Colombia is the only team in the world who has beat 5 world champions in the last 12 months , Brazil , Germany , Spain , Uruguay and Argentina , watch Colombia in this World Cup coming up.
The world cup is a totally different ball game, when the world cup starts everybody would be out for blood , spain ,Italy, everybody .
I am not surprised tbh. But they still have the play the best champion of Europe as of now in France with their Very fast Mbappe.
Spain is the champion of Europe and how Colombia played against Spain? @@davidvilla1247
@@davidvilla1247Colombia 3 France 2 friendly match March 2018. You don't believe me? Look it up!
They’re very formidable but they’re not winning a World Cup in our lifetime lol please wake up😂😂
James turns into Maradona when he puts on that Colombia shirt.. He's so good
Very underrated James. 🇸🇦 will be very happy to take him
Fr he turns into Zidane with Colombia
Okay let’s not disrespect Maradona like that
That’s not James Rodriguez it’s James Valderrama!
Ummmmm…. No.
James returns back the clock to 2014 World Cup in Brazil when he plays for the National team.
European soccer can sometime feel to friendly. In Conmenbol every game feels like a final because the countries have real rivalries. There are some games however that can be awful to watch due to fouls and theatrics
True.
south american football plays with fast pace while european football play with precision
agreed i literally stopped watching the European qualifiers i only watch the rivals games because the rest is so boring and meaningless. and in Euro it's like players with names just fall whenever they feel like it and the referee just blows his whistle. in Conmebol it's more interesting like you said every game is played like a final and people play it with passion as of their lives depends on it in euros is totally different they lack passion and fire for them is like the club has more value then country and in conmebol is the opposite.
CONMEBOL is by far the most difficult zone. Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay and Brazil are amongst the best teams in the world. Playing when it 90° and 70% humidity in Barranquilla, 13,000 ft in El Alto, 27°F in Buenos Aires during winter, etc… it’s a very hard qualifying race
Who said buenos aires is hi with compairing sea level, maybe Bolivia that is 3000mts hi see level that is difficult and Barranquilla in the hottest city in qualifyings. Get your facts right buddy
@@nathanunitedheilbron5676 What are you rambling about lady
Thanks for covering this match, fellas. Glad to see you covering CONMEBOL more often.
Most European teams would cry if they were playing in South America.. They've got harsh atmosphere, fiercest rivalries, intensity and heavy metal football
Are you kidding? Poor teams in Conmebol
@@CelebrityStylelifeyou know nothing
I would love to see a stat that shows the head to head records, between the best South American teams and European teams.
Bla-bla-bla I just don’t buy that
Preach brother them Europeans can't handle playing in South America. I think we all remembered when Brazil at home in the 2014 World Cup CRUSHED Germany with ONE goal to SEVEN 🤦♂
In the past 2 years, Colombia has beat Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Spain, and Uruguay.
Dont forget france.

I'm happy for James , he wasted too much time at Real Madrid with Zidane , it's time to shine again !
RM is never a waste of time
Oh yes it was zidane’s fault he didn’t perform.
@@hastaar2161 he did waste his time at Madrid was mostly a Bench player to Modric/Kroos.. then loaned to Bayern or watever. same happened to Isco/Assensio both wasted their career at Madrid they were bench players. Those players could've been legend at other clubs...
Zidane did not want Colombians at his real Madrid, is that simple.
@@treyjohnson8557 Take a look at his statistics
Im from Argentina. Colombia played well, no excuses for us. I think the problem in our team was the lack of Macallister, also Enzo didnt a great game, I think he plays better on the right, maybe LoCelso is better to put when Macallister is not available.
Yeah Macallister probably should have come un earlier for paredes, he has a better passing range.
Yep. Argentina can learn from this game but Colombia played a good game. They look super promising for the coming World Cup

Pen is 0.8 xg. So it'd a bit less
They will be a fierce competitor for sure. They’ll help show the world that South American football is not to be fvcked with

Colombia is one of the best teams in the world. The fact that those betting odds are what they are, speaks to the lack of knowledge of the oddsmakers.
Colombia is really a Great Team well focused on an evident serious Work!!.....
He has a silk glove on his left foot🇨🇴
I know everyone overrates European football, but I would pay so much to watch all the top level European nations, even the low level ones, play in places like Bolivia. I would love to see Mbappe, Bellingham, Rodri and others try to run at 4100 meters above the sea (13,615 feet above sea level for our American friends) for 90 minutes and then come out and say how easy was for them.
