currently following isn't Rick Prime's family; they went feral after Rick abandoned them when he cronenberged that universe. This family is the one that Rick and Morty moved in with after they fucked over the initial world. Except for Jerry because our current Jerry is the one that swapped with the Jerry that originally belonged to the family that Rick and Morty took over after cronenberging the other world. Rick C-137 took Rick Prime's Morty with him and he has been with him all this time. So our current family is a mix and match of various family members from different dimensions. However they all get on with each other as they are now so we most likely won't be swapping any more family members. We've been with this particular family for a while now.
I think the new voice actor did great with Ricks emotional voice acting, I’m glad they got someone not just competent but someone who can also give that performance is special a special find, I hope for them to continue and do well on the show.
Did anyone else notice the music playing after Rick kills Prime and he's just with the family is the same music that played in the first season after Rick & Morty first jumped universes and replaced another version of themselves. A great callback, as well as showing how much Morty has adjusted to things while Rick is the one now that feels empty and conflicted.
The post credits made me think, for Rick to be happy again. He has to move on and meet someone new to settle with. Perhaps might have to give up his sci fi adventures to prevent further problems and unhappiness.
"And Alexander wept. Seeing as he had no more worlds to conquer." Me and my dad were watching this episode. And I quoted that after seeing Rick after he had beaten Prime to death with his bare hands.
Easily one of the (if not THE best) episodes of the show. Was a thrillride from start to end and that opening where we see Evil Morty's origin is just simply amazing!
Correction- Rick Prime and Ultimate Rick were the only ones to actually invent portal travel -BOTH- Invented portal travel (Time stamp 13:51) and at 18:50 RPrime says "I just walked into your garage first" Meaning RPrime believed Ultimate Rick was going to eventually do what RPrime did, to him. (POLL_- EvilMorty will end the series with the upgraded version/will reset everything to the Ultimate Rick, deciding that was the last good idea that would ever come from that garage- (right before Rick Prime dropped in and killed Ultimate Ricks family) and the good Rick and all of them will live happily ever after :)
Something I've thought about. The detoxifying machine had toxic rick and healthy rick as geniuses. But prime loves being the smartest thing alive, and hated his emotional attachments so much he erased diane. If you put prime in a detoxifyer, would a toxic version of him just be a jerry?
1:34 Morty looking down on Rick with those lights behind him, just as we've seen Rick looking down on Morty so many times from the same angle. I knew something major was up.
In the Season 5 finale, Evil Morty left the Central Finite Curve. So, in the beginning of this episode, it's shown that Evil Morty has been going on adventures in universes outside of the Curve. He's now able to travel to universes in and outside of the Curve.
The song that played towards the end when Rick was just kinda spaced out is the same song that played when they hopped dimensions for the first time waaaaay back in season 1 and Morty was having his exestental crisis. Also, after all that build up there's no way Prime is just dead. He's so coming back!
There are probably multiple rick primes, primes that won the fight, primes that got erased, infinite is infinite. The device prime made most likely only erased all Dianes from existences that married a smart rick.
@@vincentthought6130 Very true. But I was more so talking about the Prime that our Rick killed in the ep. With all of the build up they've done over the past few seasons; it feels odd to kill him in one ep. Maybe it's just me.
@@little_nightfury1762 That was the point. We are supposed to feel unsatisfied by seeing him gone just like that. Just like our Rick feels. So no, I wouldn't say we're getting him back
idk if anybody noticed but the song they used at the end was the exact same as when they left the cronenberg universe in season 1 ep 6 and morty was distraught, but this time rick is the one with that feeling, very good writing on their part
The post credits scene was SO dark... Turns out you can go through the exact same thing as Rick and NOT become cynical and hateful. It's basically an "F You" to every choice Rick has made. I love it
best rick and morty episode of all time in my opinion. the story, the action, the characters, the comedy, the visuals, all 10/10. literally zero complaints
The post-credit scene accented just how poignant and tragic Rick’s story was. Slow-Mobius’s widow was starting to go down the same dark path of grief and revenge, but by pure chance she bumped into somebody early along the way that helped kickstart the process of feeling whole again. Her timeline diverged, probability did its thing, and she went down a different path. By the time she’s made a second family with her new beau, we see Slow-Mobius’s picture still on the bedside table; he’ll always be missed, and she won’t completely move on, but at least she’s surrounded by new loved ones and looks happier for it. Rick didn’t have that chance, but we do see him surrounded by loved ones at the dinner table at the end. Same situation, same choice: succumb to despair, or move on despite it. Rick has the opportunity for a new purpose, if he wants it. The former Mrs. Slow-Mobius said yes; Rick is undecided for now.
I believe the place at the start is reality outside the finite curve (the sealed collective of infinite universes where Rick is the one to invent the portal device.) It's basically worse than a multiversal war as you're not even confined by infighting between variants, but the infinite permutations of an infinite amount of multiversal travelers. The only way to avoid chaos is to limit it (again, using Loki as a comparison, that was what the "sacred timeline" was: the specific sequence of events that would lead to that specific variant becoming He Who Remains) in this case, by segregating out universes where the same singular individual is the only portal user in each universe. (And thus has a infinite variety upon a common spectrum of behavior and creates. Like a curve of finite definition but infinite length.)
The episode was very fast and honestly really packed together but maybe that's what was supposed to happen, rick thinking about how easy it was after the fact and how he didn't feel fulfilled might be what they were going for in the episode; they were probably trying to make us feel that way too; or maybe its like that because its like that. also the fact evil morty came out basically unharmed by the person who BODIED the "rickest rick" is actually so crazy
The slo mo death scene reminded me of the Carl Urban Dredd movie. The part were he makes the villain take the slo mo drug then throws her off the roof.
There's an anime called bleach that did something similar. A bad guy got drugged in such a way that every second felt like 10,000 years. If I remember correctly he was basically immortal so the guy he was fighting had to come up with a creative way of dealing with him, in the process he also decided to very slowly stab into his body so the suffering would be many times worse.
*Aaron,* yes, *Rick Prime* said exactly as you noted - They're _"the only two _*_Ricks_*_ to have actually invented portal travel."_ IMO *Calvin* needlessly complicated the answer at 20:45. *EDIT:* And how is _the worst turd a pizza?_ 🤔
When I first watched this episode I was a little bummed it all happened so fast and so easy. But now I think maybe that was the point. It feels hollow to us the same way it feels hollow to Rick.
Evil Morty is a Sci-Fi version of Nietsche’s theorized ‘Übermensch’ (over-man) as his reasoning down to his finest details in demeanor revolve around following the laws of power: with what eludes to being ultimately as independently responsible yet free at the same time. I think his new home universe beyond the central finite curve and the chaos it engenders can be interpreted as a metaphor for true pure freedom being terrifying.
I love how they end the Prime Rick/Evil Morty arc. All ends of the spectrums, all extremes, gather in one room/scene. Mortiest Morty (our Morty) - Rickest Rick (Prime Rick). Mortiest Rick (our Rick) - Rickest Morty (Evil Morty).
What do you want to bet one of the movies in the next Avengers two-parter will have a fight scene very similar to the big fight scene between Rick, Evil Morty and Rick Prime?
The ending is someone going through what rick did but ultimately revovering and healing instead of getting revenge. Its a standard dig two graves thing but it works
Slowmobias was able to speed up and slow down segments of space when rick threw that party. He could have made rick snd morty fast and slowed himself down. Though one could say he was caught off guard. They could also be doing a call back to the dragon wizard death where he froze himself only to die slower.
Would've been even more shocking if Rick Prime put Bird Person in that erasure device, that was honestly where my mind went, but eh sure let's kill of Slow Mobius.
It makes sense. Almost all Rick's have a morty, which means they had a Beth, which means they had a Diane. however we know it was a rich that ended dianne. Since every rick on the citadel appears to not have a dianne, are we to assume that a single rick, or a rick that can't work with other Rick's, went about and ended every dianne?
I think it's interesting that they showed Slow-mobius's wife at the end because it shows the one thing that Rick never fully got and that was someone to move on with. Rick is in therapy now and is figuring his shit out but now that he is finally ready to let himself heal a little bit I don't think he still thinks he has anyone to understand him completely.
In Rick's memory they were both killed but clearly she must have pushed Beth out of the blast and Rick remembers they were both killed. Or worse his Beth was abducted and will return later. Lots of possibilities.
@@symphony_baritone The Beth & Diane from Rick C137’s world were killed by a bomb left by Rick Prime. At a later time, Rick Prime used the Omega Device to simultaneously remove all Diane’s from the multiverse,
I recommend Nuxanor's reaction on this episode, he did such a great job analyzing and describing whole Rick & Morty story, backstory and psychology behind whole series. Really amazing stuff How Prime Rick was so petty, so self centered, that he needed to feel better, or should i say have none other Ricks be better than him, so he did all of that. I feel like the Prime Rick might have been actually jealous of other Ricks being able to feel attachment and emotions, that they can care. And that's every other Rick who gave up for sake of his wife, his family, had no right to be alive thus killing what they loved was going to make them follow his route becuase in that very space, he was already ahead feeling superior.
going back and watching this again i saw that the backup Rick in the tank that was in the underground basement is missing, and i was just wonder if that meant anything
There’s something about the new season that makes it feel different, I want to jump and scream at this episode but I can’t because there’s something missing. It’s not Justin’s voice, I couldn’t care less about that, it just something, idk what
i wanna clear up some misconception about the central finite curve, first its name is faulty to say the least, so a portion of infinity that is undefined is still a infinity, what the central finite curve does is separe all the universes were rick exists from the ones were he doesnt, this was created with the help of our rick and a bunch of other ricks, probably to help our rick find prime rick.
I wonder if Dan was inspired by the Concept of Kang Dynasty in the marvel comics when creating Rick and Morty with the council of Rick’s and Rick prime being the first to ever create portal travel just like Kang Prime was the first to become the conqueror.
3:09 My thoughts exactly. If only Rick C-137 and Evil Morty would have just stayed in their own universes. Now they have access to a device that can wipe out a being from every universe in existence at once?!?

