You need to be your own best friend before finding those other closest friends, and also you need to be grounded in unconditional self love before safely being in a relationship with a lover without "needing" them (neediness). Otherwise you are more or less set up for betrayal and heartbreak. The good thing is you can still have all these relationships once you are firmly grounded in self love and authentic confidence, because the right kind of people will be attracted to your strong boundaries, genuine kindness, honesty and utter absence of neediness. Sometimes the good lover(s) and the good friends come back to you after you have transformed into your authentic self. Sometimes you cannot get rid of the bad lovers and bad friends from your heartspace before finding the unshakable safety in yourself, after your transformation.

This song reminds me of my dearest friend who was there for me through my ups and downs and how she helped me to get out of my darkest times. But when she experience the same thing, when she was in her darkest times I wasn't there. I wasn't there for her like how she was there for me... And now I lost her, I lost my dearest friend and I wasn't there to help her.

Reminds me of a certain former best friend who didn't care at all about my mental health or anything, even tho they said they did, and yet I still always help them when they need me, because I don't know how to let go
During the year, I had like 5 reals friends, they were like brothers to me, we laughed, talked about everything, we did everything together etc..... Sometimes they dealt with problems like family, love or depression, everytime I was there, no matter the hour, no matter what I was doing I always responded to them and sacrificed many nights of mine to make them feel better and help them because they were my "brothers" and they knew it. There we are this month, I dealt with a mini depression phase, I expressed my problems hoping that they could help me but they weren't even trying, they would just avoid the topic and my problems. Today, they all left me behind, betrayed me for no reason, left me alone after all I did for them. I hate them.

I don’t have many friends, one i called brother. I try my best to involve him in all my family activities and affairs because his own family abandoned him, I talked to him when he’s down or depressed. But when I was hospitalized he was nowhere to be found. Never once came to see me.
Bro this brought back all the childhood trauma, breakups, and catching my gf cheating on me with one of my closest friends, going in n out of hospitalization for suicide but I'm glad that is all in the past but happy to be working and pushing through each day