Playing against Ecuador at 2850 meters above the sea is hardest.
They will take time to adapt to it but their quality will shine through eventually. Once they adapt to it they will do well I think
@@rohithraman6488 HAhaha yes, they will need to live there a few years to adapt hahaha Some of you are delusional hahaha
I agree with all of you, Colombia is a candidate for next world cup, and Richard Rios is underestimated or infra valued, he should be playing in a better team, like any others of this team. Colombia is unbeaten in Conmebol, and already beaten Brasil and Argentina, besides that a tie with Uruguay, Colombia is a great, great, great soccer team!
Yeah, he plays in my position so I'm always looking for that type of player. I noticed him in the copa right away as key, and a really cheap option for a top Euro team. He'd be one of those players like Caicedo who gets bought by some Brighton level team for peanuts and sells for a fortune to a giant after a season.
South American soccer reminds me of street basketball. less polished but very physical, fast end-to-end play, and the fans are right on top of you, its pure adrenaline. I Think there will always be less eyes on South American players because there so few in Europe but i"ll take the Copa any day over the Euros. its futbol at its purest form.
I don't think that South America has less talent than Europe. If you make a list of candidates to be the GOAT 3 or 4 are from South America.
“I think there will always be less talent in South America compared to Europe” lol idiotic statement
@@bolasdefraile Yes I totally agree but i'm talking about right now. The best 20 clubs are heavily filled with europeans and they are all very good. There's only a small amount of Latin American players sprinkled into those teams (and yes they are extremely talented) but not enough to compare with one another.
Yet they stand toe to town with them
@@countryclubpoper You have to be no older than 15 years old to say something like that, South American football is less polished than European football? and they are good but not enough to compare to Europe's players????? you have to be joking right? Let me remind you of something, Last greatest Player Messi, before him Ronaldinho, before him Ronaldo Nazario, before him Maradona, before him Pele.... even the second players from South America where equal or better than the best Europeans, how could you say something like that...
Commnebol has arguably better competition and more parity but the federation itself is worse
@@Joswag agree , it’s terrible
As well as the refereeing. This is largely why there's so much drama in it. Players are allowed to get away with murder and all manner of cheating. In the end, it's actually the spectators who are cheated out of their money. The ball was actually in play 47% of all 100 hundred minutes clocked. Part of that is due to the intense heat. This also needs to be curbed. Countries can be allowed to choose the venue, but not the time the game is played at, especially if it puts the players at risk and ends up being detrimental to the quality of the game. This game should've been played at sundown, and we might've seen some actual football being played.
Exactly. The only downside to the Copa America this year wuz the refereeing and the lack of VAR. It really changed the outcome of alot of games
I know why they are good, they use the same idea like argentina did, with James Rodriguez being the playmake (like messi) and the other's working around him so he can produce magic (like argentina does for messi)
Remember that Argentina's only goal came from a mistake by Colombia, not because they were on the attack and scored the goal. Colombia 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴❤️🇺🇸
And Colombia's win came only through a penalty, the game could have easily have ended in a draw so take a chill pill.Lets give Colombia their flowers for the hard fought win against the current world n copa America champions whom they still lost to in that final recently. But that doesn't mean we take away from Argentina, yes it was a mistake from James but the goal itself was not a sitter, it took some individual brilliance of dribbling n composure that led to the goal.
At their best, Argentina is still the better team though . Let's get real
Y colombia hizo un gol con un penal inventado
So much more competition in Conmebol that in UEFA.
wut
They need Tim Vickery to talk about these South American qualifiers
he's the best
Listening to Tim Vickery talking about South American football is great. It's very refreshing to hear a British football expert who actually watches football outside England, and Europe for that matter.
Stevie has always been my favorite ❤ Viva Colombia sueña en grande
How are England and Brazil higher than current world champions in odd makers? 😂 lost 3 games in 5 years (1 loss every year since 2022) delusional odds. France with their garbage football is 2nd favorite???
Argentina with messi and Spain are my hot favourites in 2026 worldcup. Then come Germany,France and Brazil.
Richard Ríos great player
CONMEBOL qualifiers is in another level of competition, there are many "lower tier" national teams, but the demographics diversity of the continent give that "lower tier" national teams a really solid chance to compete hand to hand with the region "powerhouses" and to finally trach the WC spot.
I love how Steve's comments on how he "loves CONMEBOL" are a direct affront to all the fair weather fans who wear Messi, and (in the past) Neymar kits with pride without knowing anything about South America as a whole.