It makes us feel how rick felt. Satisfied but also.. lost.
Now what?
What do we do from here?
Whay is the point?
Our final goal is complete and now he and us have to figure out how to live in the aftermath of your greatest achievement
This is such amazing storytelling
Season 7 for me might he one of if not my FAVOURITE season so far
The only episode i didnt absolutely love was the first one and even that was good
The first half was weak to me, but the 2nd half steps it up
The central finite curve was all the universes where Rick was the smartest man and the only one with interdimensional travel, evil morty being outside of it there's a SHITLOAD of beings inventing interdimensional travel, that's why there were portals everywhere.
"What does it feel like to achieve your dreams? Empty, right?"
- Rick Sánchez (Episode 6x5)
Oh no! One of the best episodes and no Eric??
I think his dad is having some issues sadly
Lol
I think you might be giving him too much credit. All he really did was stumble into a trap faster. He is at the level of Rick or Rick prime sure.
I am concerned what else evil morty downloaded from rick primes brain apart from the super weapon.. that rick created some truly scary shit
@@YukoValisyou’re blind come on just accept reality
Even their augmentation are backwards compatible
His vision is still wide, and it hasn't narrowed from age and trauma, but he isn’t more powerful just because he's butting into a mirror match.
there was A LOT of callbacks i missed the first time i watched this ep, the fatter rick not liking pirates, slowmobius being the one who sped up the rick dance, and the ‘booger aids’ thing from morty’s mindblowers, then finally the ending being a callback to when morty had to bury himself
And the after credits with the music how Rick started his vengeance
Yeah lol same just noticed the pirates thing during this reaction
I didn't get the fat Rick pirate thing
@@JustinFasula in another episode (not sure which one) Rick and morty are attacked and the attackers try and use something that they assumed Rick was afraid of but he mentions he lied about it, but then when they bring pirates out he says something along the lines of “Oh shit that was real” basically confirming he is afraid of pirates.

