Hi - I've looked into this claim about D. H. Lawrence visiting Kasar Devi, and it doesn't appear to be true.
What definitely is true is that Lawrence's close friend, the painter Earl Brewster, lived there. But so far as I can see, Lawrence never visited India, only Sri Lanka.