I think he was talking to you there Herc. Of course Herc had to get in his "highlights" from Argentina, because he is one.
James best 10
In what universe does Brazil have a better shot at the WC than Colombia? What are those bookies snorting?
Vamos Colombia🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴

James 10 del REAL Madrid is a legend, "zurda de oro".
CONMEBOL is blessed with talents from under 17 through to the senior national teams both men and women,if i were to be a manager in Europe thats where i will buy my players. From 2006 to 2018,all FIFA world cup have been won by UEFA teams,so COBMEBOL got to work very hard 💪
colombia should have the same odds as england to be honest. Born in england to colombian parents i really wanted that finalissima 😢😂 world cup 2026 please make it happen!
Colombia new win world cup 2026
I'm Colombian and incredibly proud of our team and this bounce back win. One criticism I have of our team though is the lack of playmakers we have. If James Rodriguez isn't on the pitch, we don't unlock defenses as well. We need another chance creator when James isn't on the pitch.
I think one of the main reasons Colombia is not on the favorites to win the world cup, is because James will be two years older by that time. Is there anyone that Colombia is preparing to take over James spot?
Yaser Asprilla
It’s not only James playing sure he’s our most important player in offense but overall we have currently the best players in each line in South America. It wasn’t a luck that we were 30 games unbeaten, got to the final of the copa America, had beaten 5 would champions in the last 5 months including euros and americas champions (Argentina and Spain) and are the only team in the world unbeaten in World Cup qualifiers. Messi is the best of all time and even in his prime he lost cups to Chile twice and German and was very close to no winning anything at national level
Yaser Asprilla, is so young but is amazing...he's already in the National Team
Nobody can ever replace James Rodriguez unfortunately. But I’m certain the younger players will step up and shine their own way.
The good thing about Colombia and Argentina is that they learnt how to play as a team. It is not anymore about the level James and Messi can be at the next WC, their mere presence power up their teams.
7:19 - spot on Ale. I saw it right away in the Copa. He's essential in that team. For a top Euro club, he's a bargain waiting to be bought.
Nobody is talking about the referee now? That penalty was a joke and the goalkeeper clearly made a foul against Alvarez. When Argentina wins everybody cries for everything but now they make it look as if James played a 10/10 game 🤣 Argentina made the whole world cry, amazing ⭐⭐⭐
Jajajaja es verdad,la unica forma que tienen de ganarnos es con penales regalados jajajjaaj
I really like ESPNFC, but Nicol has to go. I cannot watch any segment with that unintelligent, unprepared, lazy, angry windbag. He adds nothing, just subtracts.
On top of all you said, he’s also very jealous and super bias
@@tobyward9784 his analysis is bogus
When he gets asked a question its like " how long you got" as a response to the question. Without actually adding anything with substance
And his football knowledge extends to Liverpool, Man U, England and probably Scotland. That’s it.
@@finfog4590 he hates england
I love Nicole he absolutely needs to stay as long as he wants , ESPN DONT TELL YOU THE NICE THINGS YOU WANT TO HEAR ,espn tells you the truth .
This reminds me of 94 when Colombia beat Argentina 5-0, they celebrated that and used that to prove themselves candidates. Qualifiers performance has little or nothing to do with the actual World Cup, and Colombianos need to take it for what it is, just a win in qualifiers
This team still lacks a bit of venom in the attack without Messi. The goat needs to be back ASAP
Messi breaks any defence line with his swiftest of touches man that's what Argentina misses the most without him, they may have goalscorers but not the proper provider like Messi in the team plus they are mentally way much more improved than before but with and without Messi, there's still a gap in mentality and faith
I agree with Stevie, Conmebol is far better especially in the rivals games is amazing because the referee doesn't blow for every little dive that is made. the game flow is much more there the referee only blows when he sees a dangerous play.
In Euro's it's terrible nobody touches you and they literally fall and am like what?
i saw the game France vs Belgium and i couldn't believe what i was watching every 5min the referee blows for a non foul action. they don't even touch you and they fall like someone kicked them in half and the acting is crazy are you sure you wanna play football or become an actor instead? and these players get paid 300k a week.
It is official. Colombia is Argentina's rival. It is no longer Brazil.