To me an overlooked part of ricks character is he loved this woman we don’t know so much he can never be whole again without her. Infinite women among infinite timelines yet Rick still mourns for the one he lost.
Ngl I think season 7 might be saving Rick and Morty???
well, also the fact that Rick Prime killed/erased Diane from all the infinite reality so he can't even "relapse" to another reality's Diane

I hope everything is ok with Eric and his family wishing them the best❤❤❤❤❤
Top 3 episodes of R&M of all time. Instant legend. What an ep
I can’t be the only one that recognizes the song that plays at the end. It’s the same song at the end of 1x6 “Rick Potion #9”. Where they go to a different universe.
And the post-credit scene has the music from when we saw ricks backstory in last evil morty episode
La serie se volvió tan meta que ahora hacen referencias a ellos mismos
It’s also really sad in a way because at the end of Rick Potion #9, the song plays while Morty is just so traumatised, and in this episode, we see it from Rick’s perspective
@@JustinFasulaThe ways this series uses music deserves academic symposia.
Its kinda strange morty never refered to Diane as his Grandma, just as Ricks wife other than that this episode was phenomenal
Why would he? Our Morty never knew his Diane, or any other Diane. Also this Morty isn't our Rick's grandson so his Diane wouldn't have been Morty's actual grandma.
because if i never met my grandmother i would not called her my uncles wife its werid in real life its werid on the show period.@@Cazammaf