If we’re talking about currently then sure, but still, historically and traditionally, it will always be Brazil
No it's not
Hahaha in your dreams… as I said it before the game… let them win this one … we got the cup and they would be happy for a while … let them enjoy and chew that bone … excuse me, who is the world champion?😂
You need to sustain that over decades. Good luck.
As a Colombian I will tell you we have always seen Argentina as our biggest rivals, but Argentina has never seen us that way. Brazil has always been their biggest rivals. Whether or not they see us differently now idk. I'm not Argentinian. But to Colombians we love talking about how we kick their arses 5-0 🇨🇴
Why is Messi heading to the next world cup not being spoken about.
Because he hasn’t said that he’s gonna be there. There’s a good chance that he’ll retire after Finalissima next year.
@@manan612 there is a SLIGHT chance he retires from the national team next year, most probable thing is that he continues and plays the next WC.
@@Rodrigos812 He’s been having too many injuries since he came to the MLS. If it stays this way, I don’t think he’ll play the WC in 26.

It is highly recommended and a MUST for Real Madrid management, board of directors, coaching staff, people working in their club who are involved on the transfer-market to permanently sell who are currently out on loan to play for another football club, do not offer a loan with buy back clause or with a number or percentage rights, recall or return players that are currently on-loan by another football club to play for Real Madrid, ageing ((28) years old and above), inconsistent (due to limited playing time, never have played and always on the bench, poor defensively, not performing well) regardless of age, injury prone, those who are not comfortable playing in different position, that MUST happen on or before July 2029. We are referring to Modric, Vasquez, Daniel Carvajal Ramos "Dani Carvajal", Courtois, Alaba, Rudiger, Mendy, Daniel Ceballos Fernández "Dani Ceballos", Jesús Vallejo Lázaro "Jesus Vallejo", Francisco José García Torres "Fran Garcia", Diaz, Juan Miguel Latasa Fernández "Juanmi Latasa", Reinier Jesus Carvalho "Reinier", & Guler.
Confirmed leaving Real Madrid as some will no longer renew, return to their respective football club that are being loaned out to Real Madrid and a few getting sold permanently with or without a buy back clause on or before September 2024: Rafael Marín Zamora "Rafa Marin", Kroos, José Ignacio Fernández Iglesias "Nacho", José Luis Mato Sanmartín "Joselu", Arrizabalaga & Nicolás "Nico" Paz Martínez.
Once they get sold these are the players should be sign based on their positions on or before July 2027.
Right Back: Jesus Fortea, Josh Acheampong
Left Back: Alphonso Davies, Joskol Gvardiol
Centre Back: William Alain André Gabriel Saliba, Vitor de Oliveira Nunes dos Reis
Centre Defensive Midfielder: Rodrigo "Rodri" Cascante
Centre or Attacking Midfield: Florian Wirtz, Franco Mastantuono
Lastly Real Madrid must never offer a contract to these players for a RIGHT BACK position, that are inconsistent regardless of age, poor defensively, has disadvantage of height and strength (lacks muscles), proven already that unable to stop wingers/strikers in different leagues, injury-prone, has beyond 60 million euro's transfer-market value, and ageing 27 years old and above, and turning 27 years old and above on year 2027. We are referring to Darmian, Walker, Trippier, Di Lorenzo, Cancelo, Kimmich, Dumfries, Calabria, White, Mazraoui, Ryerson, Wan-Bissaka, Molina, Alexander-Arnold, Hakimi, Tomiyasu, Royal, Dalot, Porro, James, Boey, Frimpong, Couto, Livramento, Rensch, Terracciano, Gusto, Bradley, Sanchez, Lewis, Fresneda, Gray, & Lima.

Dude undermining the Colombian players for playing “out of nowhere” that’s because they’re not Brazilian or Argentinian. If they where from those countries, they would play in huge team. Richard Rios wanted by Liverpool and Man U, but his current team did not want to let him go. Arias also wanted by other big European teams , the pass did not happen. They both play in Brazil. . Crystal Palace is not a bad team, they’ve been doing well! Barcelona and other teams wanted Muñoz from Crystal Palace the pass just didn’t happen 🤷🏻♀️. Just because a few of them are in smaller teams doesn’t mean they aren’t great players! 😅. James used to play for Real Madrid and Bayern, Duvan Zapata used to play for Tottenham, I don’t need to mention Luis Diaz 🤷🏻♀️. Quintero used to play in Porto, used to play for River, now he’s currently playing in Racing Club in Argentina. These players have experience, they are great players and yes they are older now, they may not be as faster, but still have their talented fútbol.