My jaw dropped and stayed dropped the entire time. I couldnt believe everything that happened! It was an amazing episode.
I like it a lot when this show does story driven stuff, this was probably one of the best episodes.
Alright time for a solo Eric bonus video.
Uncle Slo appeared in the first season, the last episode, when Rick makes a party in the house if I'm not wrong
The whole "booger AIDS" file names Rick comes up with has been an ongoing joke since the Morty's Mind Blowers episode back in season 3.
Yeah, maybe that’s what will happen in the end. Rick will somebody new to love.
We need a Reaction from Eric for this Episode
Your wish was granted. Check community posts.
The Weapon Too Cool Too Have A Name's blueprints are called 'Booger-Aids' that's so 'Rick and Morty' LMAO
So no, I wouldn't say we're getting him back
This reation is incomplete without Erick. You guys should have waited for him.
Wishing Eric and his family well, hope everything's alright
idk if anybody noticed but the song they used at the end was the exact same as when they left the cronenberg universe in season 1 ep 6 and morty was distraught, but this time rick is the one with that feeling, very good writing on their part
the fact that SO MUCH happened just out of the blue is INSANE
The post credits scene was SO dark... Turns out you can go through the exact same thing as Rick and NOT become cynical and hateful. It's basically an "F You" to every choice Rick has made. I love it
Hope you and your family are doing well Eric, take as much time as you need.
I’m pretty sure this went down as the greatest Episode in Rick and Morty
i like how evil morty, one of the most talked villains in rick and Morty, just casually walks in🤣 that part killed me!
best rick and morty episode of all time in my opinion. the story, the action, the characters, the comedy, the visuals, all 10/10. literally zero complaints
The only thing that confuses me, is that the curve was destroyed by EMorty, so it was rebuilt?
@@raviodelorule As I recall EMorty ESCAPED the finite curve, not destroyed the barrier outright.
This episode fucking rocked. Best one in a long time. Nothing will compare to the first 2 seasons, but this season has been amazing so far.
I like how Rick has that blank stare that Morty did after leaving his original reality
Esta claro que si morty malvado no hubiera estado presente, rick y morty hubieran muerto
What do you want to bet one of the movies in the next Avengers two-parter will have a fight scene very similar to the big fight scene between Rick, Evil Morty and Rick Prime?
man u guys have to upload it again with rick and erics reaction this was the best episode in a long time
The ending is someone going through what rick did but ultimately revovering and healing instead of getting revenge.
It was meant to start off with the lesser known ones and then work towards the better people. But obviously Rick Prime was defeated before he did so
Aw man, this episode was so great, could Eric do a catchup reaction to it? :D
I'm just in shock with how good it was. The whole time I was hoping that it wasn't a dream or a drunken binge or something awful.
In Rick's memory they were both killed but clearly she must have pushed Beth out of the blast and Rick remembers they were both killed. Or worse his Beth was abducted and will return later. Lots of possibilities.
No, you were correct the first time, that memory was what actually happened. Our Rick's Beth did die as a child in that garage along with his Diane.

I recommend Nuxanor's reaction on this episode, he did such a great job analyzing and describing whole Rick & Morty story, backstory and psychology behind whole series. Really amazing stuff
How Prime Rick was so petty, so self centered, that he needed to feel better, or should i say have none other Ricks be better than him, so he did all of that.
NOOOO. ONLY TWO REACTING TO THE BEST EPISODE?!?!
What if rick primes immortality is caused by plot armour that he's taking advantage of by being a villain

Rip Slow Mobius :(
going back and watching this again i saw that the backup Rick in the tank that was in the underground basement is missing, and i was just wonder if that meant anything
My favorite part was where "booger aids" as Rick's password came back after Summer mentioned it
I took the after-credits-scene as what could have been. She was en-route to becoming Rick, but she was able to move on.
Aww too bad Eric missed the best S7 episode so far with the conclusion to the main storyline!!

There’s something about the new season that makes it feel different, I want to jump and scream at this episode but I can’t because there’s something missing. It’s not Justin’s voice, I couldn’t care less about that, it just something, idk what
Evil Morty knows Revenge Summer is a threat, tapping back to the Night Family.
i wanna clear up some misconception about the central finite curve, first its name is faulty to say the least, so a portion of infinity that is undefined is still a infinity, what the central finite curve does is separe all the universes were rick exists from the ones were he doesnt, this was created with the help of our rick and a bunch of other ricks, probably to help our rick find prime rick.
So Rick finally did it. This episode was awesome.
If our Morty is Prime Rick's grandson then that means Prime Rick had a Diane and he still wiped them all out of existence. :o
It's like no one noticed they didn't play the intro... To show how serious everything is, not funny.
Chekov's Booger Aids
I wonder if Dan was inspired by the Concept of Kang Dynasty in the marvel comics when creating Rick and Morty with the council of Rick’s and Rick prime being the first to ever create portal travel just like Kang Prime was the first to become the conqueror.
3:09 My thoughts exactly. If only Rick C-137 and Evil Morty would have just stayed in their own universes. Now they have access to a device that can wipe out a being from every universe in existence at once?!?
Die Hard Rick, Indiana Jones Rick, 007 Rick, maybe Blade Runner Rick (grizzled / trench coat guy), Mr. Rogers Rick, and not sure about the one with the amulet + slicked back hair.
